From the Shadow Archives of REDACTED: The Raven Eyes of the Black Rose Coven.
Primary Function: Intelligence gathering, the elimination of individuals, organizations threatening the peace of the Triarchy and all its demesnes.
Designated Leader: Hersith REDACTED.
Echelons:
  • Nattriarh: Sub-Caste of Vordriarhs. Fresh recruits of the Hidden Sect. Their tasks include protection of the Raven Eyes assets, overseeing prisoners held on Stealth-Vessels, primary force utilized in raids of designated targets. To the public, they are the bodyguards of the Royal Family.
  • Myrkhaeth: Sub-Caste of Volvaeths. Sorceresses, witches freshly recruited into the Hidden Sect, with promising talent in the High Arts of Shadows, Death, Mind and Divination. Often act as supports for operating Daormaorns and Eyes of the Black Rose.
  • Daormaorn: Assassins, nightblades of the Hidden Sect, assistant to the Eyes of the Black Rose. Tasks include overseeing transport of seized targets, information gathering, bribery, sabotage and assassination of low and mid-level threats.
  • Eyes of the Black Rose: Seasoned assassins of the Hidden Sect, numbering REDACTED, operating all across Thulyandiv and its Void-Between-Worlds Demesnes. Tasks include information gathering, bribery, assassination, infiltration, sabotage.
From the Azure Library of Sarleme: The Azure Legion of Myelia [Excerpt]
…Legion that survived the military reforms of the post-war days. The sole legion that began its life as a Circle worshipping the Primordial Goddess of Magic and Magnificence. For this reason, their battalions, their cohorts, their regiments, their squadrons recruit the most adept in the many Schools of Magic compared to the other legions who receive what is left after graduation at the military academies.
Besides their heavy reliance of sorcerous legionaries, the Myelian Legion kit themselves in black leathery outer garments of impeccable designs mimicking the styles of the Eminent Covens and Circles. Likewise, their shirts, their ornamentations are all either the loftiest of velvets or satins or silks of sorcerous nature. Besides the First Legion of Sun’s Radiance, they are the second most effective legion our governments rely to further and protect interests in the Southern Continent, beyond the heavens of Thulyandiv, besides our magnificent lands.
From the Shadow Archives of REDACTED: The Gold Shadow
Reward for Capture: 10.000 Dragonmarks. Instant promotion for attending agents.
Rewards for Elimination: 50.000 Dragonmarks. Instant promotion and two weeks paid leave for all attending agents.
  • Real Name: Nikolaurix REDACTED/UNKNOWN (Note: How is that possible?)
  • Race: Soldrith [Golden or Sun Drachenkynd]
  • Age: Born in 1789th Year of the Second Era of Mending.
  • Characteristic Features: Strong jaw lined with spiky bone spurs; Velvety, fair complexion with warm golden undertones; Tall, curvy and robust body; Golden-Blonde hair (Natural), tends to paint it the deepest of blacks for minor disguising measure; Lifted and elongated eyes of bold fiery gold; Right hand missing, replaced with an artificial golden hand of sculpted draconic features (clawed, possibly embedded with additional spells).
  • Reminder to all agents, independent of Echelon: Do not underestimate the Golden Shadow. Numerous times, he evaded and escaped from capture; infiltrated complexes of state of the art magikraft defense mechanisms, rarely detected since his abandonment of our Brother-Circle’s hidden sect.
  • Crimes: Unsanctioned assassinations of key witnesses, informants within various criminal organizations plaguing Nauheim. On rare occasions, he sabotaged military complexes, factories of the Snow-Scaled Host. (Note: Seems to have a soft-spot for us.)
  • Known Skills: Expert in various martial arts; Talented sorcerer, master of the High Arts of Shadow and Flame and Order.

                                                            News and Commentary:
  • New week, new update. And as only one week remains, we are near the scheduled uploads of the three march stories. Two Bound Diaries and one Shadow Archives just as a reminder.
  • Also, will be short on the updates and commentary this week.
  • Raven Eyes I expanded a little bit. Though it has been redacted, their leader is Lythienne still. Though because of the changes to the East, they no longer possess Shinobiaths. Those in the Merry Times, will be retconned into members of the Circle of the Lunate Lotus, when and if mentioned in the next big story. I kept the Nattriarhs whose function is mostly the same, and for the general populace are known as the Hirdriarhs, the personal bodyguards of the Royal Family and any nobles, statesmen close to them.
  • Myrkhaeths, I added not long after I came up with the Nattriarhs, just never really mentioned. Their support role involves using divination spells to scout enemy numbers, but also tasked with brainwashing, creating unwilling informants through charms, mesmerizing, hypnosis.
  • Now the Azure Legion, or the Myelian Legion. Not much I have yet on them. What I wrote here is the most I have written for them yet. They are the Eminent Circle equivalent of the Heleionians, with their own elixir that slightly improves their looks, but primarily like the other legions’ elixirs, it enhances and augments their magical talent, their strength, vitality and endurance.
  • Nikolaurix, I won’t say much on. Just wanted to include him as a slight tease, and writing exercise. Will plan to do similar when involving a major returning character. For example, will probably do one for Selindrae, Rhommi, and next month for Yngvaun.
  • Now some progress updates. This week, began and mostly finished outlining the Records of War tale for May, finished the editing for the Unearthed Legends story next month (Early Access will be up soon). And started, finished the third chapter of the revision of my first published story. Also did some outlining for the big story, titled Vicious Cycles set in Hoshigawa, scheduled for December, end of this year.
  • Mostly some character work for the two major antagonists, and some worldbuilding done for the Lunate Lotus Circle. Focused on their uniforms, that will be a mixture of Japanese, Korean and Chinese garments. Also decided to make it a bit shorter in number of chapters. Somewhere between Passion Rides and Vying for Night’s Heart. So about six or seven chapters.
  • And that is all for this week. Next week, no updates, uploads instead as the end of the month is nigh. Till then, take care folks and have a fine week!

