I bring news, and unfortunately not much of it good. To give some context, this past month or so has been abysmal for adult content creators. From the upcoming UK legislative changes and now SubscribeStar's updated Terms of Service debacle, things are looking grim. For the specifics of these things I recommend looking them up as this post is already going to be really long. 

So what does this all mean? It unfortunately means things cannot stay as they are. I know some people would suggest continuing on as if nothing has changed and hope for the best, but that is not possible. I have received some DMs in my discord already from people from a certain hellhole (forum). They have made it very clear that they will not allow this method to work and will do whatever it takes to make sure this project doesn't succeed. 

Now I know the next suggestion will be to move to a new platform, but at the end of the day, there is nowhere else to go now. And even if there was... Well we are experiencing a cycle, aren't we? I am too tired with this all to keep moving platform. Having to go through this every few years is not something I want to have to do. I have artists who rely on my ability to pay them, so it is not just me affected by any action I take.  

But we are not giving up entirely here! Going forward, I am proposing a lot of changes, but these changes do not make the project "Urban Demons" anymore. I can no longer in good faith call it a remake, even a reimagining is something that feels off. Instead, it's something new. 

At the moment the plan is to make all the necessary changes and release that as a "0.01" of the new project, so far called "University Demons" (to try and keep the UD acronym). The changes we are going to make are listed here:

After that we continue on as expected with the Main Story update with Neala & Meridianna. And then we move onto fan voted content, such as cosplay comic book event, pool event, car wash event, threesomes etc pretty much as planned. 

My plan is to hire a writer who can help me speed up the progress of all this by a significant amount so that we can keep developing forward with the other characters (Sarah, Lisa, Donna & Dizzy) while also make the necessary changes proposed above. So if you have writing experience and a portfolio with references, please send me a message. 

When I say I am tired, I really mean it. With personal problems as well as all this happening at the start of the year and not having had any significant time off in the past year (at least) I am burning out fast. Everything is taking 4 to 5 times longer than it should and my brain is just fuzzy. As part of this plan I'm going to finish up the work on my other projects and take some much needed time off to try and calm down and relax before coming back to this feeling refreshed and capable to give it my all and make it the best version of this plan that it can be. 

In terms of timing, I would expect to see something no later than the end of July, but I'm hoping, with a writer, it will be a lot quicker. And I will not release the new version until all the changes I mentioned above are implemented to the best standard that they can be. 

I appreciate this is large amount of changes (hence why I said I cannot call this a remake anymore). And I know the changes will upset some, but again I reiterate these aren't things I want to change out of choice, but my hand is being forced by things beyond my control. If this is where we lose your support, I completely understand, and I appreciate you sticking with us up until this point. 

For those of you sticking around because you see potential in this project still, thank you so much. I know my team and I greatly appreciate all your support and encouragement.

Unfortunately, things don't always go as planned or how you want them to go. Also unfortunately, I happen to live in a backwards ass, actual joke of a country. Some of you may be aware or have heard the UK is currently trying to push through an amendment to the upcoming Crime & Policing bill that will see possession or publication of "simulated incest" become a criminal act, punishable between 3 and 5 years in prison (https://bills.parliament.uk/publications/65134/documents/7933 - the amendment.) Some places have already (mistakenly) reported that this law has already come into effect.

The bill is currently in the Reporting Stage for the House of Lords, which means it could potentially become law imminently. While the law seems to be geared towards real life or AI simulation, unfortunately the law isn't so ironclad to exclude the stuff we create here. It all comes down to whether a "reasonable person looking at the image would think that A and B (the characters) were real". Obviously we can all agree that no one would consider Brigette or Peter to be real people. And I agree, it is extremely unlikely. But it does come down to what a jury (or single magistrate) deems at the time. 

The main point is that under this new law the content we make here could put us into legal trouble (even if we were later proven to be innocent). Going through the legal process, having to hire lawyers, it's not something I want to indulge. I do not consider it worth it, and it's not a battle I am passionate enough about to fight. Especially with the chance (no matter how small) I could end up in prison for 5 years. 

That's where we are at now, so lets talk about solutions.

First things first, the game is not ending. In the immediate, I've done some tidying up on the subscribestar so that we are ready for when the bill goes live. The next build, 0.10 will see the (temporary) removal of both Brigette and Sydney. Their content will not be accessible within the game. After that we will be looking at completely rewriting both Brigette and Sydney to accommodate different roles within the game. They will eventually return, but not anywhere near the same manner as what they are right now.

Now I know a lot of you are thinking. "Why can't you just rename them to step/adopted/land lady? Or let the player choose the relationship?" The one thing the bill does well is define what it considers incest which includes all the aforementioned possibilities, including any sort of "guardianship" style relationship (raised from a young age scenario).This effectively removes any possibility of an easy rework like that. And a lot of these options puts us in this exact same "grey area" that I do not want to be in when there is a potential prison sentence on the line. I'm certainly hoping you can all understand and agree with that.

So at some point in the future, Brigette and Sydney will return, just in a different form from what they are now. We hope to make their storylines still engaging, fun and sexy, but they will be very different. Please keep in mind any future planned incest content in this project has now also been scrapped.

I know for a lot of you that is the only reason you are here, and if you no longer support the project, I completely get it. But I hope you can understand my position on the matter and why I have to make the decision I have, not because I want to, but because I have to. We will continue to soldier on in any regard. There are plenty of hot milfs in this game that have no relation to each other that I think still makes this a great project and one I will still be just as focused on. 

I have made a separate post that makes 0.9 freely available to all, but this post will be removed once I get the notification the law will be going live. 

There is probably a lot of anger and sadness at this news and I totally understand. But please keep in mind this isn't a decision I want to take. If it were some platform who was trying to enforce this, I would just ride it out and change platforms when we eventually get kicked. Unfortunately this time, it's my own ridiculous government. (The same government that recently booted a bill that would outlaw cousin marriages. Marrying your cousin? Fine. Getting your girlfriend to call you daddy and filming it? STRAIGHT TO JAIL. Fucking idiots.)

If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them and I'm happy to hear suggestions. Just keep in mind anything that puts me in a "grey area" is not something I will consider for the reasons I've already mentioned. 

I hope we still have your support with the project, but I also understand if this now greatly reduces your interest in it. We still have a lot of content to release this year and I'm looking forward to delivering it to you!

Happy new year everyone, I hope you all rested and celebrated! Just letting you know that reward folders are now updated (along with potentially my new favourite sketch!). Also the sneak peeks are a little light this month due to Crot taking some time off for Christmas and also Mrs Jennings new clothing was part of the same batch ^^

Also I've updated the roadmap for this year to give you an idea of all the exciting things to look forward to!

As you can see our plan is to continue on with finishing off character's main progressions and the main story. Afterwards we move over to our first subscriber voted content from a list of things such as threesomes, outfits, scenarios, etc. (More on this later in the year when it becomes relevant) 

In the spirit of giving for this time of year I've decided to release all the sketches that were finished from the previous year (2024) for everyone to enjoy! I'm doing this now before the hectic holiday season really kicks off as a thanks to all supporters of the project. Without you all we wouldn't have had such amazing progress of the game and it's been really great to see it really start to come to life. This time neat year it's very likely all the final progressions will have been completed and the main story too and we'll be adding in some BRAND NEW content! Exciting!
