Writing, Editing Progression:
Hey there my dear readers!
As mentioned before, the month of October will feature three Spookinktober stories I worked on the past two weeks.
First of which will be tale set in the First Era of Mending, based on the Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allen Poe. Though in this case, it will feature a quarter-dwarf Arghyrian Noblesse and a Disciple of the Black Rose who poisoned her court with her otherworldly elven beauty.
Second is based on M.R James The Mezzotint, a story focusing on a lone Vordriarh growing bored during her patrol in the raided mansion of a Necrolyte noble. As it sometimes happens in horror, her curiosity may lead her to her doom, when she steps in the forbidden Display Room.
The third and final story, is based on Algernon Blackwood’s The Wings of Horus. Here too, the main POV shall be an empathetic, kind dark elven Vordriarh, tasked with guarding a dracorith noble afflicted with a madness making him think he is Great Nadrediorn himself.
All three are fairly short from the usual. Aimed for 2.5k words at max, a little bit of practice against meandering. And hopefully, by the time this goes up, all three will have their final edits, and uploaded for early access.
Lastly before moving on, November. As of now, I am thinking of either doing four short stories, or two stories, each at 2-chapter length. Or one two-chapter length tale and two short stories. Which is what I am leaning towards as of writing.
Either way, the 2-chapter length one will most likely feature Selindrae, just not yet decided on what adventure leads her to be a damsel in distress.
And definitely want to do a story involving a rebellious Void Colony sabotaging a ship from calling on reinforcements. There are a couple other ides floating in my head, written down in a file where I am collecting them, but not sure yet if they’ll be the ones.
Now, onto Story and Worldbuilding Progression!
Story, Worldbuilding Progression:
For this past month, I remained focused on the Covenant, specifically on the sub-factions a little bit, and more so on the caste system. Also decided that Nairenthian/Nauheimian will be their primary language for everything, except the more personal branches, private armies of the Hersiths and Thegriths (who got a bit of promotion from captains/field generals).
Won’t go into great detail, as things are up for change, adjustments. When it comes to the Thaumaturgic Hosts, both the all inclusive and witches-only Prime-Branches share all the castes, one just has a different name because it has a gender-specific history. Namely Skjaldmaeriths are the shield-maidens of the Viduthian Prime-Branch, Huscariaths are all-inclusive noble hex-warriors.
There are also the Einharjeriths and Valkyrieths who work on the same logic. But beyond those four, they’ll have the same castes.
Now for the military, infantry remains the Drengriarhs, the most common. Ginnungriarhs will be the naval equivalent, instead of space police (bit of a promotion). And there are two additional ones, as of now a marksman type caste and a pure close-range combat caste who are shock troops, infantry employed as the second wave in battles.
For mage-castes, Seidhaeth and Volvaeth got separated, with the Seidhaeths being pure battlemages, Volvaeths more a support unit. Heillaeths remain too, though may get their own group. And scouts, sentries are also pure mages, with the addition of being the first step to becoming a Covenant spy/assassin of the Tenebrous Hand.
Noble-Castes change is that they will have noble-caste mages (I do plan to add retroactively to the Eminent Circles and Covens too). The warrior side of this echelon remains the same (above mentioned + Varangriaths), maybe will get another.
The mage side will have Kunningarkens, who are just adept Seidhaeths/Volvaeths in their chosen schools of magic. Dragon/Gryphon/Winged Mount riders also fall into this section. Originally I was thinking of putting them in the warrior caste, but making them mages, with some weapon proficiency made more sense. Using a sword or even a rifle on a dragon seems hard or even pointless in my mind. And there is another caste, but for now, I leave them a surprise/secret.
Now for the Thaumaturgic Ministry of Harmony and Order, they are slightly more complicated. Starting with, their two Prime-Branches are the Fist of the Court (name still up for change) and the Umbral Court (Hidden Sects and secret police, like old NKVD, a bit of FBI).
The Fist have the Vordriarhs who in function remain the same, just as the Drengriarhs. The common constable the common folk can rely on (in a perfect world). But Hirdriarhs also make a return, in a similar role to their first and I think sole appearance (Practice Makes Perfect story). Constables specifically guarding the lands of nobles and politicians. There are also Vigjiarhs, a religious constable-caste, also responsible for dealing with heretics and Veurriarhs who are the military police.
They also have their own Magi-Castes, but beyond the Seidhaeths, Volvaeths and Gudlaeths, they other two are up for change.
Their Noble-Castes still match the Thaumaturgic Hosts (Warrior, Magi castes). These include the Asthyrr, who see a bit more combat compared to the common constables; the Hlaupthyrrs who are mounted constables, manhunters; Praethyrr who are the royal guard; and the Jafthyrr who are Justiciars, the elite police protecting cathedrals, and high priests, dealing with the more dangerous heretics.
For their Noble Magi-Castes, I have four ideas, but the names, I dislike. They too have their own adept magi, and holy sorcerers/sorceresses, but beyond those, the only unique one I am settled on are a proficient clairvoyant using their skills for detective work. Still want a fourth one, but the current binding-caste is needless, as skills like that seem important enough for a constable mage to possess.
For the Umbral Courts, castes are separated less on constable/mage, more on which division they belong to. The Umbral Archon branch being the secret police, has its own constables hunting political dissidents, terrorists, separatists, ETC. And wardens as they also responsible for running prisons and penal colonies. These being (as of now) are the Nattriarhs and Wardriarhs.
Similarly, their noble caste has their elite commando units, a mounted manhunter focusing escaped prisoners or dissidents on the run. And in their case, they also (rarely) have winged mounts, though no dragons. Dragons are the privilege of the military.
The Blacklight Court being the surveillance focused division, employs mostly wizards. And in their case, it also entails relying on prisoners either promised freedom and a well-paying job or brainwashed into service. And most of their ranks are filled with divination focused mages. Though they also train manhunter wizards/witches lent out to the Fist or the Umbral Archons.
Their elite, noble mages are a bit more colorful. There are the Dromlaug, mages who can mine or invade the dreaming mind, or even possess others. There are also the Runlaugs, who use enchanting in the form of runic-tattoos to create infiltrators, their very own spies. And want at least one, maybe two more.
And lastly, there is the Tenebrous Hand, the division of responsible for carrying out assassinations, sabotages. Their lowest are the Veidrin-Maorn who are practically assassins interns usually working under a Daodrin-Maorn (formerly known as Daormaorns) their seniors and the proteges of the higher caste assassins. Then there are the Fegryl-Skourn, the spies who do carry out hits, but more often, act as honey pots, take the sabotage jobs. They also have the specialized Hathrae-Hleyaern, witch-spies utilizing shapeshifting and mind-reading.
Their noble-castes are made up from the former top assassins, spies of the Hidden Sects. Which for honesty’s sake, was an accident. But the castes are the Hrafein-Rhyl, former Eyes of the Black Roses and the nightblades of the Eminent Covens in the south and the north, the Shinorhyl, formerly the Shinobi of the Lunate Circle, the Faudhn-Ithra the former Duskscales of the Snow-Scaled Hidden sect, with the addition of being assassins utilizing small beasts, insects. And lastly, the Augn-Murrid who are just the top assassins of the leftover.
And before I forgot, also did some adjustments to their leadership. In terms of castes, Hersiths are no longer the top-most, there will be a new one, but haven’t yet given it a name. But in terms of structure, the High Thaumaturgic Seat consisting of 9 members of this caste will be the supreme leaders of the Covenant. Below them are the High Seats of War and Ward, a war council of 10 Hersiths and the High Tranquil Seats of Order of 12 Hersiths overseeing the Thaumaturgical Ministries, and there are some lesser councils/seats comprising Thegriths.
Lastly on the Covenant, two small changes and additions. Ship-design is something I have been rethinking in terms of approach, classifications and so on. Monster-designs will remain, though may lessen and be the classification of battle-oriented ships. The small additions are mostly for uniform materials, and some design elements, mostly just added in a few branch specific fabrics.
Beyond the Covenant, also started on expanding on the Grand Guilds, given them their alliance its final name, the Illustrious Golden Unions. Their structure was my main focus for this week, a bit similar, but less branching compared to the Covenant.
Their top is for now referred as the Court of Trade-Princes, that branch by rank (Trade-Prince, then their direct relatives and sycophants).
Below them for now is the Nine Legions the Grand Guilds own through bribery, and serve as their military arm. Then they have the Illustrious Ministry of Advancements (Research and Development) consisting of the lesser magi circles and covens of Heleion, Northern Ralikhai and Baaneath, essentially enslaved through contracts (the inverse of the Covenant).
Then they will have the Umbral Archons, their covert intelligence branch and secret police during the Second Great War. And the Mercenary Guilds, their private armies created after they practically brought the Common Ministry of Fortune and Glory (adventurer’s guild).
In regards of the Nine Legions and the Mercenary Guilds, they are consisting of Cohorts (20 for the Nine Legions, 8 as of now for the Mercenary Guilds). Though the personnel number in their cases I’ll keep ambiguous possibly even after the end of the Story Arc. I did set a billion for the each Cohort of the Nine Legions at first, but as the conflict will stretch into a galactic scale, that seems small. Mercenary Guilds on the other hand a bit easier, though is up for change. But as of now their Cohorts are either 5k strong, or 10k strong.
Almost at the end. The last two things I briefly want to include here, about the overall storylines. Specifically, the two storylines that will feature prominently next year.
The Second Great War, which will be the main focus for next year, with its Year One. As of now, I had been brainstorming the events leading up which are as follows:
  • The formation of the Covenant, a good century before the Year One.
  • Various uprisings affecting both galactic powers across their void colonies.
  • The Fourth Corsair Troubles, where the two momentarily had to bend together against another alliance of space pirates.
  • And lastly, an uprising that serve to weaken the Union a little bit, allowing the Covenant to make their first move.
This last event, will lead up to the starting event. A 9/11 of sorts, involving a space station chock full of Thulyandivian merchants. An event behind which the Covenant may be responsible for encouraging the “alien” terrorists, or at least will capitalize on.
Beyond that, there are a few rough points I’ll want to hit along the way. This includes:
  • One that will directly follow the conquest of the home system, possibly with a returning assassin-type character taking out Trade-Princes, their closest sycophants in capture of the Covenant. A mini-storyline.
  • The second, is a secret project of the Covenant, they have been working on in Empty Spaces (more on them at a later time).
For the last, the Cabal Storyline. As of now, the couple of three things I outlined are:
  1. The number of tales, stories it will last.
  2. The first two stories, both of which will focus on the main antagonist, the Wrathful Rhonin, a member of the Orphanage of the Damned (Cabal, as of now, this is their finalized name).
  3. And expansion on his backstory, what drives him, what will be his overall goal that would make him a worthy Bond villain. Also came up with a fun gimmick to give him some conflict.
And that’s pretty much it. There are a few other small things, like a new alien race, and a couple other storyline ideas, but I leave those too for another time.
Thank you all for reading all this rambling. The next three stories will begin on the 28th of this very month. Until then, take care and have a pleasant September.