From the Grand Library of Ang-Hegranes: The High Artists of Thulyandiv [Excerpt from The Castes of the Draunneath Circle]
We began the Drengriarh-Caste section how they had an uncertain origin, as in the ancient times, farmers, slaves could all pick up weapons and answer the call of duty. When it comes to Volvaeths and Seidhaeths, we have the opposite case. Thanks to some of Halguvhea’s records surviving into the Second-Era of Mending, we know the first disciples of Viduthia became the originators of all those who pursue the High Arts they bestowed us with.
A small caste that started out as disciples of the Great Divinities, became teachers and for millennia formed the first of the nobles and royalty, up until the first crusade. A tumultuous era in which the first Seidhaeth and Volvaeth families became footnotes in our history books, whilst a few commoners climbed the social ladder of the times, became heroic nobles and kings and queens. Who started anew the cycle of disciples and teachers.
With the passing of time, Volvaeths and Seidhaeths as a caste lowered on the social totem pole. In present day, we do not count them amongst the noble or upper castes. They do retain their respect, but since then each nation, coven and circle founded the noble equivalent. Namely in the Snow-Scaled Circle and Black Rose Coven, the Hersiths whose caste is limited to only nine members. The most proficient wizards and witches of each Eminent Circle and Coven.
Each tasked with the administration of Branches–be they major or minor–and assigned territories, demesnes, representation of coven/circle interests in the parliament, alongside matters relating to the High Arts. Be they scholastic or militaristic.
The Volvaeth and Seidhaeth duties differ not that greatly from that of the Hersiths. They do often represent interests of their respective covens/circles too, but more in advisory roles, guiding less talented statesmen, merchants and nobles. They also often rank above Drengriarhs and Vordriarhs. With Drengriarhs, they often act as command and support in battle. When it comes to law, they called in for cases involving rogue mages, necromancers and warlocks, diabolists. Or to exterminate wild beasts and monsters who managed slipping inside our magnificent cities.
Sub-Castes:
  • Gynnughaeth: Volvaeths/Seidhaeths of the Voidfaring Hosts, often erudite in the Artifice of Voidvessels.
  • Halguaeths: Volvaeths/Seidhaeths of the Naval Hosts, who remained even after the merging of chief branches. Originate as members of a sorcerous-clergy of the Primordial Goddess of Water, Destiny and Memories.
  • Heillaeth: Volvaeths/Seidhaeths who focused their studies on the High Arts of Mending, both physical and mental.
Seidhaeth/Volvaeth Caste of the other Eminent Circles and Covens:
  • Mahotsukai: The Magi-Caste of the Hoshigawan Shogunate and the Circle of Lunate Lotus.
  • Magusiagh: The Magi-Caste of Maurnia and the Wondrous Coven of the Silvern Stag. [Note for later: Was thinking of using Varázsló as the root instead of Mágus, but decided to use it for their possible sorcerous-cavalry. You see, Varazs can mean magic, whilst the -lo can also mean horse.]
  • Hekhai: The Magi-Caste of Kesothis and the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath.
  • Wolkhviernas: The Magi-Caste of Wyruthrin and the Coven of the Dusk-Weavers.
Excerpts from the Heim-Vogue Magazine’s Article about the Militant Fashion of Eminent Circles and Covens: The Sorcerous Textiles.
Skelierna Silk: It is no exaggeration to say, it is the greatest of silks invented since Aughierna. A vogue piece for nobles, for statesmen, for warriors, for merchants. For everyone who can afford it. After all, it is both lofty and a great protection, earning it the moniker of Silken Shell.
  • Visual Traits: Its sheen and texture are both best described as the flawless amalgamation of liquid quicksilver and highest grade of natural silks. Whilst the fabric drape is fluid, accentuates the curves, the silhouette of one’s torso or legs, yet maintains its own designed structure.
  • Arcane Qualities: As with any other sorcerous fiber of Eminent-Grade, skelierna Silk offers protection on the same level as Adramantyrium or Orichalchum. One could walk through fearless a nest of goblins, wearing naught but a shirt and pants combo. It also offers a perfect temperamental control in any surroundings, be they on our beloved Thulyandiv, or on one of the Void Colonies. It is also quite fluid when it comes to molding, post-procession adjusting of features. With a simple cantrip, the size of collars can be increased or decreased; the sleeves shortened; the hem evened out. Or even add artificial wrinkles if one wishes for a more distressed look. Of course, it is also offers one of the best magical resistances one could wish for. It can withstand even the fiery breath of adult red dragons. Two times before the fabric catches on fire, and even then, it starts repairing itself in a matter of seconds. Lastly, but not least, alongside these natural enchantments, thirty others can be added even for the common variant. No doubt this fabric is spreading fast amongst our Eminent Circles and Covens.
  • Worn By: Originally worn by the Black Rose Coven, Sakhrath-Ib-Anath and the Circle of Lunate Lotus from 1679 NDE, quickly became their primary fiber of their combat shirts. Later got adopted by all the other Eminent Circles and Covens, old and newly formed.

