A new blog post about the progress of my writing and code. https://wackymelange.itch.io/reginald-ursingtons-stalking-kittens-knuffles-is-missing/devlog/333412/the-second-case-enhance-all-the-codes
I finished the scaffolding for writing out the story, its general theme, feel and flow to a point where I felt comfortable to start writing and see where it goes without missing the objectives for the game, puzzles and content. This includes short characterizations for characters, rooms and places, the theme for descriptions, puzzles and the case overall as well as some (lame) jokes and quips. I consider the puzzles and chains of puzzles a vital part on the story, so these have been finished too, already.
Going forward I will flesh things out, writing the actual dialogues, descriptions and so on. Things will surely evolve a bit while being integrated with each other, that's how it's supposed to be. I have finished some of the first dialogues and description by "playing" the game in my mind and see how it feels. The process works well and I'm confident the full, self-edited version of the manuscript will be done by the end of the year.
Cheers! /Dagget
