Nightly_ Build Patchnotes: FeralIsland_v0.15.184
FeralIsland_v0.15.184 was added to the nightly_builds folder. You can download it instantly with the FERAL Tester reward tier: Link

Finished integrating the dynamic pen* system to FeralIsland. You can check it out in the gallery. This system works in VR & normal mode.

Special credits to raliv for creating this awesome shader!


Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug in which the camera was the wrong scale(normal mode) in the gallery. 
- Fixed a bug in which deselected toys would still have a color in the UI. 
- Fixed a bug in which the mating Icons were not visible. 
- Fixed a bug in which running, mounting and rolling to the side was not working correctly(normal mode).

Known Issues:
Normal mode should work fine now. There are still issues with the player size and the UI in the gallery when in VR mode. There are also some control and mating related issues in VR mode that will be fixed next.

Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug in which the fonts where not visible if the FPS counter was toggled in the gallery. 
- Fixed a bug in which the toys had the wrong size in the gallery. 
- Fixed a bug in which the camera was set to forward rendering. 
- Fixed a bug which prevented PoV-mode from working in the gallery. 
- Fixed a bug which had the wrong clipping plane, position and FoV(Field of view) when switched to PoV-mode. 
- Fixed a bug in which the reticle was visible in normal mode. 
- Fixed a bug in which the toys would not move correctly, when auto-thrust was active. 
- Fixed a bug in which the gallery camera was showing a black screen.

Known Issues:
- There are still some minor bugs in the gallery and sandboxes. For example UI snapping to the hip and hand. There are also some bugs with the mating and UI in the island.

Features:
- Most of the gallery features got restored.

Changes:
- Modified and centered the UIs in multiple scenes of the game to better fit to the new VR-rig.

Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug in which missing shaders in the selection menu caused the island not loading properly. 
- Fixed a bug in which the reticle sphere was not visible at the tip of the pointer. 
- Fixed a bug in which the VR-hands where not animated. 
- Fixed a bug in which the toys where now initiated with the new VR-rig. 
- Fixed a bug in which the toys would not be snapped to the new VR-rig. 
- Fixed a bug in which the toys would not rotated when the hand was moved. 
- Fixed a bug in which hip snap was not working with the new VR-rig. 
- Fixed a bug in which the guide mode was not working with the new VR-rig. 
- Fixed a bug in which the toys where way to big when selected with the new VR-rig.

Known Issues:
- The new VR rig is currently not fully implemented in the sandboxes and the gallery. This will be fixed in the next couple of updates. There are also some QoL features missing in the island like for example the UI.

Features:
- Added the new VR-Rig to FeralIsland. This rig uses a new Input System and should work with all current VR-headsets. If you have issues with the new system, please let me know! 
- The UI is now automatically snapped to the left controller when the island selection menu is loaded.

Changes:
- The control label in the island selection menu was removed. It will be added at a later point. 
- Changed the lighting in the island selection menu and enabled post processing for the new VR-rig. 
- Improved the performance in which the turntable script is calculated.

Bugfixes:
- Fixed the math of the turntable camera calculation to prevent overflow issues.

Known Issues:
- The new VR rig is currently not fully implemented in the sandboxes and the gallery. This will be fixed in the next couple of updates. There are also some QoL features missing in the island like for example the UI.

[Stable Build] FeralIsland_v0.15.164a.STABLE

Patchnotes:

Features:
  • Added a breeding device model to the island core game. 
  • Added breeding functionality to the Felkin NPCs next to breeding device.
  • Added a new shortcut (ctrl + R) to the island in the core game that allows you to respawn as a random Felkin. Also added a new UI tooltip for this button shortcut.
  • Added collision detection to the breeding device in the island and worked on the collision logic/rig for future stuff. 
  • Added a progression menu to the "Breeding Device" scenario in the gallery. The Felkin now mounts the device if you click the progression arrows. 
  • Added a PoV camera anchor to the "Breeding Device" scenario. You can now switch into the PoV of the mounting Felkin.
  • Added a baked NavMesh to the island which will allow creatures to better navigate through the island and avoid obstacles. The obstacle avoiding creature behavior is not active, though.
  • The breeding device in the core game is now mountable. Selected female Felkin can dry hump the device too. This might get reworked in the future, but for now this is a feature for the ladies! The overall mounting feature will be more polished in the next build iterations. 
  • Added a tool-tip for how to mount and how to excite your Felkin. 
  • Added a UI framework to support curved UIs in VR. This does not add the curved UI yet.
  • Added an teasing Felkin to the core game next to the breeding device, to test the mount detection colliders on skinned mesh renderers.
  • Added two new animations to the core game: mount, unmount. This is for a smoother mounting animation interpolation. The mounting animation from the recent versions is still in use and now looped.
  • Added more NPC functionality & logic to detect where and which Creature was mounted.


Changes:
  • Cleaned the creature spawning code of the core game and removed, improved and fixed a lot of old functions. 
  • Overhauled creature spawning back-end parts that will allow better control over creature spawning in the future.
  • In the "Breeding Device" scenario in the gallery you can now no longer let the Felkin mount the breeding device by pressing shift. However, this still works in the "slobbery things" dev-sandbox. 
  • Rebuild and cleaned parts of the island prefabs.
  • Updated the Spine Animator, Groundfitter and the LookAt Animator. 
  • Slightly tweaked the Spine Animator behavior to improve the creature turning rotation. -
  • The animation interpolation between walking to running is now not using an exit time offset.
  • Reiterated the translucent UI shaders in the gallery and FeralIsland selection menu.
  • Modified the bone mask of the Felkin rig to better interpolate the animated thigh bones, when the Felkin mounts the breeding device.
  • Improved the overall mounting interaction with the breeding device. For example you can now only mount while stationary or walking slow. Also interrupting the mounting will always lead to the unmount state.
  • Added slightly more gloss and detail to the fur in the Core game to make it appear more like the fur in the character selection menu. 
  • Re-enabled the LOD System on the island. This greatly increases the FPS. This was a mistake by me some builds ago, sorry for that!

Bugfixes:
  • Fixed a bug which resulted into the animator not responding after respawning. 
  • Fixed a bug which caused materials loaded incorrectly after respawning.
  • Fixed an instance which led to a material and texture related error when the "Breeding Device" scenario was selected.
  • Fixed an Instantiating error that was related to prefab parenting. 
  • Fixed a bug in which the Felkin rig would break if you would press ctrl while running.
  • Fixed an issue that appeared in 155, that prevented female Felkin from being displayed in the FeralIsland selection menu.
  • Fixed a bug which displaced the manes in the selection menu.
  • Fixed an instance where breeding animation was interrupted or could interrupt unintentionally. 
  • Fixed an instance where breeding animation was in the wrong order and looped incorrectly. 
  • Fixed a bug where the breeding device would sync its animation when the Felkin was mounted.
  • Fixed a bug in which the mounted Felkin would walk away while being mounted. 
  • Fixed a bug which allowed the player to break the Character prefab when A,S,D was pressed while mounting.
  • Fixed a bug in which the single inviting Felkin was not mountable. 
  • Fixed a bug in which the breeding device was not mountable. 
  • Fixed a bug in which the breeding device was out of synch.