News and Commentary:
  • And another week passes by. A pleasant week in temperature, less so in progress. Slowed down a little because of a little block regarding the April story. But more on that later.
  • First some commentary on the worldbuilding section: As evident, decided on the Volvaeths/Seidhaeths for this week. Honestly forgot I still had the Vordriarhs, but this way I could include the Hersiths. At least a facet focusing on their ‘role’ or ‘duty’.
  • Was thinking of also including the other top castes too, in a quick mention, but I leave them for later. Probably much later. In terms of the highest castes, they are bit different. Dusk Weavers, Sakhrath-Ib-Anath and the Circle of the Lunate Lotus do be led by the nation’s monarch. Not sure yet on the Worldly Courts of Eoran.
  • Regarding the distinction between Volvaeths and Seidhaeths, there is none. Its more of just a gendered difference. Volvaeths are witches (in Thulyandiv’s context/case, they are the female equivalent of wizards), sorceress, even considered priestesses, though I left out the sub-caste of the Thorned Seekers. Not sure yet if that title sticks or changes like the Sundfaraeths that became Halguvaeths, or the Ryodhaeths that became Gynnughaeths (in this case the y acts as the ‘I’ from live. They just wanted to differentiate themselves from the Ginnungriaths).
  • So, for example, in the Black Rose Coven, there are only Volvaeths, because they are a women only club coven. The Snow-Scaled will have their Seidhaeths. With the Adamant Circle of the Seven, not sure yet. Probably will try to use some folkloric word as a root. And the matriarchal Magocracies will probably have this gendered divide.
  • Now, the other castes. The Lunate Circle will have their own ‘noble’ caste of wizards and witches, but haven’t fully settled on the name yet. For now, the common caste is the Mahotsukai, which I shamefully admit I used DeepL and Translate. Also, to save some brainpower, refrained from adding ‘fantasy-suffixes’. Magusiagh was definitely Hungarian, where the root word was Mágus with the common maurnian -iagh suffix. Though was thinking of using Varázsló but that one will either be their equivalent of Hersith or a noble-caste. Mainly because staring at it one late night, I realized it contains varázs (sorcery or magic) and ló (separate means horse), so was thinking maybe, I’ll make the hussars their common troops and their stag-riding noble caste that. Will see.
  • Hekhai is like the last one, I used Heka as the root for their common-caste of sorceresses, witches. At least according to Wikipedia, it was their word for magic, though Isis was too considered a goddess of Magic. But I plan to use her name for the Sakhrath’s Hersiths. Wolkhviernas of the Dusk-Weavers I had to look up. Not a hundred percent sure, but it is based on the volkhv or volhv, who were priests of Slavic pagan religion as far as I looked into it. Though in this case, used and altered the polish name with the W.
  • Regarding Skelierna Silk, it is the Ginnuerna Satin/Silk featured in some of last years story. Though ditched the Ginnung usage, went for the Skel (Shell in old Norse), for the whole Silken Shell moniker. And for the world’s vibe of sorcerous clothing equaling a full panoply. Look wise, still going for the liquid mercurial/quicksilver or metallic look captured into the substance of silks. Partly because silk is sexy, and to further accentuate the vanity of mages, of Thulyandiv.
  • Now regarding progress. The April story is finished mostly. Still need some editing, and more importantly a segment of action and bondage. The abovementioned block kicked in here with the last two chapters (it will be three chapters long) came in, in regards of certain elements. Mostly regarding the antagonists, and me finally deciding on to sow the seed of a small drama, alongside the fate of a certain new character, who may get featured in other tales and a storyline. Without spoiling too much.
  • On a slight tangent, decided on changing my process of writing. Usually, I write down what I have in mind immediately then rewrite if I don’t feel satisfied with them. But for this, went and started with the non-erotic, non-bondage elements first. Included bits, glances, but as of now the action focusing on some ‘fortunate’ red shirts haven’t been written yet. But I did write a peek at them bound and gagged.
  • Because of my fixation on figuring these out, skipped outlining the may story this week. Though instead, outlined the third chapter of the revised Shadow Over the Academy story. It nearly led to another tangent, regarding Fiend-Tainted kynd, as that one featured a tiefling elf at the time. I went through her looks a few times. First kept the idea of just devilish looking elf, then took her eyes, given her a serpentine tongue, pronounced black veins, sangria red skin, and maybe two slim tendrils hanging from her sharp chin.
  • And probably, the Fiend-Tainted will have a less uniform ‘appearance’ (for a lack of a better word). Just to accentuate the chaotic nature of fiends. And because Astrydril also changed greatly, from a tiefling elf with one dragon horn. Recently reread the Great God Pan and read Peter Straub’s Ghost Story, and both gave me a few ideas for her, how to describe her from the POV of other characters.
  • Anyhow, enough rambling. Time to end it here. Thank you for reading these journals of mind, and till next week–where I ramble on elements of the three march stories–take care and have a pleasant week and weekend.

Excerpts from the Heim-Vogue Magazine’s Article about the Militant Fashion of Eminent Circles and Covens: The Sorcerous Fibers.
Foreword: This is a refreshener for the true culinaries of Thulyandiv’s fashion, and a short lesson for the novices. We all heard or seen about the terms: Sorcerous Fibers, Arcane-Threads, Enchanted Textiles. But what are they really? Well, the answer is quite simple. These are silks, cottons, wools, and even leather produced by the Oathbound Guilds and Grand Guilds of Thulyandiv. Though the process in the past took considerable time, involved rituals and long hours over cauldrons of questionable liquids created through alchemy, since the Magikraft Revolution, the process shortened considerably.
Now, every citizen of Thulyandiv wears a set of clothing made from these myriad sorcerous fibers.
What purpose do sorcerous fibers have in what we wear? The short and simple answer, to protect us against the elements. The long as always is complicated. Depends on the grades, the usage of these sorcerous fibers.
The every day folk of any nation wears the lowest grade, the Common Grade. Clothes with simple alterations. Like a linen or cotton piece that offers the same warmth as lambskin or wool. Or a simple leather coat imbued with a cantrip level spell allowing better communication, understanding with one’s cattle or shepherding hounds. Or with just a simple rejuvenating spell to help get through the day.
Adventurers, seekers, nobles often found wearing what you may have hear someone call Noble-Grade. A term that came to be in the ancient times, designating clothing worn by our royalty and nobles, usually worn for battle. Fabrics that durability varies, as much as the amount of enchantments that can be woven into them. To this day, nobles, seekers and adventurers predominantly kit themselves in such clothing.
Eminent-Grade is one you would expect to be rare. But quite the contrary, it is as widespread as Common-Grade. Thanks in great part that the designation was penned by the Snow-Scaled Circle to differentiate their sturdy Beornid Leather from the rest. This grade includes all the fabulous fibers created by the Eminent Circles and Covens, and the Grand Guilds. Fibers that vary not just by how sturdy, how much their heighten one’s power and senses, but also have a chimera-tendency. Like silks with the firm drape of Broadcloths, Leathers as supple and fluid as silks, in addition of other visible mutations.
Now, without further ado, let’s move on to the first and most well-known of these sorcerous fabrics:
Dragonidh Leather: The finest of elven leathers, made by the Black Rose herself long centuries ago. Though for a long time, her robe was the sole piece possessing an unfluctuating, perfectly smooth texture. Still, nobles, queens and kings chose dragonidh leather as both their ceremonial and field uniform.
  • Visual Traits: A fluid, body-hugging drape in its natural state; supple, unfluctuating smooth texture and a rich, glossy sheen that absorbs and reflects light at the same time, creates a subtle iridescence of blues, purples and silvers (thanks to the Onyx-Ooze membrane), called the Liquescent Onyx Luster.
  • Arcane Qualities: Increases the inner mana of the wearer, strengthens the arcane organs. Improves the sense of smell and sight. Easily enchantable and moldable post production. Able to withstand several strikes from the highest-grade metals, magic and acid resistant.
  • Worn by: The Black Rose Coven, the inventors; the Dusk Weaver Coven of Wyruthrin; The Nachfrar Circle of the Adamant Circle of the Seven, and some of the lesser branches of the other Eminent Circles and Covens.

