Star Knightess Aura Release 1.4.0-beta
Today is the official 1.4.0-beta release! To start with the usual quick number summary, we have 25k new words, 12 h-scenes (counting repeat versions though), 5 new H-CGs, 3 new epilogue scenes (with one of them being a new Victory Ending B Epilogue End), and a new quest: True Love's Business.
In contrast to other post 1.0 major updates, this one has been pretty homed-in on the expansion of its main corruption content - Hermann's events. So I will just split the report up into two categories: His quest and everything else.
1 True Love's Business
Hermann now has his own standing variable; increase it by adventuring and while you are married to Hermann, he will claim Aura's fruits of effort for himself (+retroactively). Reach enough standing to unlock his final quest: True Love's Business.
While most of the quest progression is passive as Hermann wil further smooch off Aura's success, you can accelerate the progression by means of finding investors for his venture - nobles and rich characters you have helped in other story arcs.
Most of the scenes are focused on group scenes, so the CG complexity is pretty high. Complete the quest to increase the power of True Love's Blessing (among other consequences) and if it's higher than any other character's modifier, you will unlock new Hermann epilogue scenes.
This should give a decent overview and information on how to unlock the quest without containing too many spoilers.
While this is the last major Hermann content addition, he may reappear as a guest in some other scenes in the future or maybe some more minor epilogue variations.
2 Other Additions
Besides Hermann's quest we do have a couple of further minor additions, which I will give an overview on in this section. For everything, you can of course always scour the changelog yourself.
- The Toll Bridge Bandits are back! If they survived their encounter with Aura the bridge, you cleared the Reverse Summoning Ritual, and you did a bunch of jobs are the brothel, you will get them as new customers.
- You can now see the Riverflow Artists's Aura artwork!
- A bunch of new minor variations on early lewd scenes if they are done later. While fully eliminating all discrepancies for a fully corrupted Aura isn't possible, they should at least adjust better to a more corrupt Aura.
- New interaction flavor texts in Trademond & surroundings.
For the full 1.4.0 release, there won't be any more content additions. Just the missing CGs + some technical quality of life features that we will be porting over from Liora.

Star Knightess Aura Release 1.4.0-prerelease-14
Here's the last prerelease before the 1.4.0-beta release. I am still contemplating whether I want a scene in case the player has both done Roland and Hermann, but with the CGs still in the queue I think it's too much after all for this update.
What we do have is new ending scenes! First of all, since we have quite a few different Victory Ending B epilogues by now, I created separate ending room entries for them so that you can watch them more easily.
Following the Hermann quest we now have 2 new events in the ending room if you trigger the Victory Ending B (will now be auto-triggered in case you have completed True Love's Business). First, the confrontation scene between John and Hermann has a new outcome where John gets arrested.
And then, if you got Rosemond as an investor, Hermann will make a move for Nadia by graciously giving her the opportunity of practicing her future marriage through a mock marriage, what a nice Hermann is!
Finally, the Hermann route gets its own epilogue end event. I have decided to add some differentiation between these different Victory B Endings, so the Roland variant will now say "Happy Slave End" while this one is the "Happy Wife End".
Next week I have the week off apparantly (I initially miscounted the weeks so I forgot that when I first planned the month x_X) and Trihan as well has a week off, so outside of bugfixes and maybe CG intergation in case Emubi finishes one, there won't be a lot of further changes for the beta release.

Star Knightess Aura Release 1.4.0-prerelease-13
And then we also have the SKA side of this week's progress! We have a new guests at the brothel: If Aura decided to deal with the bandits at the bridge by lewding her way through, they will now appear after the reverse summoning ritual as guests at the brothel (courtesy to our assistant writer Absurdity). The scene focuses on double penetration, but is of course not yet illustrated.
Then, we also have a new scene in the corruption ending: If you have finished Hermann's quest, there will now be a new epilogue scene in the corruption ending in which Georgia will become Richard's dedicated buff slut through the marriage ritual.

Star Knightess Aura Release 1.4.0-prerelease-11
This week completes the main story content of the new Hermann content. We had already reached the climax of his quest last update; this one focuses on aftermath. On the minor side, we have some NPC updates in Trademond and you can now enter True Love's Blessing where you can interact with the Priestess. Originally, I wanted to make her an Exhibitionism Trainer, but I decided against it since I didn't really want to push players into this quest to unlock that trainer. Instead she just became an alternate Lewd Knowledge trainer in case you missed the existing one or simply don't want to work in the brothel.
Storywise, we then have a couple new scenes. The main one being the Charlotte Vow Renewal event. Simply trigger the Charlotte Date at Hermann's after finishing his quest to unlock it. The event will also give Charlotte the True Love's Blessing powerup making her more useful again in combat.
Should you finish Hermann's quest before the got all investors, fret not, he will continue to search for investors to expand his business and you can still trigger all investor scenes. This week, I added minor variations for the texts to respect the case that the quest has already been finished.
Finally, the Hermann's base event also got a new version. It's not super long since it's more meant to show the changes on upgrading True Love's Blessing after the main founding event.
Next SKA update we can then finally move on to the ending updates of the Hermann content. Although for now we will be jumping back to Liora next week to close out the Side Infection Zones.
