Finished up Metal Gear - Eva and even rendered its first part last night. As I go a long the rendering, I might tweak a little more, but its finished really. This will take a bit to render fully though. I've changed a setting (shutter speed) to make the animation appear more crisp, which increased how long it takes to render by quite a lot. Besides that, each angle I intend to make an animation from needs 2-5 renders. So yeah. Gonna take some time.

    In other news, I've been playing Cyberpunk 2077 again and it got me wanting to make something. However, chatting on Discord about it, we ended up on the subject of Mass Effect, specifically concepts for Sancus 3 or a 2.5 mini vid type, and that peaked interest. So I'll be starting up that/those soon. That Black Cat isn't forgotten. I'm tempted to finish what there is of it and go with it as is. I'll check on it soon.

    Some more Metal Gear - Eva previews. How's the lighting coming out?

    So, different renders for this one. The free for all render will be the angle previewed showing her face. The camera is stationary, with the video/music screen camera moving around. The other angles, 3-6 other rendered videos, will be various camera motions for Tiered subs.

    The background currently is just blackness with 8 lights for a club style lighting. I have ideas on what to put in the back, just not sure which I like more. I like the 'watchers' aspect, so probably that.

    I've animated her hair and expressions fully. Both came out well. I enjoy doing expressions. Not so much the hair.

    Stay warm. It's cold as hell here right now.

    Not a lot of progress this week. I've been pretty stuck on the lighting for this. Nothing really seems to click and what does come out kinda interesting ends up being a total pain in the ass to do. No worries though, no flood lights.

    Tan lines. I found one that nearly matches her bikini outfight thing. Might be a bit too subtle. Or maybe it's the right amount? I think I'd prefer it a bit more pronounced.

    So this is going to have a camera screen showing an alt angle if you're looking right at her from the front. One of the rendered angles will be a stationary camera in front of her so her emotional changes can be seen fully. I've not sorted how many angles will be rendered, but keep in mind 1 will be free for all, the rest will be Tiers, and, this might be the only freebie this year aside from super small looped type things. Her feet movements have also been a pain to get going.

    Hopefully this coming week goes better.

    Metal Gear - Eva is coming along well. Some of the lighting is giving me issue, but the position, which I thought was going to be a disaster, turned out great.

    So, this machine is on a swivel with tracking software or some such. It keeps itself nice and aligned with her, so wiggling around won't help.

    Not sure on what gag to use. At the moment she has a bit gag, but I'm thinking a tape might work well. Once I start on her expressions I'll sort it.

    As you can see, I've set up a camera screen next to her head to show what else is going on at the moment, for the reactions. I'm probably going to do several camera motions and styles, so multiple renders for this one. A pan camera or two, a stationary facing her with the side screen showing the rest, a camera that jumps from point to point with the music, etc. One of them will be free released, the others for Tier 2+.

    Still no name for it. I don't know the Metal Gear universe well enough to really get a feel for one. Might just do a generic name, like Ivy had. "Black Menagerie - Metal Gear - Eva". That'd be enough, really.

    I'm enjoying working on this project.
