One-shots #1: The King & Her master - Release Notes V3
If there is demand for a further extension of this story I might release an update, but I consider this story to be finished for now. This chapter's main purpose was as a test of the updated engine but its ended up having a play time of 1.5 hours - more than all 3 chapters of the Femdom Isekai series. Since, Artoria is not an original character, I don't think I will be making this public. I'm considering modifying the model to differentiate her before considering that.
There's so much here that I can't cover all of it. Basically, as promised, a continued story that leads to a spitting section and a foot worship section/mini game. Hundreds of new voiced lines, new throne room animations for Artoria (she walks & climbs to the throne, sits cross-legged and switches legs as you lick, stands up to lean at you), spit detailed drool and floor marks. But that's just the surface.
Tech wise this update has given us so many things:
● An amazing live unclothing system.
○ Both her shoes and leggings/socks come off in real time as physics based objects. This isn't a static animation, her feet curl to accommodate her boots and leggings/stockings deform to ensure they move naturally off her feet. This is a generic system that'll work seamlessly with other characters and any sort of shoes & socks when needed. To my knowledge is a one of its kind system in a video game.
○ In the future for VR this will be moved to require a hand based interaction so you'll literally pull it off her feet.
● A leash system.
○ You will be leashed by the time you enter the throne room. You pick up the leash in your mouth and bring it to Artoria, and then as long as she holds it, you won't be able to move away from her.
● Multi part boot n feet worship system
○ Not only do you have to clean her boots, leggings and feet at different parts of the story
● The footstep dirt and spit marks system.
○ Fully lickable too and dynamic. Used for the game's story.
● Tongue film/overlay system
○ Your tongue gets dirty based on whatever its licking. And has to be cleaned before Artoria allows you to lick her feet. Licking sweat actually makes it shine too.
● Speech recognition (totally local) to choose dialogue options hands free.
○ Has been out since 17th September, please test it out!
● Settings - new and updates!
○ Detailed sound settings - music to game volume and others!
○ Settings have been overhauled along with performance improvements.
○ I've separated both kinds of shadows: sky (sun, moon) & indoor (lamb, chandelier).
■ The indoor shadows I found were extremely expensive even more than dynamic reflections so they're now off by default on slow & mobile devices.
■ There is also a "Shadow Smoothing For" option that only default's to Heroine's skins. It can be expensive for many characters and for the environment and I kind of even like the noise on some elements. But people with fast computers can go to the old "all shadows smooothed" look.
○ UI scale and dialogue text size options.
○ More fly camera options (collisions, speed, etc)
● Improved static reflections - at times even hard to tell the difference between dynamic and static now.
● Auto save improvements: Now an auto save is also made when the story changes your location/world. This will let you reload to your last played position in case of crashes within a few seconds. In my testing, crashes only happen on older iPhones, this makes it so that even there you're playing again within 5-10 seconds.
● Ui improvements: almost all icons match their pixel sizes now. Even the joysticks are pixelated now.
● Procedural breathing animations
○ Cause this is a VR first game, when moving in first person in non-VR or via locomotion in VR, I do not do any sort of headbob/animation. This can make the game feel floating especially as there's a fully 3d avatar for your character even though it animates. These procedural breathing animations are smart, they have your character breath harder if they've been moving top speed, etc
○ Used for NPCs/heroines too. Every character gets a bit of this. One less thing I have to animate manually moving forward.
There is so much more here so many little things that it'll double the size of this list if I cover them all, here's a text dump that absolutely nobody needs to read: a tiny post-credits scene, an evening version of the lake castle, doors between worlds you can free roam/travel via, a sparkle and chime when something's licked clean, glowing quest markers, pause and full-screen buttons, a lean system for Artoria, fun pause customization for what keeps moving while paused, a pixelated transition when menus open and while loading, double-tap and pinch zoom on touch, walking with the mouse buttons, a raw mouse input option, optional tilt-to-look on phones and tablets, a new High hair quality, smoother crawling (arms tuck out of the way, legs clear stairs, no more hopping against walls), VR dialogue that animates, VR dialogue bugs fixed, moving freely during choices in VR, better hand-tracking pinches, fewer first-time stutters, lower memory use, faster post-processing, a new app icon and a pile of iPhone/iPad fixes.
