This is a minor update (Version 3.2) to address feedback I've received last few days & other minor improvements for the future of the game engine. You do not need to play the game again, there is no need new content. But I wanted to take this opportunity to show some of the best moments form the game.
There is a lot of very small improvements to both gameplay and UI.
What’s new since 3.1?
● Spit system improvements

> First ever real time first person scene like this in any game.
○ Particle Effects are much better and numerous. You see little bubbles based on the spit's location and type in the 3d world. This is in addition to the "splat" on screen effects. Splats last a few seconds and fade out these are just momentary.
○ The actual 3d drool now fades too as it comes near your eye or mouth not making it with the more detailed splat. Looks better.
○ In VR, should feel much better. I've spent hours just ensuring it feels more correct. It should look like she's really aiming for your mouth instead of under your nose and hitting it too. And the ones aimed at your eyes, actually switch between them - one eye at a time. Just feels more realistic especially with the blurring splat only on one eye now.
■ Although perfection with current gen vr headset's isn't possible for such close range interactions cause they limit camera near plane to 0.1m.
○ In first person (desktop, phone, etc), the drool lands spawns the splat under it instead of at a random slightly misplaced position.
○ More natural head movements during this time for Artoria.
○ Actually looks good in Fly mode. Previously, in fly mode you'll notice the spit going through the player's avatar's face on the forehead (totally wrong) and disappearing. Now it looks more believable: hits the player/slave's's face and you can see the avatar react even. This is really preparation for some day to use it in a third person mode but mainly also for scenes with other slaves and stuff.
○ The gulp sound after swallowing is removed (it just felt wrong in VR).
● Shoe/socks taking off improvement: The leg & foot movement animations should feel better, less robotic.
● Final boot cleaning section: It shows a glimmer effect/sound effect for each boot you clean instead of when you finish both (which could e confusing.
● Dialogue UI improvements
○ As she speaks, now the subtitles are synced with each word not just the line: Instead of the full line coming in at once, each word is smoothly showed. Initially, I found this a bit disorienting but it preserves the suspense of each line better. And grew to love it but it can be disabled (in fact all transitions can be disabled in settings).
○ Similar word by word transition also implemented for choice text, etc. Just very fast. The choice transitions are smarter too, they still pop up from the word, but on choosing the chosen one moves right and unchosen choices move left. Both word by word.
○ VR specific:
■ The focus/highlights is styled better and clickable area for choices is way bigger.
■ The dialogue text and choice text positioning is better: It's now aware of her actual body/mesh and never covers her no matter which angle you look at her from. It smartly moves out of the way to stay the side of her head or shoulder. This is really for the future.
■ The choices and line text more stable: don't rotate when you roll your head, lean back or recline. This was a bug introduced to keep the dialogue UI stable when under Artoria during the spitting section. Now that particular UI alignment (when under her) is only toggled on for the spitting part of the game.
■ The final end credits weren't visible in VR in Lake Castle Evening stage. Fixed now.
■ The VR locomotion attempts during animation mode or hold mode for the player don't make a sound effect or show the locomotion overlay near the finger as it was being ignored anyway.
● Save/load improvements
○ You can load your save games instantly instead of needing to wait for the game to finish loading (which puts you in the first stage). Saves a bit of time.
○ Fixed some bugs with loading the game to thron or final lake castle evening time. Sometimes it'd cause either story to get stuck on a load to throne room, or spawn Artoria on a stage where she shouldn't be. A new world’s first line now waits until the world has loaded.
● General UI improvements
○ Better eye tracking highlight and focus states (more spacious).
○ Artoria doesn't look at the virtual/touchscreen joystick as you use it which made her look unfocused. Still moves her head though. Rest of her fun interactions like following mouse or the touched part of the screen with her eyes temporarily or moving her head to look at the settings screen or whatever UI element you click on are still there. This one just didn't feel right on touchscreens.
○ Mouse click hold and touch hold on any UI element that's clickable pushes it down slightly to let you know that you did click it. Even in VR for choices and skippable thought. For thoughts this gives abetter indicator of whether a line is skippable or not.
Numerous other tiny improvements and bug fixes: Loading screen and top buttons fade in one at a time, the eye-squint after a spit is now visible in VR, the leash handle and drool in your mouth sit at a more natural height in VR, VR dialogue is now a single panel for the whole scene for better perf, a single pinch can no longer pick a choice twice, the VR gaze-and-pinch pointer is smaller, fainter and stays one size, the floating “Talk to” label in VR is gone (that was a debug flag lol), leaning back in a crawl or kneel in VR moves freely again, your raised or lowered VR view via locomotion eases back smoothly to default when the pose changes (instead of quick and jarring), leaving VR is lighter so it should crash less on exit on Vision Pro, animation scenes now return you to the default pose, dark-mode browser extensions like Noir and Dark Reader no longer recolour the game in a weird manner causing game to look worse, the Settings folders now open and close instantly with no fade or lag, unused sounds no longer load at startup so booting is a little faster, on-screen choices sit evenly centered at every text size.