                         Monthly Updates: July of 2026

Before going into any progression related news, updates, I must make the announcement of a slight delay. The next story, will be coming out of Early Access on the 1st of August, as I’ll be away on vacation the next week.
                                                                        Writing Progression:
Welcome dear readers of this post. Still not wholly sure on the format of these posts, but here we go, starting with my progression on writing.
This month was a bit slow. I always slack a little after breaks, after weeks spent on outlining. Though this time around, started doing some preliminary writing. But as of writing now, got mostly finished with the first tale of September.
A Bound Diaries story, as of now titled Practice Makes Perfect 2. It is not exactly an epilogue, but I personally view it as one for the August story. In terms of timeline, it will take place way after the events of the Invasion of the Forsaken, but will contain some callbacks, as it will focus on Lyanrei and Astrydril. The two will have a few too many drinks, and thanks to that, shenanigans will unfold. As with all Bound Diaries, it is more smut focused story, with Astrydril going a little goblin mode on Lyanrei.
It also a sort of prologue to the next main Cabal storyline, but more on that a bit later.
The second tale shall also be a Bound Diaries one. This one will take place where the previous main Academy story took place, but in this iteration. It is titled as of now The Exchange Student. The tale itself will follow a half-naurdian (Nordic), half-moonkynd student scaling the Honored-Guest Tower of the academy with noble intents of losing her virginity.
It was a kind of random idea that came up whilst editing the revision story and doing some worldbuilding for next year’s stuff (more on that in the lore/worldbuilding section below). Also, a bit based on some Hentai where an all-female school/academy/university gets a male and all hell breaks loose, and a deluge of semen paints the blankets, walls and whatnot. And some lewd art involving bound men being dominated by females. And I also like captives escape and captors end up as captives’ scenarios.
As of writing this, I am a quarter down, as it has three characters. Loa, the above-mentioned half-blood; Oivindaer the effeminate male elf exchange student from the Snow-Scaled Circle’s Academy in the capital; and Naemi, a rival of Loa, a sraudornian witch. This one will have some awkward femdom stuff, a bit of NTR (kinda, but not really, just not sure what this kink is called if it has a name at all), and of course GID and DID.
Originally also planned two more stories, but one got moved to either November or December. The third will focus on a dark elven Seeker, on a mission to eliminate a bandit group nestled in the woodlands near the border of Wyruthrin and Schiaventiurm. This one will have some smut planned, but not as prominently as the first two. Outlining is mostly done for this, so once I am finished with the second, I’ll move onto this, but that will be in August’s first week.
The moved story will be a War Tales one, featuring the Snow-Scaled during the Uprising of the City-States of Central Eoran. But more on this later, just so I won’t repeat myself too much in the future.
Now for the Vicious Cycles. There have been some changes that I decided on these past few weeks. The August story took up more time than I expected, and though there are still plenty of time, I rather be slow and steady with these main stories. There are some points that I am unsure on, story beats, but I have a general idea on characters, the setting that changed with this decision, and the plot itself.
I think I mentioned it somewhat, but the first idea I had was a sort of hostage situation, on a research station beneath the sea. I did not wholly discard this idea, but this one will be a short story in either the War Tales or Shadow Archives group. With a heavy POV focus on the main antagonist, the Wrathful Ronin (I shall call him that for the time being). That short story I did outlining on, and probably be the last story for this year, whilst the Vicious Cycles will probably move to next year, with no concrete date set, but could be January. Will see how things progress.
Speaking of next year, let’s move on to the next section:
                                                            Worldbuilding Progress:
Beyond writing and outlining, I had also been doing some worldbuilding, on a broader scale than the looks of races, the uniforms of the Eminent Circles and Covens. Namely, been working on what shall be known as the Grand Draunneath Covenant of Thulyandiv.
The current Draunneath Circle is an alliance of Eminent Circles and Covens, kept together by their shared disdain of the Grand Guilds Union. But certain figures know that once the Union is gone, they may go back to fight amongst themselves, without the presence and guidance of the Great Divinities. So, they draft up plans that take a little while, partly because they thread with caution, partly because it takes time to convince and adjust plans for its structure.
So, this alliance evolves, and becomes a singular entity, a singular Grand Covenant (parts of the name are still up for change, adjustments on my part), that will also affect the world, will lead to the elimination of Nations, and the birth of Protectorates. Plus, some other changes.
Structure-wise, my current focus for next year, fell on the Military and the Law branches. In terms of names, the military overall will be called the Thaumaturgical Hosts of the Covenant, whilst the Law branch is a bit broader, so went with Thaumaturgic Ministry of Worldly Order and Harmony. And for now, I won’t ramble much further. Will just add that these branch too, with both having a Prime-Branch, and the Prime-Branches have their own branches, divisions, and so on so forth.
And the Prime-Branches in the case of military are just: One is just Eminent Covens, but named XYZ Host/Legion/Armies. In the case of the Thaumaturgic Ministries, one is a more typical law enforcement wing, and the Umbral Court being the other wing of it, that includes Hidden Sects like the Raven Eyes, the Umbral Archons that turn from assassins to KGB type secret police, and one focused on surveillance and support of the other two called the Blacklight Court.
On one last note of this: I also thinking of giving them three lingua franca, with the primary being Nairenthian, secondary being possibly an ‘elvenized’ latin, the tertiary either an ‘elvenized’ Japanese or Arabic. Or maybe they’ll have four languages used.
Will also start working on the Grand Guilds and their legions. Next year’s stories will all take place in the first year of the Second Great War.
Now for this month’s story. This I’ll keep short.
Three factions will feature to varying degrees in the story. The two primary and opposing forces, are the Coven of the Dusk Weaver’s, the Eminent Coven of Wyruthrin, a magocratic kingdom led by the Grand Princess of Night, the supreme sorceress of the coven. Similarly, they have their own elixir, or I should say elixirs. Unlike most other circles and covens, they have two.
The Elixir of Lunar Grace and the Elixir of Night’s Grace. And even these have three different types. One that turns non-elves into half-elves, non-dracoriths into half-dracoriths, and non-dwarves into half-dwarves.
The second major faction is the ‘antagonistic’ one, the Erudychin (known also as the Orange Movement of Workers), a revolutionary movement aiming to overthrow the Grand-Princess’s family, establish a communist regime, and has been responsible for a minor revolution that led to the events of the story.
The third faction, are the Wondrous Coven of the Silvern Stag, who feature in only one chapter, and just included them after deciding to have one, three-chapter long story instead of two. They only have one Elixir, that I am still fine tuning in what visible effects it gives. It is ‘elvenizing’ like the Black Rose’s and the Dusk Weaver’s, but has some additional changes, like introducing a natural platinum silver highlight in hair at the ends of each tress, their pupils turn pale silvern and their irises dark blue of a perfect circle’s shape. But I am also entertaining the idea of introducing some draconic changes too, as the Elixir’s origins lie with the Silvern Stag herself, their draconic divinity.
They also got the honor of being the owners of the setting, a small resort island south of their shores, north-west of Wyruthrin. An island with a history of swapping hands, up until the First Great War, where they seized Holdirpi Island [though I may got the name wrong, as I changed around the name a few times]. But instead of turning it into a maritime checkpoint, turned it once more into a resort.
In the Second-Era of Mending, the island itself housed a resort commissioned by the Imperial Family, who ran it for centuries as a summer resort, where they often met with the Nauheimian Royalties and Nobility for business. After Eoran rose up and broke away, they did convert it into an island housing a small regiment of legionaries, but it fell quite quick during the Great War.
During the events of the story, the Twilight-Princess of Wyruthrin visits the island, a gift to herself after the brutal campaign she ran to stifle the revolution. Of course, she did not succeed in the complete eradication of the rebels, some survived and plots her assassination. For this purpose, they sent one of their best assassin, a changeling [Fae-Touched human] to infiltrate the island, and eliminate the Twilight-Princess of Wyruthrin, Arletevehr.
There is still some stuff, minor like the fabrics used, the vogue of the constable and common sorceress/witch castes of each coven, but those will get plenty of description within the chapters themselves. Though the Dusk Weaver’s probably got mentioned this year, being one of the few who buy and use dragonidh-leather. Or at least a variant of it.
Anyhow, time to close this monthly update. Thank you all for reading these ramblings, take care folks!

