I promise monthly releases of 10k words or more of new content, with releases typically weekly or bi-monthly (depending on development progress) and can often be significantly larger than that (I aim for at least 5k words of new content a week). Current State Of Development
Hi everyone ^_^
I've been quieter than intended, so wanted to just give a quick update on the state of the project.
Thank you for your patience, after what I mentioned in the previous update I took a little time off before returning to work. Since then I've been working hard on the big 0.6.0 update, however, progress has been slower than anticipated.
The big task I've been slowly working through is the new avatar image system, and a corresponding new character creation interface to go along with it. When I first started on it I didn't realize it was going to be as complex as it has turned out to be. Despite that, I'm basically finished with the current state of it, left with only parts of the character creator and some finishing touches (though new parts will be regularly added over time).
As things currently stand, I'm hoping to have an Alpha build out for all paid build tier supporters ($5+) some time this weekend. Before the 0.6.0 build is truly ready though I still need to finish off the Hunger/Thirst system and a couple of other smaller pieces. If things go as intended, it should be about another week until I'm ready with the actual 0.6.0 build is ready, at which point we'll return to a more regular build cycle.
Outside of that, I also need to catch up with a bit of admin, so keep an eye out for supporter polls, and potentially other supporter posts.
Hopefully that all makes sense and gives you a better idea of the current state of development. Thank you again for your continued patience and support, I really couldn't do it without you all ^_^