Auvhierna (Sateen) Cotton: A sateen-weave cotton produced jointly by the Black Rose Coven and the Adamant Circle of the Seven, invented in the 1976th year of the Second Era of Mending.
  •  Visual Traits: A modest, structured drape that hugs the body, highlights its silhouette. Its texture smooth as the finest of alloys produced by the best smiths of Naireanth and Grauburg, whilst still possessing a distinct, silky suppleness and a metallic rich gloss. On top of a rich, vibrant palette finish.
  • Arcane Qualities: Similarly to Dragonidh Leather, it increases once magical Talent, whilst also possessing the strength of mithril or orichalcum (dependent on the Auvhierna Cotton variant). Though it is relatively fire and acid resistant, it is nowhere near close to Dragonidh Leather. Still, a great protective piece we recommend for adventurers and seekers. Easy to enchant too, and can hold at least 20 spells, usually including a temperature conditioning spell to keep one warm in frigid wastes, cool under the blistering sun whilst lost in the desert. Or with spell keeping hunger and thirst at bay for several days.
  • Worn by: Black Rose Coven and the Adamant Circle of the Seven use it primarily, alternating between their other silks, velvets. Also used by some smaller branches of the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath and the Wondrous Coven of the Silvern Stag.

News and Commentary:
  • Another week done. The third tale of Thulyandiv finished, alongside the second chapter of the revision of the Shadows Over the Academy Story.
  • Still, some expansion on this week’s worldbuilding section: First things first, it got a bit messy, because up until Saturday, I wasn’t sure what to write about. Wanted to wait with the March story notes, and whilst made some further notes and alterations regarding the timeline, and how the world will evolve after the Neo-Dawn Era, did not want to yet expand on the Grand Guilds. Nor on the other Eminent Covens/Circles.
  • So, went with the Fibers. Previously known as Arcane-Leather/Silks/andsonsoforth. Beyond this change, another I made and will be ‘exercised’ (for a lack of a better word) in the second March story, and in the April story. Namely, that Leather is one of the most commonly used outerwear fabric used in the world of Thulyandiv. My primary justification besides fetish, is that they succeeded in ‘reawakening’ certain passive traits of magical beasts. Like Dragonidh Leather is as sturdy as a dragon’s scaled hide. The magic resistance mentioned is dependent though on the dragon hide used.
  • Besides Leather, PNC is fairly common too since the discovery of Eoran. And maybe wool, cotton and silk is used to some extent for outerwear, but for the time being, they are relegated to shirts, tunics, headwear and lining.
  • The other change is that fabrics now are shared between the factions. Though there are variations. The Dragonidh Leather of the Black Roses is more lustrous, whilst the Dusk Weaver’s maybe is a matte type/variant. It is a change I made to save some brainpower, but also to strengthen the cohesion of the Draunneath Circle and the Grand Guilds’ alliance.
  • Now on progress: Working on the third march story, plan to finish it next week and will be in Early Access by Friday, hopefully. Mostly need to write a fight section, and last look at the damsel–or possible damsels–featured in the short story.
  • April story, I finished its outlining, mostly. Some minor characters still need to be made up for the last two chapters. But began working on the first chapter. Doing it in small bits as it went through a few changes on how the events play out.
  • Lastly, began outlining the end of the year story, mostly focused on the main characters. Namely Astrydril, Lyrei (whose name changes a little), Saemundur and the Yet-To-Be-Named main antagonist. Will be slow and steady with this. Focusing still a bit more on the revision story, as Astrydril is also going through some changes.
  • But anyway, thank you for reading my ramblings. See you all next week. Probably still rambling about some of these Fibers, maybe include a bit expansion on one of the castes of the Eminent Covens/Circles.

                           Weekly Updates: 01.04.2026

From the High Library of Ang-Saellirith: On the Great Nations of Thulyandiv [Exempts]

Throughout the long history of our world, many a kingdom, many an empire arose. But only a few left their mark on the world. One such nation many still remember living under in the days of the Second Era of Mending was the Last Empire of Heleion, the greatest which conquered all the continents of Thulyandiv.

An Empire which foundation got muddied with the passing of centuries. Some claim its first Emperor gazed upon the bewitching Black Rose herself and asked for hand. Her rejection left a deep mark, a festering wound which made him believe the greatest beauty of the world would only accept his offer of marriage for the world itself. A sickness which many of our scholars believe spread onto his descendants who continued making this dream a reality. Others hypothesize the conquests; the unification began simply in preparation of the next fiendish crusade. An assumption repeated still in the universities of Heleion.

What matters, that with time, this great Empire began withering from the 23rd century of the Second Era of Mending. The losses of the Seventh Legion, the death of the Empress-Regent Septimia in Eoran heralded the twilight of the Empire. First to break away were our great nation of Naireanth alongside our southern neighbors, when we formed the great Draunneath Circle, beaten out the imperial loyalist and the three legions stationed in Nauheim. Hoshigawa and the Eastern Continent of Yudao and Thieya likewise broke from their yoke, and the former even joined our alliance. Then the Sultanate of the Golden Sun formed in the south and followed our example.

For three centuries, the Heleion Empire endured, beaten down rebellions across their last holdings, until the last emperor got assassinated on the Foundation Day. According to some, a grim message from the Gods themselves, that the end was nigh. An end facilitated by the necrolytes of the Dread Lords of the Null, led by the former Regent-President, whose name had been erased and forbidden from ever written down or uttered–as you may all know.

For twenty-four years, we waged a long and bloody war, claiming the lives of billions. Though its greatest victim was the last great Empire that Thulyandiv shall ever see. From its corpse though, arose a new entity. A democratic Arghyria, a strange decision born through the decades of them seeing how the Thirteenth Republic of Franchoi fared through the day coming after the end of the Great War. Though only for a short while.

Reconstructions across Heleion involved the guilds, at the time still small. What the people of Arghyria were blind to, was how the guilds grown like tumors in the shadows, how their smiles, their good intentions of rebuilding were nothing but a front to grab power. First among these “Grand Guilds” were the arghyrian conglomerate, Aeternus Association founded by a certain Marcia of House Narses, descendant of a former trader who ousted House Dreahal during the last great civil war of Naireanth.