Monthly Updates – June of 2026

Cachuil-Uth-Muhafirah: The Imperial Guard of the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath.
Though the history of the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath goes back several millennia by this point, on a technical level, the Cachuil-Uth-Muhafirah were the first of the branches to form during their rebirth.
In the 645th year, they formed officially from the loyal guard of the Witch-Empress–then holding the title of Witch-Princess of the southern province. A guard encompassing bewitching dames coming from elven, drachenkynd and djinnui stock, equally skillful with sword and sorcery. All donned in the finest regalia produced within the Empire. Outerwear of honey golden, with many-hued decorative detailing, and shirts, headwear of ink black. Which in present day changed, matching up with the assigned shades of castes.
During the civil war, they numbered only in a few hundred, continued in their role of protecting her majesty as she moved along with her armies towards Naprutaten, the then capital of the Empire in the northern province. Surviving members of the old order and foreign tutors trained them against the assassins of the former emperor, skills they carried over and passed down as their numbers expanded after their official establishment as a branch.
In the passing years, they maintained their role of being the shield of the Witch-Empress, but their jurisdiction expanded greatly. From just being the official guards of her majesty Hesra, assigned guardians of all her family’s belongings, imperial lodges, the Cachuil-Uth-Muhafirah serve as our custodians, hounds of the Imperial Law in our great cities, towns, villages, whilst the military trained castes guard the borders of the Empire, offer the protection of the Witch-Empress abroad to anyone seeking it. And even reached beyond the gold and azure heavens these past few centuries.
The Svartfaeth Host: The Voidfarers of the Snow-Scaled Circle.
Our brave voidfarer’s origin are no different from all the others. Their officially documented origins though date back much further than even the Lunate Lotus’s, sometime before the end of the First Demonic Crusade. Back then, their numbers were small, consisted of foolhardy warriors of some sorcerous capabilities who ventured out into the wilds–drunk according to some annals–to seek out and tame wild dragons.
Not many of their names survived the passage of eons. Only that of Faufnilh the Fair, a brave dwarven dame from the Dragonmaw Peak of Eptirrion, whose challenge against the largest of the wild brood survived into the present day, and her name became the origin of the Faufnisriarh sub-caste. And Leiknir Dragonheart, who flew and fought abreast of Great Nadrediorn in the final battle of the First Demonic Crusade.
During the First Era of Mending, they formed the Ormidraeth Circle, enlisted only the bravest willing to undertake the same challenge as the first generation. Many did, and many perished as expected, so their Circle remained small, during the first few centuries. Nearing the Second Crusade, they merely numbered a 152 per surviving records, whilst the Snow-Scaled Circle grew and gobbled other lesser circles into their ranks, after the oracles of the Great Divinities forewarned of the waning liminal barriers.
By the epochs of the Second Crusade, the Ormidraeth Circle became a Vassal-Order to the Snow-Scaled (in present day terms, a Branch), and their requirements grew laxer, as the Snow-Scaled sought the aid of more intelligent dragons. Through the conflicts of the Second Crusade, up until the middle-centuries of the Second Era of Mending, the Ormidraeth Host maintained a force of dragon, gryphon, large bat and manticore riders, congregated into fifteen battalions.
During those middle-centuries, with the Magikraft Revolution in full speed, their ranks once more grew exponentially with the introductions of airboats. Though the importance of the winged mounts never lessened. During the Siege of Sraurpoint, they held back the rebel armies long enough to evacuate the imperial citizens and officials; eased the landing of Nauheimian forces in Tyrnala during the Great War; kept the Kesothisian sky hosts from terrorizing Hesra’s and so on.
The last great change came with the advent of void exploration. Sometime during the 400s of the Neo-Dawn Era, on the proposal of Hersith Haemian of the Ormidraeth Host, the council voted almost unanimously to rename the branch to the Svartfaeth Host, once the first of the voidvessel made its first round around Thulyandiv, without a need to return for a recharge of its Viduthian Engine.
With the expansion beyond the firmament, so did the Svartfaeth Host expanded. Once a lesser of the Hritvia Host in influence and personnel, it became its equal with each new challenge and conflict amongst the stars.
The Luxurious Strongholds of the Skies and Void:
The history of aerial strongholds and citadels are as ancient as any in Thulyandiv. There have been ancient tales of great palaces raised into the skies by the Fae and Great Divinities, where their most faithful were granted entrance. There is the renown Black Rose Isle of Nauheim, the rotund observatory of the Esparnian mage conclaves, and the Heavenly Oasis of the Witch-Empress of the Tear.
What may surprise some of our readers, are the fact that the first vessel to go beyond the firmament was no Dragon-Class dreadnought or cruiser, but a Voidstation assembled by the Snow-Scaled or the Black Roses – our sources are quite unsure – propelled beyond, somewhere in the early centuries of the Neo-Dawn Era. Though it met a sorrowful end after some miscalculations resulted in its Supercharged Mana-Core collapsing, plummeting it back to the central ocean.
For centuries, no new citadel, stronghold had been constructed, as the focus fell on the development and improvement of Voidvessels.
Then somewhere in the 600s of NDE, a gargantuan rhombus-shaped citadel reached beyond the sultry heavens, occupied the emptiness betwixt three of our system’s planets. From its edges, great black fins projected, expanding the number of personnel-on-board to several thousands, who ensured it wouldn’t meet the same fate as its predecessor. Decades flew by, without any major incident.
On occasion, there had been rumors of spies and saboteurs of some terrorist movement slipped past the security’s vigilant eye, but once it passed its first century, further forty-nine citadels got commissioned across the world. For the first time in centuries, the Grand Guilds and Eminent Covens and Circles came together, produced these Voidstations, improved on their thrusters, to expand their role as military command centers.
Up until the 1300s, these served well all the armies of Thulyandiv in the coming conquests and colonization of planets not so abundant in kyndred. Then as new designs got made, the first generation got retired, serving more as hotel resorts across the cosmos. Including planets like the cleansed Votum Prime, or the wild realm of Dyreford.
Beloved Daughter of Shadows:
  • Name: Rhommiriel [her family name had been lost to history, if there were any.]
  • Age: Unknown [Estimated to be 7000 at least. Her name comes up in some annals, but this could be another Rhommiriel].
  • Origin of Land: North-Eastern Naireanth.
  • Race: Godkynd; Elf. Carries the Umbral Seed of Taelikera, Great Goddess of Shadows, Luck, Divine Patroness of Thieves, Scoundrels and Assassins.
  • Visible Traits: Upturned, Almond-Frame Eyes of Grayish-Black sclera and purple pupils with a hint of gold. There have been old accounts mentioning her silky skin being as white as porcelain, with shadowy spots billowing across the silky expanse. But these rumors hadn’t been confirmed yet fully.
  • Outfit: Wears the same divine regalia for centuries. An inky black suit covering her from head to toe, with liquid leathery texture and gloss, with a cowl and a white porcelain mask of likewise divine nature.
    • Both pieces enhance her reflexes to supernatural levels [nigh divine], on top of augmenting her shapeshifting capabilities.
  • Personality Traits: Bold, but cautious. Deceptive and charismatic. Upholds a rule of no killing. Patient, strikes only when she is assured of total success.
  • Feats: A master of shapeshifting and shadow magic.
    • There had been rumors that she is quite capable fighter, but as of writing this report, nothing concrete. Be wary regardless!
    • Exceptional thief, as she earned the divine regalia she wears. These feats include stealing two of the Black Roses’ rings gifted to her by Viduthia; confiscating an ooze experimented on by the Snow-Scaled Circle [we should have thought of ooze pets for our spies]; stole the Blade of the Red Moon owned and passed down amongst the eldest sons of the Lunar Shogun; emptied the library of the Daughter of Midnight, one of the former disciples of the Black Rose who set out south, and myriad others. [Note: The cherry on top, she never seen the inside of a cell in thousands of years, unless there was something valuable in there.]
Reward for Capture: 500.000.000 Dragonmarks!
The Updates:
And a month passes by. This one started out as another weekly, written like two or three weeks ago by now, but as I started brainstorming, outlining, editing, realized in this heat, I had little energy left to write the worldbuilding stuff and updates.

