Orane Pluto
Hello there, I'm Orane Pluto. I'm working solo on Domitum Fortress, an erotic sandbox roleplaying game about BDSM in a post-apocalyptic world. You can get the most recent Public Build here: https://oranepluto.itch.io/domitum-fortress
Work on version 0.1.2 has been progressing smoothly. I've been focused on improving and debugging the Snapshot System, and I have some exciting news, snapshots are no longer limited to being completely static! It's now possible to have small animations before they freeze in position. For example, a character can get into position for a sex scene before the animation locks in place.
I've also rewritten the UI system to make it more powerful and improve performance. While the next update likely won't include a full interface overhaul, the foundational programming work I'm doing now is what will make that possible in a future update.
That said, one small but impactful change coming in the next update is that you'll now be able to see both the aesthetic and skill scores in the character selector when buying and selling slaves, making trading much quicker.
Of course, I've also been working on creating a snapshot for every sex scene in the game, which is the main focus of update 0.1.2.

I’ve already started work on the next update, with the top priority being the addition of snapshots for all sex scenes and improving those introduced in version 0.1.1. Beyond this, I want to focus on adding new content to the game and polishing what's already there. Previous updates have primarily introduced major new systems, but that left little time to fully utilize these mechanics to create more content for you to enjoy.

After some planning and reviewing the feedback from recent polls, I’m excited to share the core features planned for the Character Arc (versions 0.1.0 to 0.2.0).
These features are key mechanics for Domitum Fortress but they won’t be the only things added to the game in these updates. Expect additional content, smaller features, and various improvements beyond those listed here.
Take into consideration this roadmap may change as development progresses and new possibilities or feedback arise. The features are not listed in a strict order, as many depend on one another.
(X) Player Avatar Character
A customizable character you create at the start of the game to serve as your avatar.
Introduced in 0.1.0 with improvements planned for future updates.
Scene Snapshots
Still images of characters during key moments of sex scenes. More details can be found in Devlog #11.

Body Variety
Muscle mass and body fat values will modify character models and textures.

Character States and Traits
Slaves will have temporary states (examples include "bruised", "dirty", "in chastity") and permanent traits (examples include "masochist", "educated", "bratty", "shy"), adding depth and individuality to each character. This system will serve as a foundation for many other features and mechanics.
Bondage
You'll be able to place submissives in bondage, with their model reflecting the specific tie. The duration they remain in the chosen position will affect them, such as increasing discipline or arousal (especially if they have the "rope bunny" trait)
Arousal & Libido
Arousal will influence the likelihood of orgasm during sex scenes and interact with chastity mechanics. Libido determines how easily a character becomes aroused.
Milking System
Using specific devices, players can collect “milk” (semen or breast milk) from slaves to sell for profit. This system ties closely with arousal.
Submissive Breaking
Even if all slaves have voluntarily offered themselves to be in that position, they may not have fully embraced sexual submission. When you "break" a submissive, they will acquire a core submissive trait based on the type of play that broke them. For example, bondage may result in the "rope bunny" trait, while sexual use can give them the "nympho" trait.
Pose Animations
Instead of just a standing idle animation, there will be animations for positions like kneeling, being on all fours, hands tied, and more.
Devotion
Slaves will grow in their level of devotion to you, influencing their behavior and reactions in sex scenes.
New Character Item System
A new item system will remove current limitations, unlocking new possibilities. This includes additional item types (such as piercings, makeup, earrings, and accessories), visual effects during scenes (like spanking marks or cum on skin), and the ability to layer items, like multiple tattoos.

The change of the version number means the conclusion of the Core Mechanics Roadmap and the start of the Characters Roadmap.
At this stage in the game's development, the focus in on breathing life into the game's characters, particularly your submissives, aiming to enrich and deepen your interactions and relationships with them. I want each one to feel somewhat unique and for there to be development in their submissiveness.
There are many decisions to be made now, many of which I’ll be putting up for polls soon. I'll share a list of features you can expect between 0.1.0 and 0.2.0 as soon as they are decided.

First off, I want to thank you all for your patience. Even though I've been pushing hard to get the next update ready, I’ll need just a few more days. I hope you’ll understand, and I’m confident you’ll enjoy the improvements once they’re finished.
On a positive note, I made some experiments with still frames for the sex scenes, and I’m excited to share that it’s looking very promising! While this feature won’t make it into the upcoming update, you can expect the first still images to debut in version 0.1.1 or 0.1.2.
So, what can you expect from these stills? During scenes, you’ll still see idle animations (with plans to add different animations for various poses). But when the action really kicks in, a snapshot of the characters in the heat of the moment will be displayed.
Of course, fully animated sex scenes would be ideal, and it’s something I’d love to include in the future. However, these are notoriously difficult to animate and would require a significant time investment, which I believe is better spent on more essential features at this stage of the project.
Anyway, I’m confident that these illustrations will enhance the experience and make the scenes more vivid.
