Devlog #7 - Basic Core Loop implemented


Hey folks! I hope you're all having a good day or evening.

In case you missed it, V0.0.4 has been publicly released, and V0.0.5 is available for backers. You can get the builds here:

With the new mechanics in V0.0.5, we now have functional versions of all the core gameplay mechanics described in Devlog #1! This milestone will be marked by the next update, V0.1.0. If you want to read about what comes after the implementation of the core loop, check out Devlog #3 - What Comes After the Core Mechanics.

For the next update, I plan to polish and integrate all the systems we have, creating a solid game loop that will serve as a foundation for all the other features we want to add to the game.
Two features that I consider essential for V0.1.0 are an improved movement system and a player character model with a creation window at the start of the game.
I'll give more details about the next update in future devlogs and polls.
I'm working on adding body morphing to the character models. It's a challenging task and almost certainly won't be ready for the next update, but once it's done, it will be the best solution for adding body shape variety to the game.

Devlog #6 - Small Delay on 0.0.5

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well.

I wanted to give you a heads-up about the upcoming update. Unfortunately, I'll need to delay its release by a few days. This is a big update and I've just finished implementing all the new systems and content. Now, I just need a few extra days to squash bugs and make sure everything runs smoothly for you. I'm confident you'll find the result worth the slight delay.

Devlog #5 - Version 0.0.5 in the works


Hey there! I hope you're having a good day.

With the release of version 0.0.4 to backers and version 0.0.3 to the public, I've begun work on the next update. While the previous release was primarily focused on implementing new systems, this update will shift focus towards adding fresh content and polishing existing mechanics.
Despite this, 0.0.5 will also introduce the World Events mechanic (as explained in Dev Log #1). With this addition, version 0.0.5 will mark the completion of our Core Mechanics roadmap. Following this milestone, we'll be entering a new phase of development, as indicated by the shift to version 0.1.x.
I'll share more details on version 0.0.5 soon. For now, I can reveal that we'll finally be having ball gags, cock cages, and chastity belts to play with.

Devlog #4 - What to expect from 0.0.4


Hello everyone! 

Let me start off by thanking you for all the support you've shown for the project. To be honest, I initially anticipated a slower growth in interest, so I'm really humbled and thrilled to be working on this game.

I'm pleased to announce that the next update will finally bring our save system! In my testing, combat felt somewhat lacking without the ability to save progress, so I decided to bring forward the save system from version 0.0.5 to this update.
With this addition, the features coming in 0.0.4 are:
  • Combat and Mercenary Characters
  • Brothels
  • Save System
I've made significant progress already, and if everything goes as planned, it will be released at the beginning of March.

PS: Due to clear consensus, I've decided to wrap up the Poll #4 - The Player Character's Appearance earlier. Which means you can expect your character to have a 3D model in the future!

Devlog #2 - The Core Mechanics Roadmap


Hello, everyone!
I've made a roadmap for the implementation of the core mechanics, outlined as follows:
  • Slave Skills & Training: V0.0.3
  • Combat: V0.0.4
  • Save System & World Events: V0.0.5
Each update will come with additional features and improvements, just like the past ones until now.

I've been grinding away to ensure we wrap up this year with a big update. Here's a peek at the features confirmed in V0.0.3 so far:
  • Slave Skills & Training: The skills are Discipline, Oral, Penetration (penis or strap-on), Vaginal (if applicable) and Anal. These skills will shape how sex scenes play out, with certain moments and choices in the scenes increasing a slave's skill level. The skills of a slave will be taken into consideration to determine their value when trading.
  • Clothing Market, Slave Salon and Tattoo Parlor: Cities will now have all these places where you can go to change your slaves' appearances for a price.
  • The addition of six new slave outfits each with versatile top and bottom pieces that can be worn independently, providing you with a total of twelve new clothing elements.
  • You'll have two tattoo designs with many different placements to apply to your slaves. Note that, currently, each slave can only have one body tattoo and one face tattoo. This limitation will be addressed in upcoming updates.
  • New sex scene with your slave as a service top: You'll be able to have a slave serve you with his cock or with a strap-on.
  • Jiggle physics for breasts
  • You'll be able to move multiple tiles with one click (finally).

Stay tuned for the release of V0.0.3 this month, marking V0.0.2 as the new Public Build. I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming update, and I want to wish everyone a great start to December!

Devlog #1 - The Core Gameplay Loop


Firstly, a heartfelt thank you to anyone supporting this game in any way. For the first devlog let me outline what I planned for the minimum gameplay loop:
  • Mercenary Combat: To raid villages, you'll need mercenaries, which you will have to hire with copper, adding to your expenses. More military power enables you to attack stronger villages, perhaps even other fortresses or cities.
  • Slaves: Acquire slaves through raiding or purchasing. Slaves will possess unique traits and skills that influence their scenes and actions.
  • Slave Training: Engage in scenes with your slaves and make specific choices to enhance their skills, increasing their value when sold or when working in brothels.
  • Slave Trading:  Each city will have preferences when it comes to slaves, influencing their value. You can exploit this by buying undervalued slaves in one city and selling them for a profit in another.
  • World Events: As you traverse the map or enter locations, contextual events and opportunities will add life to the world. Some events will be triggered in your fortress to give personality and depth to your relationships with your slaves.
Building this gameplay loop is my current priority. While I have many other plans and ideas, they will be explored and discussed in future devlogs. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this gameplay loop, and any questions or suggestions are most welcome.