Though, for now, this format remains for June, July onwards, I think I’ll merge the two, but still will keep mentioning that things are up for change. And will do worldbuilding stuff separate, as a smaller future project, probably starting out with the Eminent Circles and Covens, compiling and detailing their history, structure, vogue and some other stuff.

Similarly, will do character profiles for major returning ones like Astrydril, Rhommi, Lyanrei and Saemundur to mention some.

Actual writing wise, as can be seen in my profile on Substar and DA, the July and August story both got finished in terms of writing, editing and both are up in early access. And for now, for a few weeks I’ll rest and continue working on outlining the stories that remain post august.
Starting with working out the character roster of the Vicious Cycle story, the ones beyond the major characters like Astrydril, Lyanrei, Saemundur and the two antagonists, Elrirk the vengeful samurai, and his protégé, a mixed-blooded samurai from a ronin family. And slowly developing the setting too, though on occasion I wonder if I should do something else, but I really want a setting of a submersible station or submarine. And possibly, this will have both as the story progresses.

Also began just drawing up ideas for kinky situations to come up, and there will be a long, continuous one with Astrydril, who may or may not get captured intentionally. Though I must admit, the two’s storyline feels a bit daunting, especially as I wonder how much their ‘relation’ progressed since the last time.

Hence why I am thinking that either one of the September or November story’s, a bound diary will focus on the two, a bit smutty, but nothing too explicit. Yet.
Likewise, I am thinking of doing a story set right after or somewhat after the August story, trying to redo a how the Escape Exams look in the Black Rose Academy. Though, this one will most likely will have Lyanrei end up in a bind, teased by Astrydril.

Beyond these, I’m also currently outlining a prelude to the Vicious Cycles, an introduction to Elrirk, the main antagonist. Partially because I set the chapter limit to five for this one. That felt easier to manage, compared to the eight or nine of the previous main story. Plus, I want the story to have a quicker pace. Less sitting around, less skulking around, neutralizing patrols, though the story will feature a lot more sneaky characters.

Lastly, still plan to do a Selindrae story, and some other DID story, involving lesser conflicts. Definitely want to do a caravan ambush story, with some ryona/zako, and war prisoner style bondage. Also been working on some future stuff.

Mostly relating to next year, that I want to do some pre-preliminary work for. That year, will focus on the next grand event in the history of Thulyandiv and the Void-Between-Worlds, and will be the year where the Grand Guilds and Draunneath Circle will clash one last time. Possibly.

Anyhow, the last thing worth mentioning is be prepared. This Sunday, the uploads for this month’s story will begin. Three chapters, following Rhommiriel on an aerial resort above the lush northern continent of Dyreford.

