The End

... of the Weekly Art!

This announcement has been a long time coming, but it should be for the best. Weekly Art is being retired and the tiers are being restructured in March, which makes the February Weekly Art suggestion box (in a week from now) and poll the last of their kind! It's been great to deliver weekly stuff based on submitted suggestions and scenarios and visit a whole slew of characters I might not have otherwise, but some specific problems are cropping up. Namely, that animation time competes with weekly art time. Catch-up on the Weekly Art has often meant animation progress takes a hit, and when animation is pressing, the Weekly Art sometimes gets delayed. There have also been times where I haven't been able to experiment or push myself because of the risk of overshooting, leading to safe poses and rendering that I know I can deliver on time.

But do not fear! Weekly Art is being replaced with a new tier of animation. From March onwards, there will be two animation projects ongoing at any given time!

Major

These are the big chunky projects you're used to seeing, your Cream Filled Catgirls and such. Since these are essentially the flagship of my profile and presence, they will not usually be subject to suggestion boxes unless it strikes my fancy. Polls are more likely! I realise that taking full control of this tier may be disappointing to folks who wanted to see their fantasies realised, but the multi-month production time means that the work has to represent something I want to work on for that amount of time... which should also be something a lot of people want to see, with any luck!

Minor

The minor animation project is the upcoming replacement for the Weekly Art. Fully subject to suggestion boxes and polls, these will be very streamlined, single-action animation shots or loops that place an emphasis on quick delivery and instant gratification without sacrificing on the animation itself. Think like the Glu/Saber Stuffing or the Gumi Firehose Inflation. These won't come out on a set schedule but will be released 'when they're finished', which should be in far less time than the narrative-heavy full features and allow for a healthy enough cycle of suggestions, polls and releases.

In addition, come March pricing tiers will be adjusted in the following ways.

  • $1 will be raised to $2, so that processing fees account for less of each payment taken. If you're still able to support me at this tier, then rest assured that your money will go further than it did before!
  • $4 tier shall retain voting rights, mainly for the Minor Project
  • $8 tier shall be able to suggest Minor Projects, as well as see and interact with any posts relating to the Major Projects. While executive control may be diminished, I will still be very much listening and reading all comments!

You've all been very kind to me in 2023, so while a bit of a rough transition, I hope that this will allow me to deliver more of what you're really looking for in 2024. Goodbye Weekly Art, and hello Moar Animation.
