We start this post by announcing that the Cloud Backup process has been completed.
It was approximately 1 TB of project files to send to the cloud and, as a result, it took a little longer than we expected, as we ended up having some complications with the cloud service and we had to understand the problem and correct it to effectively complete the backup of the project files.

Despite the setbacks, we now finally have the files saved in the cloud so that, if something unexpected happens, we can simply retrieve them from the backup and continue developing the game without any problems.

That said, we're working on new content right now.
As soon as we have something concrete to show, we'll publish it here.
While we work on the new content, we decided to bring a sale for those of you who want to enjoy the Steam version and take advantage of its exclusive features.

Welcome to our official SubscribeStar page

It's with great pleasure that we announce the debut of our official SubscribeStar page!

Starting today, everything we post on Patreon will also be posted here on our SubscribeStar page.

It'll work as a backup, so if there's a problem with our Patreon, game development will keep active.

Even though we currently have a Patreon, we decided to come to SubscribeStar for the following reasons:

• Bringing in new players by getting SubscribeStar users to try out our game.
• Offer an extra option for those who want to support the development of the project.
• And most importantly: Have a plan B in case there is a problem with Patreon.

The content of the game and the posts will be the same both on Patreon and here on SubscribeStar, and all content will comply with both platforms "Terms of Service".

At first, we only brought the most important posts here, as it would be unfeasible to bring more than 100 posts, but from now on all new posts will be published here too.

The only difference is in relation to Download Keys.
We depend on integration with Itch to automatically distribute keys and SubscribeStar does not have this integration, so we decided to leave keys out of rewards.
We could do this manually, but we don't believe this is the best way to do this, as it would take some time for us to manually deliver the keys to supporters, and we want everyone who supports us to be able to access the keys immediately, so they can enjoy it as soon as possible.
So if you're interested in the keys, it'll have to be done through Patreon.

A bonus is that SubscribeStar promotes adult content creators, so this can help us with divulgation and bring new players to our game.

Living in a Brothel - Patch Notes

We're very proud to announce that version 0.3.1 is here!
Check below which features were added to the game in each version:

Version 0.3.1:

New Content:

New Features:

• Hide the Dialog Box: Now the keyboard H key, the middle mouse button and the gamepad Y button hide the dialog box, allowing the player to see the image or animation that is being displayed on the screen without anything getting in the way.
• Gamepad Support: You can now use gamepads to play Living in a Brothel.
  They depend on the Steam API to work properly. Therefore, gamepads only works in the Steam version.
  We recommend using the "Official Layout for Living In A Brothel - Gamepad Configuration" in Steam Controller Settings, but you are free to remap them as you prefer. Despite this, ingame references to gamepad buttons are based on this configuration.
• Steam Deck Support: You can now play Living in a Brothel natively on your Steam Deck.
  We adapted the game to meet Valve's technical requirements, so you should now be able to play on your Steam Deck without any issues.
• Walkthrough Button: A Walkthrough button will be displayed on the title screen if the game detects that the player has the walkthrough downloaded in the game/walkthrough folder.

Improvements:

• Help Screen: The help screen has been updated to show gamepad commands, if it's connected.
• Gamepad Glyphs Support: Tutorials and in-game spots that show buttons will now show the gamepad buttons if one is connected or the player is playing on the Steam Deck.

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed an important bug where, when pressing the arrow keys on a screen where there is a Secret Card, it was revealed.
• Fixed a bug where, if the player changed the value of the "Text Speed" option, non-loopable animations would have an incorrect duration.
• Fixed a bug where, in some cases during a replay, the "Save Screen" was shown incorrectly when opening the Game Menu. The "History Screen" is now shown instead.
• Fixed a bug where the tooltip of the item for sale in the Item Shop did not remain displayed in the Android version.

Version 0.3.0:

• New Game Mode: Photo Studio
• Steam Achievements: It's now possible to unlock achievements on Steam throughout the gameplay. (Steam Version Only)
• Ingame Achievements: An ingame achievements system has been implemented. It has the same achievements as Steam, but it's also accessible to users who purchased the game on other platforms.
• Achievements Menu: A menu showing all the achievements you've already completed and those still to be completed has been implemented.
• Results Screen: A screen showing progress in each aspect of the game will be displayed at the game's end.
• Item Shop: Now, when interacting with the Item Shop shelf, the items for sale will be displayed and can be purchased simply by clicking on them.
• Implemented Emoji Support: It's now possible to display emojis as text.
• Loading Progress Bar: Upon starting the game, a loading bar is displayed showing the game's startup progress. (PC Version Only)

Improvements:

• Notification System - New Icons: The old notification system icons have been replaced with new icons that better represent the displayed notifications.
• History Screen: It now displays icons, text colors, and emojis, being more faithful to what is displayed in the dialogs.
• Completion Bars: Now all screens have a completion bar showing how much progress you've made in relation to the total present in the game.
• Jackpot Count: Now the amount of times you hit a Jackpot in the Slot Machine Minigame is counted for each difficulty.
• The overall game size has been reduced: The game images have been compressed, so the game size has been significantly reduced, with a minimal loss of quality.
  This brings numerous advantages, such as faster file loading, which ensures a small performance boost, in addition to taking up less space on the user's device, which makes an important difference on mobiles.

Tutorials:

• A new Tutorial about the Photo Studio Mode has been implemented.
• The Inventory Tutorial content has been merged with the Exploration Mode Tutorial.
• The Gallery and Replay Tutorials have been updated to include the new features.

Fixes:

• Fixed a bug where when the last inventory item was selected and an item with an index lower than this was removed, the game would crash.
• Fixed a bug where the "Taking Care of Health" scene was unlocked in the Replay section before being completed during gameplay.
• Fixed the placement of the input player name box in the Android version.
  Before it was hidden behind the virtual keyboard, now it appears at the top of the screen.
• Fixed the dialog box placement in some cases where the text prevented the text contained in the images displayed in the tutorials from being properly seen.

Proofreading:

• A considerable portion of the English text displayed during Episode 1 has been revised and rewritten to better conform to the grammar rules of the English Language.
  This has also been rewritten to sound more natural to native English speakers.