Coven Vogue: Fidelity Through the Ages [Excerpt]
If there is to be an award for consistency, it must be given to the Volvaeth/Seidhaeth Caste, whose fashion, design and elements remained night the same through the passing of ages. One clear from the remaining murals from the ages of the Great Divinities, depicting ceremonies with their mortal desires in flamboyant robes, with draping cloaks, with great collars that on some occasion could serve as impractical hoods. And of course, staffs, though with the advent of wand pistols and stave rifles, their weaponry almost ceased to be.
One must also not forget that these elements also got passed onto other castes, even in lands not as cold as ours, including the lesser covens and circles of the Heleion.
Though of course, some minor changes affected the Volvaeth/Seidhaeth-Caste. Their robes were changed into more structured coats, cloaks incorporated and shortened so they no longer scrape the ground, making movement all the easier. For the main caste, these capes also include some asymmetry, with the left side lengthened, whilst there is a slit at the front to create a curtain effect. Collar remained the most common worn through the ages, using a standing funnel shape of cheek height and ample space. Both coat has an overlapping, double-breasted front panel, with the zipper concealed for a smoother look. The shoulders, sleeves, hem and waist-belt all follow the universal design of either orders common castes. Sleeves long and flared at the cuffs; belt broad and tasseled; hem with the right and left asymmetry parallel to the cloak’s; shoulders padded lightly.
For the most part, Seidhaeths of the Snow-Scaled prefer long and tight trousers to differentiate themselves from the primary female-oriented caste of Volvaeths, who still tend to opt for long and flowing skirts over trousers.
And as mentioned before, their choices of weapons decreased, ever since the invention of Magi-Gloves. Long pieces coming in pairs, that act as mediums, conductors like staves and wands did in the past. Quite fashionable pieces, limited only to be used by Circle and Coven members. Each finger ribbed in a vein-style, that extends over the upper hand, slithers along the lengthened shaft ceasing at the silver inlaid and folded back cuffs near the elbows. Though it is unknown to us, what fabric they use, one thing is certain, it eases the step of focus, quickens the manifestation phase.
Wear beneath the robes were quite varied in the past, ranging from tunics to dresses. But in present, both the Snow-Scaled and the Black Roses opt for buttoned Dress Shirts of hip length, usually tucked under trousers and skirts. As with all their shirts, the Hritvia Host dyes them a deep black, the Black Roses opt for two. The primary snow-silvern, and a rich, ancient purple of deep red hues. Some speculate the color comes from Thyvian Vines used in the ceremonies involving the Great Divinities; others mention possible records of such color used for witch-nobles somewhere in the early centuries of the First Era of Mending.
The Gynnunghaeths’s uniform varies minimally. The collar has been made in an open design, with the closure stopping right at the neckline. Shapewise, they emulate old partlets of sorcerer-families aligned more with the draconic divinities, in part because they began as the trained magi of the sky faring Host before evolving into their present forms. The front panel itself has a more streamlined look, with a pair of dragon-wing lapels at the chest, just below the collar, and a central, zipper closure hidden under a narrow panel. The hem’s back ends at the calves, whilst the front has an arch like opening, ending near the knees – same as the cloak. Shoulders are lightly padded, and follow an eastern pagoda-style with a pronounced upward curve.
Their sub-caste color, a vibrant reddish-brown like precious carnelians they bear upon their shirt’s collar, trim, hem and cuff.
In regards of the Gudlaeths of the Thorned Seekers, I must make a small correction of an earlier statement. Though most of the caste foregone on dressing in robes, the Gudlaeths still opt for the antique garb. Though one structured to the point it borders on being considered a coat. Like the main caste’s, theirs too are double-breasted, featuring a panel lapping over the front, with a waist section quite eye-catching with its corset imitating silhouette. Three belts cinch said waist, each with a rectangular plate engraved with the hallowed symbol of the Coven. The collar itself the very same as the Volvaeths/Seidhaeths.
The prominent changes include the use of the Inverness Cloaks invented and heavily used by the Worldly Court’s own military branches; the two stolas of silky suppleness and dyed snow-silver framing the overlapping front panel, emblazoned with the Triple Bloom motif of Viduthia (symbolizing the Goddess, the Black Rose herself, and the Coven itself); the asymmetrical hemline folded or wrapped like a napkin at the end of the long skirt. The last change itself relates to their shirt, which instead of using a secondary tone, opted to a singular, snow-silver dye, with the decorative embroideries, brocades using a raven black color (for the Elevated Sisters).
Headwear, they all opt for a variety. Wide-brimmed conical hats sometimes adorned with translucent, masking stripes; magus-crowns adorned with draconic horn sculptures and set with gems containing spells; tiaras or metallic hairbands; voluminous and slightly slanting berets; Viduthian Masks with a wide variety of coverage, ranging from face and crown, with a veil cascading from the lower rims, or just their faces, or just half or a quarter. Of course, retractable hoods are also parts of their outerwear, but it is rare to see one nowadays.
Infernal Encyclopedia: The Demons and Devils of the Desirous Legions.
Demons and devils come in many shape and forms, as is the nature of those of Chaos. Small and large; grotesque and enticing. Here, in this tome, we shall gather the many forms, the names bestowed upon these beasts and what our ancestors learned about them during the two demonic crusades that nearly ruined the creation of the Great Divinities.

  • The Phallus Worms: One of the smallest demons counted amongst the Legions of the Dark Desires (or Desirous Legions). Furtive beasts who whilst lack sapience, hold a greater sentience compared to the beasts of Thulyandiv.
    • These demons resemble long and thick phalluses with heads that sprout open to reveal a deceptive mouth lacking teeth. In truth, they can retract their teeth under the supple, viscous gum of theirs, and initially latch onto the body using their adhesive saliva. Which they can use to spit and immobilize or gag their victims.
    • Their main appetite is towards the genitalia of either genders. With phalluses, they swallow the whole thing, shaft and sack, dug their razor-sharp teeth to neighboring areas, and insert their tongue through the canal, ant start draining the victim of semen and insert their mind-controlling poison, turning the victim into a drooling, aroused zombie.
    • They are weak against the Divine Art and Hallowed Sorcery. Weapons enchanted or naturally magical in nature can also bring harm to them. But be wary, heat attracts them, cold repulses them. The latter could even be immobilize them without imbuing it with Hallowed Materia.
  • The Hounds of Desires: Throughout the early centuries, the Ur-Fiends and Devils surveyed the world and whilst tainted many aspects, they also created demons mocking the friendship between mortals and lupines. One of these demons are what are ancestors called the Hounds of Desires, who always accompanied the raiding bands and armies of the Ur-Fiend of Desires and Lust.
    • They are sightless infernal hounds coated in rubbery, viscous flesh, long and curving phalluses that can shout out a liquid which is thick as the bodies of oozes and slimes, capable of immobilizing their victims, whilst also emit a translucent and disorienting gas. Or even an acidic that can harm even Eminent-Grade Sorcerous Fibers. Though only after several shots aimed at the same, general area.
    • Unlike many other demons, the Hounds of Desires seem to lack interest in sapient beings, instead usually hunt and rape other beasts. Though a few annals mention them indulging on necrophilism, but as of now, these the veracity of these claims are highly questionable.
    • They are weak against the Divine Arts and Hallowed Sorcery. Weapons enchanted or magical in nature can also bring harm upon them.
  • Desirous Beasts: One of the larger demons amongst the infernal ranks of Desires and Lust. Demons bred for war and siege, meant to bring down walls and cause as much casualties as possible. There are theories the Ur-Fiend of Wrath aided the Lustful Empress in shaping these beings.
    • Great beasts that possess long eel-like heads moving with an eerie fluidity despite their massive size. Their eyes stretch vertically, number up to at least twenty if not more. Their flesh is coated in a thick, viscous liquid emanating a potent scent similar to fresh semen, whilst their flesh itself is rubbery of a light pinkish color. Their massive backs and more vulnerable areas are covered in brimstone like carapace possessing a rich and captivating patina. Their blood is black and dangerous, possessing the same stench as the slime covering their bodies, causing those nearby to be affected by a rising arousal.
    • As Siege Beasts, the Ur-Fiends endowed them with a supernatural strength and durability they use to crush walls. They also vomit out a tar-like substance capable of melting down not just flesh, bone, fiber, but also metals, and stones like marble, basalt and limestone.
    • Like all demons and devils, they are weak to the Divine Arts and Hallowed Sorcery, weapons enchanted or magical in nature. Though one must focus on their sole, unprotected weak spot, an outer sexual organ resembling a bulbous sack. But be wary, as it can sprout open, releasing trunks capable of releasing their corrosive tar or even discharge abyssal spells.
  • Phallic-Serpents: Demons incapable of living on dry land.
    • Limbless serpents which smallest specimen was the size of a grizzly bear, the largest could swallow a mammoth whole, whilst their length reaches between 15-40 meters. They have hideous, flowery heads that when they unfold, reveal a pentagonal maw arrayed by “teeth” as supple and fluttering as feathers, a long and shafted tongue, alongside silky stripes of a translucent purple they use to latch onto their victims and drag them to their dooms.
    • Their sole satisfaction lies in devouring their victims alive, some survivors noted they tend to emit a sound that eerily resembled singing of a serene, husky voice. Their purpose is murky at best, mostly our ancestors encountered them in rivers, where they hunted and terrorized the local fishers.
    • They are to the Divine Arts and Hallowed Sorcery, weak to all kinds of metals. One of the weakest demons. Though they are quite clever and furtive, to make up for their general weaknesses.
  • Arachnid Devils of Desires: Handsome Devils, that are found amongst the other forces of Chaos. Though unlike the others, these possess an elven beauty and serve as spies, infiltrators, assassins.
    • In appearance, as mentioned possess bipedal bodies that are quite similar to the Fae-Touched Elves of the Night Court, with arachnoid features including pale complexion with a purplish hue and hydrous sheen; eight bold pink pupils and a dark sclera. Alongside those, their limbs are covered in smooth and furred chitinous dark skin, and possess two outer organs. Their hair is silken and black, and their jaws are bifurcated.
    • Their outer organs both possess the ability to shoot out a latex-like web they use to restrict and consume their victims. Similar to Incubuses and Succubae, they can shapeshift, but only by the consumption of their victims whose bodies they liquify and absorb into their bodies. Though a magi worth their salt can easily see through it. They themselves are also adept infernal magi.
    • They are weak to the Divine Arts and Hallowed Sorcery, most metals of magical nature can bring harm upon them.
  • The Sleek Ones: Common shock troops of the infernal hordes.
    • In appearance they are slender and tall, with elongated limbs that can carry out fluid movements. Their primary feature is their black, latex-like skin, their uniformly spherical heads mostly featureless, except for the sole orifice they possess. A round aperture from which a long trunk slithers out, its phallic end sharp as a spear despite its appearance.
    • Through their trunk, they can inject infernal poison that drives their victim insane. Many a warrior fell, compelled to touch or surrender their bodies to these devils.
    • As low rank devils, they are weak to practically everything.
  • Rape Knights: Considered the elite of the Legion of Desires, created by the Ur-Fiends of Desires and the Ur-Fiend of Domination. One of the most violent devils in existence.
    • Towering devils of at least 3 meters, always clad in a scintillating and colorful coat of hellish plates, complimented with latex garments here and there. They hide their hideous visages behind visored helmets, and an aventail protects their neck, despite resembling white semen of blackened rims. Their phalluses remain exposed, long and dangling like loincloths, until they reach near. Then they hiss and bite, act as their tertiary weapon.
    • Besides their high magical aptitude, they arm themselves with claymores, battle-axes with heads shaped often like vulvas, both of which they can hold in one hand. When they rely on spells, they are disorienting in nature, or mind-altering, forcing their victim to become more bloodthirsty, angry. They relish the resistance of their victims, opponents.
    • They are weak to the Divine Arts and Hallowed Sorcery. Weapons enchanted and made of materials higher than mithril can bring harm upon them, anything below shall merely rile and arouse them.

