Star Knightess Aura Release 1.4.0-prerelease-2

After a long, long time, the saga of Hermann finally continues!! Paulian fans too will have something big to look forward to today (and in the upcoming weeks for the CG production of today's events.)

This week, I have begun work on Hermann's new exclusive quest "True Love's Business". The quest is a bit unlike others in that it's not really something where you do a lot and more a quest that happens passively in the background as Aura progresses to the game and achieves new feats --- which Hermann piggy-backs on to brag about it's all thanks to him. Hermann doing Hermann things. Let's talk about the quest and my future plans for it in detail:

What is it about?

(Sorry flow chart picture may be a bit small :'D) Note that these not just the current plans I detailed out this week, they may change as I go forward!

Hermann has a new business idea: To produce imitations of the ring that worked so well on Aura, True Love's Blessing and to challenge the Church's monopoly on marriages. In order to do so, Hermann must gather (1) influence, (2) investors, (3) a workshop to make those rings and (4) obtain a reverse engineered blueprint to create those imitations.

(4) will be a vice action for Aura in the future and will be done last. (3) will finally connect Hermann's ongoing rivalry with Hermann with a concrete plot line, as Hermann will aim to take over Edwin's workshop. Every time you have chosen to slander Edwin will no longer be just a narrative decision but will have a minor impact on this point as Hermann will need less influence to achieve his goals.

For this week, I have mostly focused my work on the points (1) and (2). To model Hermann's influence, our ambitious merchant is getting his own "Standing" variable, similar to what Edwin already has (basically a Prestige variable, for those who are more familiar with Liora).

It starts with just 5, but depending on choices such as how much Aura supported Hermann at the election, it will grow quite fast. In particularly, whenever Aura achieves feats such as liberating Draknor Fortress or Mountainreach, or becoming an Expert Adventurer, Hermann will as mentioned above, brag about it and passively increase his Standing.

This way the further progression of this quest is gated a bit further behind progressing the game and you don't run out of content too soon.

The bragging will happen retroactively and for past scenes such as the Councillor Election scene, the game will assume that you supported Hermann in your current run so you won't have lost out on any Standing increases.

To trigger the new quest you will have to:

Max out True Love's Blessing
Have sex with Hermann at least twice
Increase Hermann's Standing to at least 20 (He will tell you about this condition once the above two are fulfilled)
Trigger a sex with Hermann after fulfilling the above conditions

To complete the quest, you will need to achieve a total of 30 Standing for Hermann, which is currently not possible. However, once you reach 20 Standing and trigger the quest, Hermann will begin looking for new investors!

In particular, influential, rich people who have issues in matters of love. The three future investors here are: Rosemond, Claude and Viktor. This will enable us to have some extra scenes with the girls Aura sold out in their post-corruption state.

Rosemond and Viktor will be for the next update, this week I focused on Claude. Help him train Paulina and Hermann (btw I keep accidentally writing Edgar x_X) will the opportunity of the good will Aura gained with this to further his business plans! The next time you talk to Hermann, he will propose a business meeting with Claude that will lead to a double sex date with him and Paulina, and Hermann and Aura.

Paulina and both Aura have a bimbofication and stupification theme so that x2 ends with a lot of namecalling for them being dumb/ditzy/stupid or doing so themselves x_X

Anyways, that's the new scene. I wrote a bit more in detail about it instead of just going "watch it yourself" since the trigger conditions require a bit of work and I wanted to embed this week's work into the larger quest context.

This also concludes this month's work on SKA. I was a bit slowed down sadly by some issues regarding Liora and Steam but more on that on the next prerelease post for Liora. As for SKA, the H-CG for this scene will enter production once the artist CGs are done and then in May we will continue right where we stopped and create the double sex date scenes for Charlotte+Victor and Rosemond+Nadia.

Star Knightess Aura Release 1.4.0-prerelease-1

This week's SKA content is mostly me grinding away on adding minor lewd scene variations when doing them with a more corrupted Aura (or simply suppressing her embarrassed reactions). I started off primarily focusing on books and skills initially but also covered a couple other scenes like the Trademond guards and the Alchemist. The conditions for the dialogue changes mostly vary and are all fairly minor, most of them trigger if you had Lewd Streaming 2 triggered on Earth.

Note that a hyper corrupted Aura just before reaching the corruption content will still be out of sync and I don't think it's possible to be 100% consistent, but these changes should contribute to lessening the amount of dissonance.

Aside from game development, I also spent the beginning of the week on the business development side. I prepared some materials for a meeting with an accountant and it seems we had a pretty good meeting. Currently the plan is to incooperate before August 1st of the year, once that is done I can hopefully also offer Trihan full-time employment. I discussed the possibility of hiring Trihan directly in my company instead of going over an employer of record and it seems they have experience with that so it should be possible, currently aiming for a start around September. Let's hope that part goes well.

That's it for the prerelease of SKA. Since the variations are mostly a bunch of minor changes, it's probably better to just check the changelog for the concrete changes. I also tried to document the involved variables for triggering the variations.

Star Knightess Aura version 1.3.3
