So, December is not going as expected so far.

First of all, there is a delay with the commissioned art for Yumi's next CG. I am not yet worried about it though, but since I was planning on receiving it in early December, it changes plans a little.

Second of all, Patreon offered a new payout method, direct bank transfer, to which I agreed before realizing it was managed by Payoneer. If you recall the last time I spoke about that company, they had pulled out of operating in my corner of the country to avoid submitting to language/translation laws, and as such cannot actually provide the service as initially promised, at least to me, considering my location.

Which means I am left without updates on a money transfer I ordered, which was over 100$, and I am afraid I lost that money to the ether. I am quite concerned about contacting Patreon support because I'd rather nobody examine my creator profile too closely, lest I be subjected to their wanton censorship. So I guess I'll chalk this up to an unfortunate turn of events and accept the loss of money.

Rest assured, however. I changed back to another payout method and things are back to normal on that end. Just too bad I can't just choose the direct deposit method, which is free of additional charges. Eh.

Third of all (thirst of all?), writing is going well with the next episode of Don't Flex On Me Yumi-Chan!!!

The part where you spend a short day as an intern with Yumi deals with much lower stakes than Rin's, and is a much less stressful time than Junko's. Which is nice, I think, that you get three radically different choices, each representing the associated girl quite well. I can't wait to show you.

Fourth of all (fourth wall?), I never should've given you guys the option of 'both choices' in the latest poll for The Bodyguard Girl Deluxe, haha. I knew most of you would choose that option, given the opportunity. It's the safest bet, you get EVERYTHING without inconveniences, after all.

So be it. I think I came up with an interesting CG scene idea that is somewhat sweet but could turn quite deadly if Vivian so chooses. Now, all I need to do is create a commission reference document and send it to artist Turbun. If I prioritize my stuff right, I should have time to do that between Christmas and New Year's.

I'm planning on hosting for BOTH X-Mas and NYE, so that is a lot of prep work. But, thanks to my new job, this year will be the first time in four years where I'll actually have time off during the holidays, outside of the statutory days, of course. So this is nice.

As usual, I ran my mouth earlier this month about how I would deliver a build of my slice-of-life game Don't Flex On Me Yumi-Chan!!! super early and everything. Turns out this was a lie, wasn't it?

Thing is, I relied a little too much on the fact that I had a lot of time on my hands to work on it, so I started tweaking and adding and adding...

...so now, the next CG scene has 26 different animations attached to it (don't get too excited, we're talking a lot of alternate faces / hands positions, that kind of stuff). What that means is that I can get a little more specific into how the scene evolves, with the visuals to back it up. I think it'll make for a very interesting result.

I also took the liberty to re-write the beginning of this new episode. I thought the way the episode began (right after the title card) was a bit abrupt, and could use a better, richer context. So I wrote one. Rin, Junko and the protagonist have a real good talk about the future and their ambitions, and it evolves into the girls hatching a plan to help him get his thoughts together, which makes what follows much more logical and fluid. I think you'll agree it was needed once you've played it.

And that's it, for now. I have the next two days off from work, and I fully plan on spending them working on that dang build. You'll get it soon enough.

The snow that fell last week is still with us, and I had to put up two Christmas trees at work for decoration, which had me singing festive music out loud, so I guess I already found my Holiday cheer. A bit early for the year, but I figure that if it makes me happy, it can't be a bad thing. Right?