                                                                    News and Commentary:
And another Sunday/Week passes by. A bit more active.
Now first, some quick commentary/rambling to the worldbuilding. Regarding the Volvaeth’s uniform, not much to add. Except a little comment on those damned gloves and my damned mind. They won’t get mentioned (or appear if I am being honest) in the story, as I just came up with them this week. But now, one of the autumn stories will feature them and a sorceress POV.
A more behind the scenes one is about the Gudlaeth’s whose uniform practically changed nothing from what I outlined initially for the Tomb of Seven Stars story [I believe that was the title]. Though in the story itself, the one major Gudlaeth who will appear won’t have a headwear mentioned. Now I’ll just add, that if none are mentioned, its either a beret or a tiara or a hairband. Though the latter is excluded if not appearing in the hair’s description.
With the Gynnunghaeths, I was going for a more draconic look again, though also whilst doing research learned what Partlets were, and liked their look, so incorporated them too. Though I feel like the lapels are a bit overkill, so when their next uniform redesign happens, I might ditch it. Will see in a year or two.
Regarding the Devils and Demons of the Desirous Legions, I must begin with coming up with names is a major headache. And I defaulted a lot to phallic imagery. Though I like some of their designs, and weep that I left out some.
Arachnid Devils are a bit basic, but wanted to include some webbing into the story, alongside some devilish espionage, sabotage. The Sleek Ones themselves started out as cultists, but then I remembered the rape monsters from Parallel Paradise [a manga that is practically porn half the time, an isekai by the creator of Elfen Lied], so I made them devils with some changes. Also latex now a thing in world [instead of Vhalex, though the two are the same[, thanks to Votum Prime’s existence.
Rape Knights and the Desirous Beasts were me realizing that I can do some combining of the Chaos Forces. Though with the Desirous Beasts, I am not yet sure if it was Wrath who is the co-creator of them or similarly, they are Demons of Lust and Domination. Rape Knights came also into being to introduce some higher ranked devil that is a dark perversion of what a knight should be. And as ridiculous it may sound, liked the sound of their names.
Phallic Serpents and the Phallus Worms were just early ideas that had been sitting on the shelf for a long time. Plus liked the idea of zombies with worms attached to their nether regions.
Now for progress. Editing is almost finished for the June story, one chapter remains so either today [or it is up now in Early Access] or on Monday will be up for EA on DA and my SubscribeStar. I also slowly progress editing what I have of the Revision Story, whilst also outlining the last chapters. Two remains, one being the actual final chapter, the other an epilogue or bonus story.
I planned to have what I already wrote and edited be go up in Early Access, but as I am near the finish line, I’ll do that once I am finished. Then I’ll have three months to work on the December story, and the autumn stuff. Been thinking that the Autumn stuff may consists of stories somewhat connected to the last story of this year, which I plan to cap at five chapters. I did wanted it to be long, and a part of me still wants it to be long, but I would rather make some compromise.
I also want to do a few more Lyanrei and Astrydril stories, just to build their characters, cement them as major, or even almost main characters (despite the anthology nature of ToT).
But anyway, I rambled on long enough. Thank you for reading this mess, see you all next week, when the uploads begin for the four tales of Rinsing Filth.

