Sex Scene Animations v0

Continuing the progress that was made in the last sprint with procedural animations, I've started work on setting up the first sex scene demo for use in the game. While no where near the final product planned, progress is going well. The initial plan was to have a demo build ready however it still needs some polish before releasing, even for an alpha demo.

In addition, I have identified a service to host videos and will begin using it soon. I am also working on bringing the Discord server for Virtual Shards online soon as well.

Procedural character rig progress


Progress over the last week on the procedural character rig has progressed well. While not complete the basic walk/run functionality is complete and the foundations for environmental interactions is in place. More work is still needed but the focus for the rest of the month will be on setting up the first scene simulator and then connecting in the code from the OSRController.

Hello! I'm NecroVR and Virtual Shards (VS) is the name of my project. Virtual Shards is an open world, action RPG with roguelike, survival, and population-sim elements and integration with open source adult toys. I know that's quite a bit so please allow me to unpack that.

Action RPG - The core of VS is an action rpg where you can test your skills through combat and puzzles, gaining experience and leveling your character. You also have the opportunity through the randomly generated dungeon system to recruit multiple companions who will have unique sills both in and out of the bed room that can help you while you adventure.

Open world - VS is not a sandbox game in that it does feature a main story line as well as side quests and similar elements found in other RPGs however there is no requirement to follow these quests beyond the initial tutorial and you are free to explore the world in any way you see fit, picking and choosing what quests you do along the way.

Population-sim - Each dungeon or combat area you enter will have one or more bosses that once defeated can be recruited to follow you if you choose. Recruited followers will live, work, and serve in the living area you establish for yourself providing both support for your future adventures and companionship of those lonely evenings in the Shard.

Roguelike - VS features randomly generated dungeons to explore, conquer, and loot. Once a given combat area has been cleared out, it can be regenerated with a different map, challenges, and rewards including new bosses that can be defeated and recruited to your side.

Survival - While not a typical survival game (you won't be dying of thirst or hunger), VS includes a building and crafting system that requires gathering resources and building facilities to refine and then craft the gathered resources. Once you've acquired a few companions through dungeon explorations, they can do the tedious work for you following your directions.

Sex toy integration - From the start, VS will be integrated with devices that utilize t-code (more info available here). I am also investigating adding support for additional APIs as I become aware of them.

Virtual Shards is still very much so in the beginning of its development but the various pieces that make up the game are already starting to come together. I normally post on Monday evenings and will be including images and/or video when available (starting with next week's status update). Before the end of the month I will also have the feature roadmap published and available for review.