Though in Arghyria, they gained their current standing without a shed of blood or sweat. As a guild specialized in construction, they aided in mending cities ruined by our mighty dragon riders and artillery. And most importantly, after eight centuries, cleansed the capital of undead filth…

Now they own the ruling coalition of parties and the remaining nine legions through sponsorship and briberies. Similar to the other Grand Guilds forming their own Union built on avarice. A Union including the Dupuis Industries of Franchoi, serious rivals of our Black Roses in the cosmetic and fashion industries; the “Sacred” guild of the Hallowed Republic of Tyrnala, for whom the Premier-Exarch of the nation and the Grand Temple of the Sun is nothing more than a puppet, used to discredit our own hallowed houses of the Great Divinities…

The Shiaventiarn Commonwealth remains the sole nation in Heleion, free from the yoke of the greedy guilds. Instead of allowing nepotism to guide their paths in the grand social structure, they follow our example of merit and knowledge before blood. Though I wish they would see the need to let their covens and circles thrive, instead of putting them on the same pedestal as their avaricious guilds.

Southwards, in the Crescent, another great empire fell. The Shalaion Sultanate crumbled with the death of their last sultan. A death slow and drawn out, thanks to the myriad warlords believing themselves to be the next sultan, like the Seven Horse Lords of Anwon; the first Shah of Ehruem whose lineage ended brutally just a few centuries ago; Ralikhai which remains a nation of eight oligarchies leasing their lands for any willing to pay. Some like Orhmedia and Quadath never gained sovereignty, as our Hosts and the former Empire’s Legions anchored down and aided the rise of governments, organizations friendly to us.

Kesothis, the Tear likewise suffered through a warring period lasting nearly two centuries, before the rise of the Abydos Dynasty who reigned peacefully and with an iron hand until the rise of the current Witch-Empress, who herself was aided by the last remaining Vizier of Anathria–or as we call our Hallowed-Mother, Viduthia. Though with the fall of the tyrant pharaoh, the Witch-Empress’s granduncle, peace has returned upon the Tear, and they became a Magicratic Monarchy after joining our Draunneath Circle.

A model which the Witch-Empress copied from the Hoshigawan Shogunate where she spent a century in exile after her first, failed attempt at seizing the throne. The place where it Magicracy–or as we call it here, Seidhocracy – formed centuries ago, when the Seventh Incarnation of the Lunar Shogun joined the Lunate Circle of the Stars, authorized the formation of three militant branches and the granted them the absolute right over the arcane universities. Examples we ourselves followed once news reached the north-eastern continent of ours.

Of course, we should not forget the nation which metered out the deadly wound upon the last great empire of Heleion. A great nation born from the blood and sweat of the Archfaes children. Born free from the yoke we were still under for forty years. The United Republics of Eoran, a nation of city-states united by their worship of the Archfae and their High Courts. A nation of reigned by a President, the Coalition of Three. And of course, the Worldly Court who formed the moment they combined the model of democracy and magicracy into one. Though unlike our Eminent Circles and Coven, they also incorporated structural elements of the Legions, and worst of all, left a few guilds present, festering in some City-States. Which I need not say, brought upon them a few headaches throughout the ages.

And of course, there the great nations of our magnificent Nauheim. The Grand Principality of Wyrathrin, a great nation first formed by the Aelfriths and Dracoriths of Night and Shadows after the bestowed with the lands of the Noyachny Isthmus. A constitutional matriarchal monarchy led by the Grand Princess, head of the Eminent Coven of the Dusk Weavers, who ascended the throne during the Great War, when her mother fell in the valiant push into Schiaventiurm.

A nation of similar constitution, the Magicratic Monarchy of Maurnia. One whose queen is elected every fifth year, whilst its President must be a member of the Wondrous Coven of the Silvern Stag. A great nation who majorly contributed to the lifting of the Southern Eoranian blockade, helped the Hoshigawans push into western Yudao during the Great War, whilst before kept the legions at bay alongside the Grauburgians during the Subjugation of Nauheim.

East of them, in the low lands of Nauheim, nestles the great Magicratic Confederation of Grauburg, reigned by the Adamant Circle of the Seven, led by the Adamant-Fuhreith elected every fifth year like the Queen of Maurnia. A position of absolute power, both religious and political. A position born to replace left by the void of Nadrediorn’s sacrifice. And though they may lack in his wisdom, they proved their mettle numerous times. Despite their reluctance to fight alongside their subjugators, former President Mahala wrote extensively on the headaches the Grauburgian Host presented in the Liberation War. And praised them for their efficiency in encircling the Franchoi and Tyrnalan capitals during the late years of the Great War.

Lastly–but not least–our Seidhocratical Triarchy of Naireanth. A nation I am proud to be born into, to be raised, to be allowed to join my Eminent Circle. And to be blessed with the draconic grace of Nadrediorn and his great, winged children. I wish not to contradict my previous statements about our Sibling-Circles and Covens, but I cannot lie that our Snow-Scaled is the greatest amongst all. Our Eminent Circle endured innumerable centuries, fought through both fiendish invasions, held the invading conquerors of the greatest empire of Heleion, contributed greatly that Northern Eoran remained as our hold across the western sea, and without us, the Great War may have gone in the favor of our adversaries.

Of course, I shall also not discredit the Black Rose Coven for their contribution in the keeping of North Eoran, their war on the wicked coven who terrorized our lands for three decades during the Seventh Witch Troubles. Nor have I forgotten the sacrifices they made in the Great War alongside us and all the others. Nor their contribution in the Magikraft Revolution, in recreating the Divine Engines of Viduthia. And I commend their growth to be our equals in mere centuries, proving the greatest of the Primordial Divinities is still Viduthia–our Hallowed Mother–and Nadrediorn–our Hallowed Father…

On a mournful note, we should not forget the island nation of Schoria, once a great ally to us in the war against the pirates terrorizing our island holdings. A nation broken in two, and shall remain so, as we all vowed the Great War shall be the last fought amongst ourselves…

News and Commentary:

  • A new year begins. Starting the updates as promised with factions. Or in this case, starting big with the Nations. Nations that some are new to you readers, some got changed but still the same.
  • More importantly, what comes for Tales of Thulyandiv in 2026?
  • In January, nothing. This month is a break that will only have these updates, focusing on the factions. The Eminent Covens and Circles, and the Grand Guilds of Heleion. Two each week starting with the Black Rose Coven and the Snow-Scaled, and slowly going south, I’ll introduce the rest. Mostly their history, their fashion sense, their structure and such.
  • Then on Valentine’s Day, the first story a Shadow Archives be the first tale of Thulyandiv. Though it won’t be set on the world, instead will be on a cruise vessel in the Void-Between-Worlds. Near an apocalyptic planet taken over by the Ur-Fiend of Excessive Desires, Lust. The story itself will consist of four chapters, each focusing on a spy of four different intelligence gathering branch of the Eminent Covens/Circles and Heleion. This one is sure, and I am currently working on its outline.
  • For March, three tales will follow. Two in Bound Diaries story, with one based on a soap opera scene, one that was just a random smut idea with two experimenting students of a Franchoin Arcane Academy. The third will be another Shadow Archives story, though nothing concrete I have on this one.
  • April, will see Yngvaun return, continue his exploration in the southern continent. A loose sequel of his introductory story. It may also see Tawheeda return, and feature one of the Grand Guilds of Heleion as a major adversary alongside the Thorned Seekers. A tale of 2 or 3 chapters, set in the oligarchies of Ralikhai, as its one of the nations that is a playground for these powerful factions.
  • May shall have a War Tales or Records of War [not fully set on the name of these sub-tales], set on the world tainted by the Ur-Fiend of Excessive Desires, Lust. A set of dark erotica/smut spiced tales. Will focus on the Black Roses, as they are still the designated protagonist-faction, but will also introduce the bestiary of Lust. Demons, Devils who live to climax. Or something like that.
  • June will see the return of Rhommi, the Godkynd Thief, in two tales of Felonious Memoirs. One a space heist, where she infiltrates a Voidstation ran by the Snow-Scaled Circle [so expect some guys in distress] and the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath. The second a heist on a world not a Void Colony, but one that joined the Hegemony of Thulyandiv. A planet with a feminine, Amazonian race of its own. A race I made some preliminary outlining on 2025, though some things may change as I have new ideas for what makes them alien compared to the Thulyandivian races.
  • July will see another Shadow Archives tale, though this one I am not set on fully yet. It may become another War Tales, set during the Subjugation of Naireanth. And if it remains a Shadow Archives, it may tie into the December story. Neither am I fully settled on the second story of July. Mostly on whether it will be a Bound Diaries or a War Tales story. The idea shall remain, a short story, a short scenario of a good Samaritan discovering a bound and gagged baddie, whom they free only to end up themselves in peril.
  • August will see the revision of the first story I wrote, the first story of the arc involving the Coven of the Forsaken Sisters. Alongside the December story, I shall start working on it on the weekends. That will mostly take up August, though I may do a short story, but no promises on that one.
  • For October, I plan to do four stories. Two Bound Diaries, with one including a pirate and their pet kraken experimenting with some tentacle stuff, and one involving slimes in a Viduthian Brothel. Then there will also be a Fame and Glory set in the Second Era of Mending, involving horny goblins and a party of adventurers or Circle/Coven members. The last, the War Tale will once again feature the tainted world, and demons of Lust, that may or may not be very tubular in their appearance. And very, very squelchy. Overall, the theme I want for 2026’s October to be: The Dangers of Monster Fucking. Or something like that.
  • November, I only decided on doing three tales, three short stories. No theme or exact details, other than one being a Fame and Glory [not Selindrae, though the July Shadow Archive may turn into a Selindrae story], one being a Bound Diaries tale, and the last either a Felonious Memoirs story or a Shadow Archives.
  • And lastly, December. Like 2025, I plan to do a lengthy story, pushing forward the Cabal Storyline. A story that will be set on Hoshigawa, and will involve their Circle. Similar to Passion Rides, it may also has its main setting be a mode of transport, in this case and as of now, the plan is for a ship. Or a submarine. Likewise, the Cabal will work mostly from the shadows, where Astrydril and two of the Raven Eyes assigned to the East, will attempt stopping their plans. It will also see the return of Saemundur, and Lyaldis maybe.
  • Overall, from February to June, these are all set and concrete plans. The rest is up for change, as I plan to look at the board at the end of each month and mull whether it is what I want to do or not.
  • Now before the end, some commentary on the worldbuilding section.
  • Naireanth itself changed from Monarchy, Theocratical Monarchy to Seidhocratic Triarchy, to signify power being shared amongst House Dreahal, the Snow-Scaled Circle and the Black Roses. Seidhocracy/Magicracy itself is a model valuing the Arcane Sciences, signifies in the world whether a coven or circle have a say in political matters.
  • Though it may change and become a branch-model.
  • Maurnia and Wyruthrin are both technically new nations, but also just rebranded ones. Maurnia, I no longer recall what was the name of the nation, but it got featured twice, or maybe three times across each iteration. It a matriarchal monarchy, kinda constitutional on the surface, in truth the Wondrous Coven of the Silvern Stag has absolute power. Wyruthrin, as mentioned before I think, was Lhooril. But instead became the “Slavic” nation with a flavor of matriarchy, a slight nod to drows. Maurnia itself is more urallic in its architecture, names and such.
  • Another small change was the Lesser Courts of Eoran become the Worldly Courts, and as mentioned above will have a similar structure to the Legions, more so than the reworked structure of Eminent Covens and Circles.
  • On Hoshigawa, I’ll expand as the year goes on. For the time being, I’ll just say that the terms originated from there, instead of from Nauheim. Despite the Snow-Scaled being the oldest of the Eminent Circles and Covens. But more on that next week.
  • Kadath became Quadath, though the bigger change is that they also will have their own Eminent Circle, though it shall form later. Orhmedia too will see some changes, mostly it shall become more Indian [Names, Social Structures, Architecture mostly], and will be an ally of Kesothis. It may also have its own Eminent Coven or Circle. Kesothis got the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath, and will become the Naireanth of the South. So, it will have its own weaker Snow-Scaled Circle. Baaneath I am not sure yet, what role it shall play, other than an adversary to Kesothis. Anwon and Ralikhai are prime candidates for War Tales, Shadow Archives and Tomb Raiding stories. Ehruem, remains a Theocracy, and may have its temples become equals to Grand Guilds and Eminent Covens/Circles in power and influence.
  • And that is all. Thank you for reading my ramblings, see you all next week!