Coven Vogue: What do Warriors Wear? [Excerpts]
What did warriors of our great continent wore in the ancient days, when gods walked, the wicked servants of fiends tempted and invaded? That is the question I feel is a good start to explain what the Drengriarh-Caste wears commonly.
In the ancient days, no proper uniform by today’s standards existed. Their outfit consisted of the pieces they owned. Thick, colorful and high collared kyrtills to shield against the cold climate of the High Lands, with jerkins and doublets affixed with plates. These included breastplates and backplates (for the veterans) crafted by the town or villages’ smiths, with some minor enchantments woven into them to make them lighter, increase the endurance of the wearer when they had to march for weeks or months.
Veterans received also gorgets or aventails to protect their necks against the elements and the of course enemy spears, swords, axes and so on. Their headwear included chainmail or scaled cowls that are still in use, sometimes paired with helmets with curving cheek-guards, ridged or crested tops (after the Subjugation of Nauheim), to even battle-crowns worn by those with greater talent in the High Arts.
Their leggings varied from war-skirts to tautly woven trousers often brocaded with the insignia of their lords, divine symbols or just runes spelling out their names or where they hailed from.
In the present day, Drengriarhs of the Snow-Scaled dress in button-down shirt of a deep black (when it comes to the Hritvia Host), and a royal purple (when it comes to their Svartfaeth Host). The Black Roses wear a two-toned, button-down shirt of a snow-silvern and scarlet red pairing. A shirt with an elegant, button-lined cuff at the end of the lengthy sleeves, a structured placket for a seamless, professional look, and great collars that shield their necks, caress the wearer’s cheeks or jawline.
Over it, the Snow-Scaled opted for a more refined Waistcoat of a refined and sleek cotton, whilst the Black Roses developed a long-sleeved vest with a corset like paneling at the waist and back, with standing collars that slip under the shirt’s folded down collar. A quite delectable piece, to articulate the gained elven slenderness provided by their beautification elixir.
For leggings, they still opt for either a war-skirt or taut trousers, though with minimalistic designs compared to their ancestors. Footwear includes tall boots reaching up nearly to their knees, thick and warm, with elevated soles or high heels, and the cuffs folded down with great volume.
Regarding their coats, they incorporated elements of the past with some modern fashion designs. The silhouettes are angular and form-fitting when fully closed, a bit more relaxed upon partial opening. The coats themselves are double-breasted, with a front panel lapping over another with a diagonal zipper starting from the asymmetrical hem (right side lengthened over the thighs), ending on the right side of the collar. At the waist, a broad and lightly tasseled belt cinches about, the tassels themselves made into Knut-Knots, an ancient symbol the caste adopted in the ancient days. Atop, the shoulders are padded, decorated with oblong straps upon first elevation, though the on the left side are usually hidden by the half-aventail cloak. The neck and collar itself have been made in the likeness of ancient nairenthian aventails, with an elliptical shape, high and relatively spacious around the neck, framing their faces.
When it comes to the Faufnisriarh’s coat, the history is much shorter compared to the Drengriarh-Caste’s. Most of the designs were made before we ventured beyond the firmament, when these branches were limited to the skies. Hence the more prominent draconic or avian elements not just within our Eminent Circles or Covens, but across the globe. These include the M-Shaped spread collar that has a dramatic look as it stands upright, the zipper placed in the middle so that lapels could be added at the chest line, just above the broad and tasseled waist belt, resembling the silhouettes of unfolded, outstretched dragon wings. The subtle asymmetry is also changed, with the short cloak draping over both shoulders and the back, and gradually shortening at the front, creating a curtain look. The hem is quite similar, with the back lengthened.
Votum Prime, a World Almost Taken by Desires:
Votum Prime was a world like ours. Or almost like ours. Whilst our world’s majority is taken up by the three oceans, theirs had two, adorned by four titanic continents. Instead, some of their lakes grew to be the size of seas, with thousands of rivers dotted by settlements. Or the remnants as the repopulation efforts continue onwards. Great mountains two arise from the earth, the highest located on the continent at the western hemisphere. One that according to our geologists, once was a super volcano that may have wiped out the first generation of people sown by the Gods.
Its civilizations matched ours too, with many nations sprawling on the continents. In the north, cities bore styles similar to Hoshigawa; in the west, they were likened to the styles of Franchoi; in the south, they had colorful and high structures evoking those in Nauheim and the Crescent and the Tear, whilst in the east, they relied on wooden structures more so than stone, evident from the luscious forests that remained in the days the Desirous Legions tarnished the world.
From what we learned from documents, annals, chronicles, newspapers, the Gods bestowed and taught them too, the mysteries of the High Arts. Circles and covens held quite the power, though after the disappearance of the Great Divinities, their faiths remained, but certain knowledge got lost with time for one reason or another. Knowledge in regards of otherworldly beings, like the Fiends and their infernal slaves, who got forgotten, and instead a belief of merely challenging deities took their place in ancient myths. For what reason this got lost, we have mere theories.
One such theory – that seems to be the most plausible – presents that demonic cults infiltrated their institutions, working for decades to convince, bribe and threaten politicians, nobles, statesmen to rewrite history, so that they could work unabated in the shadows. But without evidence, this is mere conjecture.
What we do know, is that their technology was quite close to where we stood just a decade before the Great War. They had cars, trucks, tanks, airboats and great ships of metallic hulls developed and produced at an industrial level, evident from massive factories that were repurposed by the infernal invaders. Though instead of relying on Viduthian Engines to power them, they harnessed lightning – or something similar in nature to it – to run them. Likewise, their weaponry included bladed weapons, spears, crossbows, wands and staves, but also rifles, pistols and rapid-guns that used some kind of enchanted projectile instead of discharging minor spells.
During the Purification Crusades, we also discovered compounds, sites where the remnants of early Voidvessels remained in subterranean chambers with horizontal doors above them. From recovered documentation, we can safely say, they were mere months before propelling their first vessel beyond the firmament. One that was fairly well equipped to survive the harsh environs of the Void Between Worlds.
                                                                News and Commentary:
  • And another week goes by. A bit less productive in terms of writing, as was busy helping with some funeral stuff, then the actual funeral was just draining enough mentally. Plus slept very little this week, so just did a minimal outlining, no editing as I wanted to.
  • But let’s start with some commentary. Mostly the changes in the looks of the Drengriarhs and the Faufnisriarhs. The first “bigger” change was the swapping of their coat collars. The whole folded down, Napoleonic inspired collar design made more sense for the Ginutvia Host in hindsight. They are the one that started out as an Air Force of the both the Snow-Scaled and the Black Roses. So, most of their uniforms incorporate “wing” elements. Whilst the ground forces are going for a more streamlined look. Was thinking of including the naval subcaste but for now, I am just focusing on the caste’s featured in the Rinsing Filth Tale.
  • Also, Snow-Scaled and Black Rose will share some design elements, though the have some distinctions beyond the color schemes. For example, zipper teeth have more fang-like look for the Snow-Scaled, more neatly aligned thorned look for the Black Roses. Snow-Scaled also incorporate scaled texturing for their decorative rims, and on the sleeves, shoulders and the inner lining.
  • Regarding Votum Prime, it is quite the large world, though decided on a slightly different approach of a world with less body of waters, though have lakes that can be considered seas and, in a way, the four continents are linked at various points. Though it is a fairly early draft of how the world looks. Still not decided on borders, though have an idea that another gangly mountain serves as a hard border between the northern and western continent, a savage strait divides the south and east.
  • In terms of looks, fashion, in relation to our own, they were in their 1940s to 1950s before the whole fall to the Desirous Legions. They may even had satellites.
  • Now, for progress. As mentioned, this was a slow week. Focused mostly on the July story, doing some worldbuilding, came up and expanded on the setting, and was doing some adjustments to the plot, to the characters. As of right now, it will nave nine “point of view” characters stretched across the three chapters, with the last possibly being the assassin. Not sure yet on the ending.
  • Setting I believe mentioned to be a resort isle, owned by the Wondrous Coven, incorporating renaissance elements combined with high fantasy flamboyance and impracticality made practical through sorcery. Worldbuilding expansion focused more on a faction of Thulyandivian communists, one of Wyruthrin’s responsible for an insurrection that ended a bit bloody. A faction that may appear in one of the short stories not-yet-planned for September or November.
  • Anyhow, I rambled on enough. Thank you for reading this, and next week, I’ll return with some lore on the looks of the Gudlaeths, Volvaeths and Gynnunghaeths, alongside an early introduction to the Desirous Legions, and some devils and demons that will feature in this month’s tale. Till then, take care and have a pleasant week folks!

