Hey! Not dead! Mostly got sucked into working on those Big Shot in-betweens, of which there are many. Turns out it's much easier to work on things than it is to post about working on them. Just have a couple more frames to finish up for the next Big Shot update (a cluster of three shots) and once that's colored and uploaded there should be more wriggle room in the scheduling for progressing our Quick Shot.

Sorry, no updates worthy of posting this week. Awkward WIP stage for both tiers. Next week's update posts will be image based on both the QS and BS fronts!

Changes to the tiers and the new animation-only approach is going live through March 1st. The first suggestion box for the Quick Shot animations will go live then also. Again, to summarise:

Tiers will be roughly the same function as they are now, with regards to who can suggest, vote and view. $1 is going up to $2. The new content cycles will be based on animation alone, and the two types of project are going to be referred to as Big Shots and Quick Shots. Big Shot projects will be the stuff that takes a long time to do. Quick Shots are much smaller in scope and entirely led by subscriber suggestions. The suggestion box going live on March 1st is going to be a Quick Shot suggestion box. Catchup work will continue while the suggestion box and polls are running and then work on Backstage Blueberry will re-commence, as the current Big Shot project.

New animation is coming out within the few days. Yes, really! Temper ye expectations because it's nothing too crazy but I'm looking forward to finally sharing this one after a lot of hush.

After that's released I'm going to focus on non-animation work until I'm caught up with my static art backlog... which isn't that long, all things considered. Without a nearly-finished animation demanding attention it should be pretty quick catch-up process.

Then, when the static art backlog is no longer an issue, I'll be picking up one of my anticipated on-hold projects again; the way-too-long-in-hiatus Backstage Blueberry. The groundwork for that one is pretty well laid out so I'll be jumping right into inbetweening. I kept my last project pretty close to the chest because of leak fears, but that won't be a concern with Backstage Blueberry. Expect more frequent updates for it when work on the project resumes!