Weekly Updates and Worldbuilding Notes:

08.19.2025

Worldbuilding:

§  Hleriodh II: Second largest celestial body in the system. Once a thriving planet occupied by civilized, technologically advanced folk known from the various archives retrieved from the bottom of the sea. At least from the few retrieved from the towering structures lingering in the abyss, home to the barbarous, primeval merfolk who dwell amongst the titans of the all-enveloping ocean. The planet itself is rich in minerals, including the alloys used in reinforcing the hulls of the great Voidvessels of the Heleion Dominion. Currently under the jurisdiction of the Black Rose Coven, The Order of the Adamant Scale of the Grauburgians and the Lunar Host of the Hoshigawans.
§  Echidna-Class Voidvessels: The largest of the Dominion’s Void Armadas. Named after the mythological beast Echidna, who carried thousands of manifold beasts in her womb in the dawn of time. Similarly, the vessel itself produced by an Arghyrian manufacturer serves as a freighting, mass-troop transport vessel utilized in planetary blockades. One vessel can carry at least four cohorts in its two sections. A gargantuan outer section of a three kilometers long torus with seemingly hollow points at the cardinal directions. At each gap, four hangars stretch wide from one side to another, each connected by curving bridges at the four corners. And the inner section, a gargantuan sphere of windows set deep in the embrasures on each of its hundred levels. Likewise, four grander bridges connect the central structure to the broken torus.
―   The Sphere-Structure itself houses the secondary bridge/navigation room, in its heart the Super-Golem Engine that powers the whole Voidvessel, including its high magnitude Aegis capable of even reflecting the Federation’s missile based attacks, the myriad turrets lining the top and bottom of both sections, the communications and life support system.
―   The Torus-Structure houses the freight, the troops carried across the Chartered Paths, capable of transporting more than a million troops, along the Vulture-Class smaller vessels, the Flottirions, and even some medium-sized vessels including the Chiroptera-Class transport vessels often used by covert branches, organizations alongside the main hosts.
§  Heiythryn: Third and Last months of the summer, consisting of 34 days [Equivalent of August IRL]. During the last week, celebrations often held across Heleion and its domains, showing gratitude for the Gods and Archfey for the pleasant summers.
§  Faegiriath-Coat: Elven coat produced by the Black Rose Coven since the 2500s of the Neo-Dawn Era, post Federation war. The issued coat of both the Vordriarhs and Drengriarhs by order of the Hersith’s Council. Both versions feature the double-breasted front, the diagonal zipper straightening at the ceasing line of the corsetesque waist, trails straight up to the collars and neckline giving space for the slit pockets concealed by slim, button-lined panels, their badges, nametags and other decorations and four, closely placed and buckled waist belts. Their sleeves too are matching, flared both and ending in cuffs folded back with five-sides, hem too for both asymmetrical, right side lengthened with a vent slit on. The difference comes at the shoulders, with Vordriarhs’ version sporting the structured, padded shoulders, and the elevated triangular neckline with a Bulwark-Type collar. The Drengriarhs’ version sports the flared pagoda-style shoulder of the Hoshigawans, whilst the primary collar arising from the same elevated neckline form a voluminous, open M-Shape with elongated points resting on the chest line. Whilst also possessing an inner layer, mimicking the Corset-Vest of olden days, including the funnel-shaped collar slid under their shirt’s crisp collars.
§  Fjolkiriath Long Coat: The issued elven long-coat produced by the Black Rose Coven itself, issued for the Volvaeths, who share it with the Ryodhaeths and Sundfaraeths of the other two primary branches. A double-breasted coat, its diagonal zipper following the same trail and hem style as the Faegiriath, though only three waist belt as the waist section and their cuffs folded out into a six-sided circle. On the top, they too sport padded, simple but elegant shoulders, and elevated elliptical necklines that intrude a bit onto the chest line. The primary matches the broad elliptical shape, rises high and thanks to its arcane-woven nature, many of the Volvaeths prefer extending it to their cheek’s level. The secondary itself, sprouts from the basin of the neckline, a simple, notched shawl lapel framing the concealed zipper closure.
§  Berseriath-Coats: Worn and issued for the Varangriaths of the Svartvia Host. For this reason, the hem, the double-breasted front matches the rest, whilst its sleeves end in folded back cuffs of octagonal circle. Though unlike the common ranks, a broad girdle cinches their waist, its edges lined with metallic, pointed rivets, and meld seamless in the front center. Their elevated neckline circular, from which the primary arises, fashioned acutely after Skjalkrage Shawls often worn by the olden berserkers of the North during their raids and campaigns to the south. A stiffened, broad cowl in this case, with a smooth, wrapped look, and narrow space for the cinnamon brown collars of their shirts. The secondary, mimics the aventails, spreading onto their shoulders and chest, whilst it crawls onto the primary, ceases below the silver accented ridges.
§  Dragonidh Leather: A patented, arcane-woven fabric created and used by the Black Roses since the late 1800s of the Second Era of Mending, constantly improved upon. A supple, buttery smooth leather, which absorbs light, creates a subtle sheen, gloss that often seems matte. And no creases, folds formed upon movement, dentations.
§  Ginnuerna Satin: Used since the last war with the Federation came to an end. Patented, though through discovery, the other covens too learned that one ingredient comes from the gargantuan serpents soaring the void at the far edges of the chartered systems. Though in what way they achieve distilling the mercurial blood, only the Black Roses know. The fabric itself is often described as the greatest silk or satin capturing the smoothness of liquidized mercury, whilst possessing a sheen, luxurious rich gloss situated between fine enameled alloys and liquidized alloys whilst still distinctively silk or satin. And like their previous satins, silks and their Dragonidh Leather, no creases, no folds form as the wearer moves around, or in a scuffle gets hit. Even pulling back the sleeves seems more like the fabric retracts itself without amassing volume.
§  Lartsim Mining Complex: A yet-to-be finished mining complex on Hleriodh-II, under the ownership of House Dreahal who employed the Black Rose Coven to guard it, protect the workers from the elements and the terrors lurking beneath the chaotic waves. Which they failed to do properly leading to a minor incident some theorize came to be was intended by one of the Hersiths.