Coven Vogue: The Noble-Uniform of the Skjaldmaerith Caste:
Every castes’ uniform has its own history. Some are clearer thanks to extensive recording habits of some of our ancestors, others less so. Reasons being myriad. Some definitely got lost in the flames of war, others vanished because not all historians are free of their biases. The least grim reason that pertains to the Skjaldmaerith’s is merely that they lacked a uniform for a long time. Or to be precise, their uniform consisted of the finest shirt, tunic, coat, trousers and skirt owned by the individual member.
In the early periods of Naireanth, these included finely tailored doublets of leather and wool coated in a shimmering, membranous layer to add an air of nobility, flamboyance. Around the times of the Subjugation of Nauheim did some constancy got introduced into their wardrobes. First of these were the dolmen coats popular amongst the Elk-Riding Noble Castes of Maurnia, whose famous charges halted the Empire’s progress several times. Gradually, this type of coat spread amongst the Skjaldmaeriths, with some additional elements introduced from the evolving uniform of the Drengriarhs.
In present, this includes the upper section (shoulders and collar) that were made to resemble aventails worn by ancient northern warriors to shield against the cold winds, alongside protection for the neck. Usually in an elliptical shape. Though theirs have the leather ribbed, and two “spear-stripes” project from the back and right, a layer above the half-cloak (draping over the left side). Both pieces in their “dormant” state are magnetically fixed in place, with the back evoking the ridged spine of dragons. These are less ornamentations, can be used in combat to fight multiple opponents, or overwhelm a singular.
The other prominent change, taken from the Drengriarh-Caste was the introduction of a zipper closure, with snow-silvern metallic teeth. In the case of the Snow-Scaled’s, these teeth resemble shrunk draconic fangs, thorns for the Black Roses. The coats themselves remained double-breasted, but by the time of the colonization, discarded the frogging, and made the silhouette overall more feminine instead of an androgynous one.
The sole remaining element remained the ornated sash at the waist’s level. Its rims leather, the brocades fine velvet, bearing the caste’s color in the case of the Black Roses.
Another change – less connected to the Drengriarh Caste – was the change in sleeves. For a long while, the Skjaldmaerith’s were considered a sub-caste of the Huscaeriths, but after the Black Rose grew into an Eminent Status, the two were separated. For this reason, one minor change came in the slightly puffed look of the sleeves combined with the shoulders shifting to a pagoda style after seven Skjaldmaeriths visited Hoshigawa and fought side-by-side the Third Lunar Princess in a minor uprising.
For leggings, they usually wear tight trousers ornated with a broad stripe slithering along, down to the tapered cuffs. But for ceremonies, they tend to wear long, layered skirts.
All these (short coat, leggings, boots) are all edged in snow-silvern, etched with runic-patterns.
Lastly, whilst they wore tunics and chain-shirts for a long while beneath the coats, in present day, they all opt for elegant dress shirts that lend them a noble warrior’s air. Usually with flamboyant, great collars cinched by cravat, necktie, or even shawl tie as it became popular once relations were established and mended with the southerners. The Hritvia Host’s all wear black with snow-silvern embroidery (rims, runic and arcane patterns, lines forming a fine and mystical tapestry), whilst the Black Roses are mostly snow-silvern with the collar, shoulders, sleeve cuffs, hem and edges are bled a lively red with slight pinkish undertones. Quite like the ripe cherries of the eastern holds (brought home from the east, as a gift by the Third Lunar Princess, though we found no correlation as they previously bore a royal purple shade instead).
Making History Beyond the Heavens of Thulyandiv: The Purification Crusades
There are myriad different realms out there, in the Void Between Worlds. We encountered complex ones just like our magnificent Thulyandiv, settled by other elves, dracorith, dwarves, humans created by our Divine Parents. Or even kynd made with some differences. We found simpler realms, world covered in an endless ocean of water or sand. We found ones where the north blazed, the south shivered. We found realms devoid of life, whether because our Divine Parents had no time to seed it. Or a great cataclysm wiped out all. A catastrophe that could happen to us, if we forget to love each other.
And there are worlds tainted by ancient evils. Fate likewise we could have suffered if not for our protective Divine Parents, and our ancient heroes – some of which feared not to charge into hell. Some were beyond saving, some are still recuperating, and some were cleansed, but life could never blossom there.
Each of the [so far] fourteen worlds we have encountered since striding amongst the stars, came under what we call the Purification Crusades. Great efforts to beat back the influence of Chaos from the mortal realm. Campaigns that unite ancient and bitter enemies, like the Eminent Circles, Covens and the Grand Guilds of Heleion.
First of these Purification Crusades were on Votum Prime. A world that technologically was quite close to reaching beyond the heavens. A world as varied as ours, yet were blind to the existence of the infernal realms for one reason on another. The survivors knew not why their leaders swiped this crucial information from the books of history, but it is sure was a component to the apocalypse wrought by the Desirous Legions.
From a world once populated by humans and dwarves only (as far as we know), it became a hellish paradise for sexual deviants, for those with excessive and dark desires. A world which we ourselves used for fancy voyages where one could experience joys beyond mortal means, thanks to the infernal aegis, a tainting ring of pure fiendish essence that not even the Aegis’s of our great void faring vessels could protect the minds of their crews.
Hundreds, nearly a thousand men and women of Thulyandiv turned insane, seeking sexual gratification in self-mutilation; extinguished themselves through asphyxiation, perished to cardiac arrest after ceaseless masturbation, and tried violating the war beasts in their kennels. An attempt foolish when it came to the dragons, gryphons and other larger beasts, but nonetheless they made attempts.
Thanks to decades of research of our more hallowed Brothers and Sisters, we did found a way through, and the Snow-Scaled Circle, the Black Rose Coven, the Circle of the Lunate Lotus, the Azure Legion and the Ruby Legion all descended with millions of troops to liberate the world. And they succeeded after grueling decades, with only a handful of them willing to speak of what unfolded in that world.
Some were miserable, some became celibate, and some were glad for the experience. As it prepared them for the next thirteen crusades.
                                                        News and Commentary:
  • And another week passes by. Summer is coming by, and with it a few more tales of Thulyandiv. Or something.
  • Now, just some addition, some commentary for the lore segment. As I mentioned before, made a move that somewhat eases my job of outlining, but also a bit complicated. For a long time, wanted uniform parts that serve some function beyond just being decorative elements. In the past, there was an attachable stripe of sorts that would emit a light, and that to some extent still exists (for those lazy to conjure a mage/wisp light), but also there are stuff like this spear stripe of the Skjaldmaeriths.
  • In overall, their coat also resembles the Drengriarh’s (so it was partially an introduction to their new coat), but with some changes, like the rib textured collar (that may or may not be coated in silvern layer with a film sheen). For the southern assassins, detachable “choking scarfs” will be part of their belts [inspired by the Stranglers of the Black Company, and possibly the Thugee, but this one I’m not a 100% sure on], and Varangriaths and similar berserker type castes may have gloves that support their tendency for hand-to-hand combat.
  • Also, still not sure if I continue calling Hussars, well hussars or add some nauheimian suffix to it.
  • Regarding the Purification Crusades, these will be one facet of the Records of War tales. For the time being, these will take place on Votum Prime [which will get its own piece in the coming weeks]. But will plan to expand on, as time goes on.
  • Now for progress. This week was mostly outlining and editing in short. For outlining, I began the early stuff (characters, some background, new factions and so on) for the July Story. Possibly the last three or four chapter long story (besides the two longer in August and December). In its basic theme, will be similar to next month’s, with the main setting being an island resort west of Wyruthrin, South of Maurnia, involving some fantasy communist agent or agents attempting an assassination on the Twilight-Princess (Daughter of the Grand Princess) of Wyruthrin. And will have a shifting structure, similar to the first tale of this year. With a mixture of Dusk Weaver Coven and Wondrous Coven members. Possibly. Not sure yet, still.
  • Beyond that, also started ‘designing’ their uniforms, which I will share some elements with the Black Roses and Snow-Scaled. Likewise, started working on the Lunate Lotuses, and the main setting of the December story. Most of it will take place on an underwater research station, which design and lack of corridors made me waste last night on writing it. The other half will focus on Astrydril, possibly in some perilous situation involving some amount of silky rope and sealing tape. So that I can place Lyanrei in the spotlight.
  • In terms of editing, did some adjustments for the Revision, regarding Astrydril (still not wholly sure in her looks, some elements of it). But also progressed, edited the fourth, will begin working on the fifth next week alongside the June story that still misses some parts from its ending.
  • Lastly, before bidding farewell, also decided that in September, October, and November I’ll just write short, single chapter tales. Some Bound Diaries, some lewdish Shadow Archives, and maybe for this October, will write less gruesome stories, after all I feel this month’s story got plenty dark enough. Selindrae will also get some story, to reintroduce her before the end of the year. Some bounty hunting tale maybe, short and can have a rival to tie her up.
  • Anyhow, that is enough rambling for this week. Till next Sunday, take care folks and have a pleasant week!
