From the Shadow Archives of REDACTED: Yngvaun Langelaitan
Reward for Capture: 100.000 Suncoins.
- Race: Half-Naurdian (From his Father’s Side); Half-Umbral Elf (From his mother’s side, a former agent of the Raven Eyes as far as we know).
- Age: Born in the Year 172 of the Neo-Dawn Era. Day and Month redacted.
- Characteristic Features: Handsome; ivory complexion, smooth and unblemished; Hair thick and flowing straight, usually keeps it short, at about shoulder-length, beard unkempt most of the time (comes with his occupation), both dark; Deep-set eyes with long, small frames and purple in color; thick northern eyebrows with mild angles; ears sharply contoured, but not the proper length of elven ears.
- Usually sports a black leather jacket of [of a high sorcerous grade, do not underestimate him] with dry texture, a modest velvety sheen. Its lapels broad, notched, shoulders padded and with added straps of pleated chromatic coatings around their trims, within these frames, strengthening runes. The other constant wear of his is his wide-brimmed hat he inherited from his father. Same fabric, texture, color and sheen.
- His usually weapon of choice is a whip passed from father to son [according to REDACTED].
- Known Skills: Well, trained in martial arts [her mother was a great headache for our predecessors during the Great War]; Adept Sorcerer in the High Arts of Shadow and Earth. Possibly of Mind too. Be wary.
- Known Associations: Aided our agent REDACTED in the Tomb of Seven Stars in northern Ralikhai a few years ago, but do not trust him yet. From what we gathered, he is part of a secret society of tomb raiders, who supposedly worship The First Seneschal. From our sources from the North, we know the Snow-Scaled and Black Roses are not too fond of them snatching away old artifacts and taking them Gods know where.
- Crimes: Breaking into the imperial library of the Witch-Empress. Left three of her Imperial Constables trussed up, alongside the custodian on post that night. Fled towards the south, towards the Maelstrom. Possibly Aperhis Isle.
On the Maelstrom from Famed Adventurer, Explorer and Ardent Worshipper of Halguvhea, Gaetir Langelaitan:
A tear, a fissure in our reality. A tenebrous storm tainting land and the seas beneath itself; mutating flora and fauna into twisted beings. Flowers, trees, fungi all turn into carnivorous beings, whose hunger is beyond flesh and bone. Early explorers returned as puppets without strings, vegetables that not even the menders of minds could heal. Likewise, goblins, bull-men brought back from the wilds of the Lost Continent shown no sign of presence, no spell could detect a soul within their mortal vessels that lost all their color, gained a furtive tint of darkness.
There are also tales of the great leviathans of those seas turning into horrid stalkers, sea monks of pitch blackness appearing in the dark distance, watching, feeding on dreams. Per the few fables of those who were brave enough to approach the black seas of the Maelstrom. [Note to self: Don’t forget the merkynd of the Black Seas, the Deep Ones, though I have scarce information on tehm]
An eerie atmosphere has been also reported by a few explorers. They tell of a silence unnatural, measured but by whom, no one could tell. Not even the length of this invisible muting wall, that sometimes-silenced people after two steps, other times remained perfectly audible after several more.
Can’t wait to explore these lands once we depart from the ports of southern Kesothis.
News and Commentary:
- And another week passes by. Another fairly progressive week. Mostly focused on finishing editing of the May story (soon will be up in Early Access), writing the next revision story and some outlining of it, and started writing the June story.
- For commentary this week will be shorter than usual. Just add that made some changes to Yngvaun. Made him less independent, and made another independent organization mostly for the Unearthed Legends tales. Next one probably won’t feature him.
- Regarding Tawheeda, was thinking of writing up a sheet for her too, but decided against it. She had some changes in her appearance, mentioned in a previous weekly updates regarding the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath and their Elixir of Magnificence. I’ll just add, that whilst the story won’t mention it, but the June story will, she is an Orhmedian-Djinnui Hybrid (Orhmedian is a sub-group of Sraudornians, Thulyandiv’s India with some Arabic influences, like Kesothisians are antique Egypt with some modern Arabic influences).
- One last thing mentioned here and will be in the story too, is that the previous story got retconned to take place in Ralikhai instead of Kesothis. Partially because want to rethink Kesothis’s geography a little bit. Likewise, the first Halloween/Spooktober/Kinktober story may also get retconned. Not sure yet about whether their coven has a presence in Ehruem or not.
- Progress-Wise, the fifth chapter is finished for the revision story. The first chapter with a focus POV of the antagonists. But also continued expanding Astrydril and Lyanrei appearance, though in minor ways as both are still just students. Began outlining the next one, and hopefully will finish it on Monday or by Tuesday.
- It also made me rethink the end of the year story. Mostly to shorten it to the length of Passion Ride. The Revision will still end up as a long one, and whilst I am reaching the end of it, and finish it by May hopefully, one really long story per year feels enough. So, in terms of chapter numbers, the Christmas story will be short, five chapters. Maybe six, depending on how I progress with it once I start actually writing it.
- May story, still doing some last-minute edits. Will be up (either today or Monday/tomorrow). Just as a forewarning, it is another story which I am experimenting with, trying something new, but also going back to the slightly darker roots of the first iteration. Namely, it will be a grimdark smut story, with the bondage/damsel-in-distress elements being… well grim, weird, and spiced with a little horror. There will be bad ends for characters. And weird monsters.
- And to counter that, the June story, a Felonious Memoirs story will be a bit more lighthearted. Will have some humor, and plenty of bondage, some feet stuff. And decided to make it three chapters, after I started expanding the bondage scenes. It will have some GIDs too, but because of the main POV preferring shapeshifting into women, there are more damsels this time around.
- And before concluding, did some minor adjustments to the July plans. Originally mentioned a good Samaritan getting trussed up type scenario/tale. That got shafted for the time being. Maybe for September, or maybe October. Instead, the plan is now a War Tale that is one chapter long, an in-world educative story for soldiers on garrison duty, involving tricks of infiltrators. The other, a bit longer, two or three chapters long, involving an assassin getting hired by revolutionaries, to take out the niece of the Grand Princess of Wyruthrin in their Royal Island Resort. Both stories will feature changelings, and the first appearance of the Dusk Weaver Coven and the Wondrous Stag Coven. [May also merge these into one, as the June story also features the Snow-Scaled Circle and the Sakhrath-Ib-Anath as the fortunate Red Shirts]
