With the weekend of The Capture Games premiere over and some mental recovery from launch week happening, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for giving it a try!

I was very nervous when it came to this. Not only was I hoping that all of the different scripts I've crammed together would actually work, but I was hoping this would be something people would try since it's so different.

I personally love roguelike games since their renascence that I would say started with Rogue Legacy many years ago so it was a fun opportunity to stretch my brain and mix things up. That being said, I don't know how many people like the format when compared to something more chill (and less CPU intensive for us with older machines) like the Damsels and the Body games. Especially something like this that doesn't have a lot of story like my other games do.

It makes me glad (and relieved) that people are enjoying The Capture Games and that a higher-than-average number of people have decided to check it out. For the most part, people have been positive and provided some great feedback.

To me, this initial success shows that I still have freedom to try and develop new and exciting games. It's no secret that the Damsels games are less successful than the Body games, and since those are the only two types of games I've made, I was worried that (if I wanted to be able to pay my bills) I would have to stick to the Body games and I wouldn't be able to try new things without an unsustainable financial sacrifice.

Not only that, but I can see that there is an interest in something that The Capture Games has to offer, be it a fresh 3D perspective, roguelike gameplay loops, action based gameplay (as opposed to turn based combat), and/or something else. Makes me feel good and confident about the future. So to the long time supporters and the new fans: Thank you! <3

As for what's next? Well, stay tuned in the coming weeks for more. I want to take things slow for a week or so, but I will still be posting the deep strategy in the Total Progress Report exclusive to the Sadomasochist tier and higher subs either Wednesday or Thursday! I would like to finish the development of Lustfall up once and for all, and I some ideas about how to go about that...
