Weekly Updates and Some Worldbuilding: 08.24.2025
Worldbuilding:
― Kheordad: Fourth and last month of Autumn, last 34 days. Real world equivalent is November.
― Sakhrath-Ib-Anath: An ancient Myelian Sect, formed in the late centuries of the Second Era of Mending, by the Twelve who broke away from the hold of the Black Rose, journeyed across to the south to prepare its people against the onslaught of demons that followed five centuries after their arrival. Throughout the ages, they built their power base in the Crescent and the Tear of Heleion, aided the Shalaionian Sultan in building his empire, protected it against the invading heartlanders in the early centuries of the Second Era of Mending, before the remaining seven of the Twelve advised him to bow before the Emperor of Arghyria, pretend to be a loyal hound until the time came. Though by the end of the long and costly Great War, the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath crumbled like the Sultanate. Or at least the Heartlenders and north believed so.
― The Twelve: Once proud disciples of the Black Rose, each received – allegedly – a dream from Myelia, where she warned them of the coming demons. All twelve bended together, parted from the magnificent shadow of Freianna, and marched south. Teirath Seven-Fingers was one of the known Twelve, the Scarlet Sorceress who protected the Kesothis Peninsula during the Second Demonic Crusade.
― Presently, they reside in the Ehruem Theocracy and Orhmedia, where they slowly are rebuilding their Hosts. As of now, only the Zamirion Host reformed under the Illustrious Prophet, the enigmatic Agaidh, leader of the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath.
― Thorned Seekers: The ecclesial branch of the Black Rose Coven founded in the 1897th year of the Second Era of Mending, created by the so called Hallowed Hersith, Yngvild. The first Naurdian invited into the coven, granted the ceaseless magnificence of Freianna and the semi-immortality, magnitude of the elves. And her devotion increased too towards both the Black Rose and Myelia, her divine mother. For this reason, she established with fellow likeminded Sisters the branch maintaining the temples, brothels and other hallowed establishments of their Goddess, whilst also hunt for the relics lost throughout the ages. Including the Jewel of Seven Stars, taken by Teiraeth Seven-Fingers.
― Their branch consists of Jafnriarhs, justiciars, protectors and hallowed warriors of Myelia who wear the branch’s variant of Dragonidh Leather, that emanates a cold radiance. Above them are the clerics, the Gudlaeths who besides smiting down the enemies of Myelia with hallowed spells, hold sermons, impart lessons to those wishing to bask in the magnificence of Myelia. And the seekers, the hallowed brawlers, hounds of Myelia traveling across the world, hunting heretics and the relics of the Black Rose and Myelia taken from the north.
― Kesothis Peninsula: Also known as the Tear of Heleion. The largest peninsula of Heleion, resembling the shape of a tear watched from above. The most diverse in biomes, ranging from deserts dotted with Mesas, oases, tropical jungles close the shores, temperamental in the central regions where vast meadows, woodlands sprawl, segmented by rivers flowing to the mountainous southernmost shores, where snow rinses down upon the ridges, peaks and the plateaus of Kesothis.
― Once was known as the heart of the Sultanate, though with their fall, the capital changed hands, became a colony of the Grauburgians and Hoshigawans, then in the early four hundreds, they gained back their own sovereignty after eight grueling civil wars.
― Now, a new Empire blooms in the Tear of Heleion, ready to inherit the role of the Sultanate in uniting the Crescent and the Tear.
Updates:
― So, the last story of August is a mix of a dungeon delving and infiltration stories. The main character is Tawheeda, now a member of the newly reformed Sakhrath-Ib-Anath, their first agent. She got elvenized too, so she can appear as the timeline expands further out. There is also a second protagonist, the sole source of GID (Guy-In-Distress) who is the child of two characters featured a long time ago, and once. Characters I meant to feature more in these Indiana Jones type stories, but kinda forgot.
― This is also the proto story of the tomb-raiding equivalent of Bound Diaries. And a semi-prologue to the future storyline focusing on the Ehruem Theocracy, the Kesothis Empire and the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath who shall be the eyes to the south to your dear readers. The Southern Black Roses as I tinkered with their backstory a bit. Though I think originally, I had the same idea, just haven’t elaborated on.
― Also expanded on the Thorned Seekers. Added two more ranks along the seekers, who will have their proper northern elven name, but for the time being I continue referring to them as Seekers. Jafnriarh’s is their common red shirts/mooks/henchwomen, whilst Gudlaeths, I just wanted clerics.
― Regarding the December Story, the storyline in Ang-Thaughtur has been finished, whilst the slow march of the separatists in the Umbrillien Hinterland hastens. So, in September, a War Tale story may expand further on their defense of Maba during the Uprising of the City-States conflict, the Bound Diaries as mentioned before focuses on Umbral Archons aiming to get their hands on the formula of the krabby patty. I mean Dragonidh Leather and possibly Ginnuerna Satin. And may have a third, introducing the Espionage variant of Bound Diaries. Though it may turn out to be an October story. I just got inspired whilst watching Guy Ritchie’s Operation Fortune, namely an airport segment with two agents in “red shirts”.