Updates:

§  So got a bit late in doing an update, but took too long deciding what to include. In the end decided to include a few of the new uniform designs, though also wanted to include the “fashion style” of the northern elves. But it is something I’m still working on, so another time.
§  The second story will focus on the above-mentioned incident, a minor worker uprising. A story meant to show off the less positive side of the Black Rose Coven, like a few others did before. And it is a proto War Tales. Not necessarily the first, but this is the scheme I shall follow for the coming ones.
§  So, what are War Tales? Stories that explore the various conflicts in the settings, be they small or big like this worker’s uprising in the Lartsim Mining Complex. Stories that focus on smaller characters in battles, or sometimes between battles to include a bit of Red Shirt in Distress scenes. For example, this month’s War Tales will feature three Drengriarhs, one in the early stages of the conflict placed in a part of the complex where provisions are kept, another in the brigs, and a third in a post siege in a sweep where they make sure they round up leftover dissidents. Whilst the other two focus on an ambush, the other on the first stage of taking back the bastion of the complex, featuring two Varangriaths.
§  Going forward into the foreseeable future of Autumn, there will at max three stories, depending on how soon I finish the main story. For September, one will definitely be a Bound Diaries story, the other a War Tales. Though I am still deciding on what the conflict will be. Thinking of one that is a sort of Tie-In to the December story, or another focusing on the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath and the Ehruem Theocracy (a bit more on them in the next update).
§  On this same note, I will also plan to add further categories, including a tomb raiding, Indiana Jones like, dungeon delving category that the last august story is a proto-story of. An espionage focused one, with honey trapping leading to GIDs and DIDs, whilst the Bound Diaries will expand a bit more, to include kinky stuff beyond the covens. Also plan a noir, detective, investigative category focusing on the crime world. Though the War Tales will also involve Heleion’s war on the underworld. And probably a category focusing on monster hunting, with weirder trussed up scenarios, but also feature the Seekers and Adventurers of Heleion across the ages, and include Selindrae who has been on the benches more than she should have.
§  Lastly, for September. As mentioned already, the War Tales story is still in its figuring out phase, whilst the Bound Diaries story will focus on the Black Roses for this time before departing. It will be a story focusing on the patented recipes of Dragonidh Leather and Ginnuerna Satin, focusing on a red shirt in distress in the middle of coven (corporate) espionage.

News and Worldbuilding Stuff:

Worldbuilding regarding The Way Down; Crammed Rose and The Taste of Her lips:
  • Seasons or the Nairenthian Calendar:
    • Veitrundur, the third month of autumn, consisting of 39 days. The season when the first freezing winds of the winter grace the northern lands.  No real world month equivalent.
    • Einylundur, the third month of spring, consisting of 40 days.In Hoshigawa, it is the season when the cherry trees shift their foliage from pinkish to crimson, heralding the summer to the isles. No real world month equivalent.
    • Noieplith, the first month of spring, consisting of 37 days. The season when the cherry trees blossom in the east, whilst in the Crown of the World, The Heartlands and the Crescent and the Tear of Heleion, this month is considered the month of new life. Celebrations are held across the continents, where couples retreat to various brothels to seed new life, to replenish the losses incurred in the winters.
  • The Crown of the World: The Northern Regions of Heleion, named after the Eptirrion Mountains encircling the Nairenthian Basin, forming a vague crown shape from above.
  • Ratatoskr-Class Voidvessel: Smaller freight-oriented Voidvessels used by the smaller subsidiaries of the Covens, Courts and Orders ruling Heleion. A long, tapering vessel with a tail structure at the back, part engine, part the secondary command center/bridge built over the aft section.
  • Dusk Weaver Corps: Small Division of the Black Rose Order, under the command of the renowned Dark Dracorith Hersith Katinkah commanding the Black Rose's hosts in the north-east of Eoran including the capital Ang-Thaughtur, and the ominous Umbrillien Hinterlands. Corps consists primarily of dark and umbral elves, be they untainted or dracoriths. Though originally started out as peacekeepers in the Noyachny Region during the tumultuous days of the Great War, Katinkah took over, expanded their range over to Eoran where they help the Svartvia Host (Ground Forces) hunting the separatists, demonic cultists and other threats.
  • Godkin: The rarest race on Heleion. Kin who got graced by the presence of a divine being. Known Godkin in Heleion includes Rhommi the infamous thief wanted all across Heleion and even the Void Colonies. The other well known Godkin to walk the lands of Heleion is Freianna, Daughter of Magnificence and the Black Rose.
Progress:
So this was something I wanted to do for months now, but I got lazy, got late with edits so by the time I could bring news on progress and such, it was time for uploads. Though in all honesty, most of the times, it was me being lazy and internet shy if that makes sense. But I digress.

This section will be a bit slower, in fear of spoiling stuff. So the plans, stories for August as of now.

The first story will involve Tawheeda, a new character who is a callback to two who I wanted to feature more, but shit happened to not ramble on. It will be a two-chapter story, which First Draft is finished, and even done some edits where I wasn't happy.

The second story is under works. It is a Void Between Worlds story, a small one set on a colony of the Nairenthians and Grauburgians, inspired by Kamino.
And the third, I haven't yet decided. But it will be a Bound Diaries, that much is sure. Maybe it will be a chronicles, not sure yet.

And a bit more into the far future, beyond this year. My last two weekends were spent with editing, and outlining. With this year, I kinda plan to reach halfway point of the Cabal Storyline, but for variety's sake, from next year, I may make alter things a bit. Originally, planned to continue, similarly in a two multi chaptered stories, but started working on some initial storylines.

One that is less likely I make a story for is a grander storyline for years to come, involving another war between the Federation and Heleion. Though there may be bits and pieces manifesting in short stories. Will see how it goes, but I am don't plan to start it off mostly because I want to have a firmer picture on the Federation.

The second storyline is somewhat connected to Tawheeda's story next month. One that is set after the conclusion of the Cabal Storyline (as of now), involving the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath (far-southern Black Roses technically, but more on them soonTM) and their rebirth as part of a theocracy that starts expanding, contending with a technically neighboring new empire.

And a third storyline, involving Selindrae who I also want to feature a bit more. A storyline involving her working with the Black Roses, helping in hunting down criminals.

Anyhow, I rambled on enough. the three stories for July are in Early Access till the 29th of July. Then they will be up on Deviantart, Pixiv and Scribblehub.
