[~Happy New Years! 2025~]


It's officially 2025! The past week or so has been pretty busy, not just for myself with the holidays.. But also for many on the team as well. I forgot to toss a post out before the holiday madness.. >.< But with everyone busy later into December, despite my wishes to get some new content out, it just wasn't looking like it'd happen.

We've got a few on our team who unfortunately are sick or getting over being sick, along with our cg artist finishing up a recent move during the holiday season and just in general, everyone has been busy with other personal gatherings for the holidays, etc.

I'd like to make it known that with the holiday season behind us, we should begin to see the upcoming content come along here shortly into January! I'm reaching out to everyone on the team to begin the new year with our tasks to sort out for the each of us, so by the time I put out our development report for this month and very first for the year! We'll ideally have some updates on how quickly we'll see the next build/version release! <3

We're still very much aware of our shortcomings as we finished up 2024, as we're trying to improve on that and get us into a consistent release cycle for content. To make up for that, we'll be providing some bonus content to those who have supported us during 2024 as a whole, even if it was just for a single month or many months. We'll slowly roll this bonus content out to everyone with a specialized post, but do keep in mind, our main priority with development is still brand new content continuing the Pembroke Academy story firstly.

Bonus content being released and delivered should be split up into quarterly releases we're thinking. So, the first one will be sometime during February-March 2025! 

We've got a long way to make it up to many following along with the project in the past year and so, but we're trying to be smart about how much content we can tackle within a month and ensure we don't get too ahead of ourselves in the process. 

There's been a lot going on behind the scenes, mainly to prepare for the next 3-4 months ahead of time. In Spring, I'll be moving across country with my parents as I finish up the last semester of college, but we've never made a move this big before and so there's a lot of preparation going on before then. My plan all along has been, ensuring we have enough content ready and set aside before Spring. This is so that on the night before the moving day, we can release new content for that given month (April) and basically I'll be taking the time during April "off" from development to focus on getting everything setup and adjusted to the new state and area in general.

Ideally, we're going to have 2 content build/version releases ready set aside, besides the typical monthly content expected for January, February and March. These 2 builds/versions will be used for April (During the moving process, while I'm not able to actively develop during the month.) And ideally, the other would be released right away into May. I suspect, by May I'd be fully setup in the new area and able to keep development moving along that month.

The short of what I'm saying above with this, is that we're hoping for no disruptions to our schedule for releasing content each month into 2025, even with this move taking place in Spring. (But a lot is being done since October/November behind the scenes to help ensure we can make this plan work out, hence some awkwardness at the end of 2024. >.<

Hopefully we'll be able to see this plan come to fruition with January into February firstly with our typical expected releases. <3

This is the bare minimum costs that covers our team's active development on a monthly basis! This is roughly what we had coming in from Patreon each month to cover the costs for our artists, programmer, editor, writing, etc. Much of it goes right into the art! If we can reach this goal, it'd mean we can easily without any worry continue our active development on the game project that's been on-going for 4 years strong, with 2 years expected that remains in development before it's finished.

At this goal being reached, each month... We could seriously begin our voice acting campaign! We'd do a casting call with real voice actors using castingcall.club and encourage everyone to sign up, try out for the roles and begin the process of adding voice over work into MA from the start of the game slowly catching up to where the current build/releases are at that time forward. ^^
