Introduction
Hey there, I'm Orane Pluto. I'm working solo on Domitum Fortress, a sandbox roleplaying game about BDSM in a post-apocalyptic world.
I have many plans for Domitum Fortress that I'm eager to bring to life, even if currently I'm limited to only working on the game during my free time. Your support will enable me to gradually prioritize its development over my day job as a freelancer programmer. Devlog #22 - Current Focus
Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well.
In case you missed:

Version 0.1.2 is now publicly available! Among other improvements, it adds visuals for all slave sex scenes in the game, including two animations. You can read more in the Public Build section [here].
- Version 0.1.3 is available in early access for backers. It introduces Bandit Camps, penis and breast size variety, and the implementation of sound effects and music. You can read more in the Backer Build section [here].

During the development of version 0.1.3, I spent a lot of time improving my 3D animation skills, which is something I had no experience before this game. I'm learning to enjoy it and I’m really happy with how the new doggystyle animation turned out! It’s made me excited to animate all the other sex scenes in the game and create variations. In the next update, I plan to add animations to more scenes.
That said, the main focus right now is on implementing character states and traits, which will likely be one of the most fundamental features of the game. I’m also developing a new Character Item System, since the old system was holding back the addition of new items and item types.
I hope you enjoy this update and are excited for what's coming next. Thank you sincerely for your support and for being a part of this project.

A Small Delay for the Next Update
Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing well.
Unfortunately, this month hasn’t been the best for working on the game. Between the credit card situation (more info here) affecting my motivation and a particularly demanding month at my day job, I’ll need a bit more time to deliver the update I’d like to share.
That said, this version is shaping up to be really great, and I’d hate for a bad month to compromise its release. I truly hope your patience will be worth it, and I can assure you that I’m already working hard to make up for lost time and bring you the best update possible in September.

On the Current Situation of Adult Games and Censorship
Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well.
I want to take a moment to talk about something that's becoming a serious concern for the future of adult-only media on the internet.
What's Happening
To put it simply: payment processors like Visa and Mastercard are pressuring game platforms to impose puritanical rules on adult content and erotic art, even when that content is fully legal. This ongoing push to sanitize the internet is affecting not just adult games, but almost all forms of media.
So far, pressure from credit card companies on game platforms has:
- Pushed Steam to introduce a rule that prohibits any content violating the policies of its payment processors, resulting in the removal of several games with controversial themes.
- Pushed itch.io to hide all games with adult themes from their platform’s search results and main pages.
What this means for Domitum Fortress
Currently, the most immediate impact is that Domitum Fortress is no longer easily discoverable on itch.io due to the deindexing of all games with adult themes. itch.io has stated that this is a temporary measure while they review which games comply with payment processor policies.
Thankfully, I haven’t seen any bans specifically targeting consensual BDSM games like Domitum Fortress. But the direction things are heading makes it hard to feel confident that other types of kinky content won’t be targeted next.
The Worst Case Scenario
If payment processors clamp down to the point where monetization of the game is no longer an option, I want to make one thing clear:
I will continue developing Domitum Fortress as long as I’m able and as long as it remains legal to do so. Of course without any hope of financial reward the time I can dedicate to it may be reduced but it would still live on as a hobby project. This game truly is a passion project for me. I really enjoy working on it and I deeply believe in its right to exist.
In Conclusion
Right now, there’s no reason to worry about the future of Domitum Fortress specifically. But this trend toward puritanical censorship is something I think we should all be paying attention to. It has broad implications for freedom of expression and the survival of adult and erotic art online.
I’ll be sharing some links and resources in the comments for those who want to learn more about the situation or who want to speak out and make their voices heard.
