So, I've been doing this subscribestar thing for a year now.
I'm extremely grateful to all the people who were generous enough to pay to see my work and doodles. It's absolutely helped motivate me to get better.

However, I haven't been able to get enough subscribers to justify the time I spent each month on animations, and so it's been slow. And I've tried out different things, so even though I've been basically working all the time, the output of finished animations hasn't been stable enough, I feel.

For example, the Maddy dance animation took a lot of time, and even though I had fun, not that many people were interested, so basically half the subscribers left.
That's fine, I don't want to focus on just chasing subscribers, I want to be able to have fun too.
And these are tough times, not everyone has money to spend.

A few things have been coalescing up til now.
- The slime stories I've done have been really fun and I've been expanding their worldbuilding.
- The miscellaneous characters haven't really attracted as much attention from people.
-  I've done a lot of polls, but only a tiny fraction of subscribers have actually voted on each project, so it's hard to plan for what people actually want to see.

Right now, I'm faced with a choice :
What do I want to work on, and what will be interesting for the people following my work.


WHERE TO FROM HERE?

Rather than trying to do more varied stuff, I'd like to focus on the slimes and Zun universe for a while.
We're nearing the climax for the first story arc, and I want to do the next arc as real comic pages, not just illustrated text. People will still be able to vote on where the story goes.

I wanted to wait til we had a better Alpha to announce it, but I'm making a game demo set in the Zun world with a programmer friend of mine.
It will basically be like Darkest dungeon, but with slimes and sex scenes.
We have the concept done, and we're making a discord server where people will be able to playtest and give feedback. We're hoping to have a first version of the combat system done in a few weeks.


WHAT CHANGES ON SUBSCRIBESTAR?

I'm not going anywhere, I'll still be drawing porn and animating. But the big focus will be on Zun for a while.  For starters, I'm going to use the next Zun sex animation to do tests for how the in game animations will look.

- There won't be any animation polling for a while. I may reinstate it later.
- Supportive subscribers will have early access to character designs, sketches, mockups and WIPs as I work on the Zun world and characters, both for the comics and game.
- Generous and above subscribers will get early access to the animations and sex scenes for the game.
- Any commissions or other work I get will also get shown here as usual.
