I woke up the other morning and was struck by an idea, so, I made it. A little. Nothing fancy, but something cute. Any guesses as to who it is? You'll know for sure when the 'present' gets opened and then the other presents beneath the tree get opened as well. I will say that doing this gave me an idea for a big project with her, so that's been added to 'The List', which should make a couple of Discord followers happy, as they're big fans of hers.

Almost in a decent enough renderable state. Few more tweaks and it should be. Probably won't be ready though til after the New Year. I still have the New Year thing to release, this 'Do Not Open!' thing later and the Christmas post itself, plus I'm going to get started on the next major sub only project Monday, most likely. Busy busy busy.

Hope you enjoy this small thing. It's also my first 60fps. Yeah, the fire particle effect goes a little nuts. Have to sort that kind of thing out. "Fire? What fire? I didn't see any....oh, you mean don't look at her the whole time....riiiiiight."

Do I like it? Not really. It never came out as well as I wanted, though it isn't as bad as I was seeing either. Those who have seen it already (people at my house, certain friends, etc.) like it just fine though. It just strikes me as something I would have made a year or so ago; not something now. All the same I hope you all like it well enough when it's released.

The week has mostly been rendering Christmas 2023 with some side things worked on. Still finding other projects to get fixed to a releasable state. Ángel was released. The Dynasty Warriors one is another to get ready soon. Some I might just let die, since they never went very far anyways. Anyone recall that Detroit: Become Human store window thing? Yeah, that would be one of them.

Sancus Program 2, slated for the coming year, is most likely going to be the first project I get going fully. I've wanted to do that one for a while now, and I'm sure it's a wanted thing as well. It's Miranda Lawson after all. For warning though: it will be a Tier 1($3)+ Subscriber only release, as will several projects coming up.

Next Weekly will most likely be short as well, unless I decide to spoil surprises and show previews on projects. I do miss how I was posting things like with Shiala or Ivy. Surprises are nice and fun, but eh. Info is better, right?

Rendering is still going, but it's not coming out as smooth an animation as I'd hoped. As I was saying to the Discord people, it's not horrid but it's not all that great. So much going on in SFM caused the playback to lag pretty hard, making it difficult to see how the changes to keyframes were or were not affecting it. Essentially, I guess I've overloaded SFM. I should have split it into sections, which would have been the smarter way really. Always learning though. If it was a sub only animation I'd be annoyed, but it's a Holiday Freebie. To be honest I've focused too much on it already, but as I said it's not horrid, it's just not, like, Hostile Takeover quality. The pic below is a frame from Ayane's section, hence the focus on her.

Always practicing things. I probably have a dozen little practice animations. Helps to figure out what things won't work. Also had a few really good ideas for projects this week. Too many ideas overall. It's making it hard to stick to one, but I'm gonna start keeping those unspoken until they start to actually become something. Looking back, I see I have several projects that I've advertised, and they've stalled. Sorry about that. I intend to pick them back up. Some will be worked on a lot more, others finished enough to release as is. Still not sure what the next Sub only release will be.

It's a short practice video based on a gif I came across Tuesday. I often use such things as practice, both for getting better with my skills and model testing. Decided this was going well enough to release as a tiny thing. Tifa Lockhart applies to a bartender position at a new club, The Black Menagerie. Little does she know who owns the club and her interview isn't what she expects. I stress again, it's a short video. Nothing like the longer musically set ones. In fact, this one has no music, just some sounds.

I've debating adding more to it; more length, scenes, etc. but having it so far along and ahead of schedule means it's given me more time to practice, test and start other projects. It's not short anyways, though with so many characters if you're watching it for a specific girl, you'll not see her focused for very long. I have one more character to animate, then lights, then render.

Along with The Interview, I made another small video to be released December 1st. Anyone who's been following me for a bit knows I use Gwen Tennyson (an adult version) in Holiday themed projects. My very first release was Christmas 2021 with her. She's dodged Halloween this year, and you all know it's the girls from Dead or Alive in this year's Christmas. How does Gwen feel about this fortunate turn of events? Christmas Vacation will be the answer. It too is a short thing. More akin to Nani's dance video for length and nudity. I made it in like 9 hours total, start to finish. It's cute though and I liked it. Be watching for it here and Twitter/X.
