[DL] Ballet Heels for Blender
This is the first version of my original ballet heel boots for Blender 3D. Comes in both NPR version for Goo Engine toon shading and PBR version for Blender realistic shading.
I'm very happy with how the shape turned out, this might be one of the best ballet heels model on the internet.
The model is intended to be used with a subdivison modifier, to make it high-poly. The outside topology is quite clean.
The colors can be freely changed for each part of the boots in the shader editor. A few coloring examples are included. The Goo Engine version uses my FTSC node group and comes with a lineart and compositor setup .
Rigging tips:
- The pair of boots are weight painted for an Auto-Rig Pro rig, so you can attach them to a character.
- You need to apply a new rest pose with the feet bend down. A rig with just the
legs is included, so you can see how it should look like.
- Applying the rest pose can be tricky. You may need to apply the armature modifier on the character body, apply the rest pose on the rig, then re-add the armature modifier to the character.
- If your character objects have shapekeys, you can use the
SKkeeper addon to keep the shapekeys when applying the armature modifier.
Future plans
- Knee-High and Thigh-High variations.
- Adding a rig to slightly open the boots at the top + adjusting shoelace bow.
- Improved mesh and UVs.
- Flat lacing.
- Nicer textured seams.
- Adding creases.
