0.02 - Quick update + announcement
0.02:
Just wanted to give a quick update on 0.2, obviously things have not gone according to plan. To put it simply, I was feeling a lot of burnout from the constant working (and stress of reworking the entire project suddenly, plus everything else going on both personally and professionally) and really needed some time off to recover and focus on other things to allow myself time to breathe.
I'll likely take today off as well (or have a reduced output), as today is supposed to be a bank holiday in my country and I genuinely can't remember the last time I enjoyed one of those.
That said, I appreciate things are taking longer than both you and I want them to. Due to the likely frustration this has caused, and because I know some people only sub for the build the build will release completely for free by the end of this week. Note that means You do NOT have to be subbed to gain access to 0.02. So if you only sub for the build, make sure you unsub now.
Things will hopefully return back to normal for the 0.03 build, but I will be taking some small time off between the final build of Kingdom of Subversion (another project I work on) and 0.03. Let's just hope there are no more nasty surprises in the future and things can finally go back to calm and normality. The plan is to go back to more frequent, regular builds and have a more timely schedule in place.
Rewards:
Other rewards will continue to be delivered as normal. However we will be moving away from using Mega.nz from now on due to the rewards being leaked. Instead they will be posted as separate Subscribestar posts. While it doesn't change the fact they could still be leaked, it will be more effort for them to do so rather than just sharing the link I send out.
We had 60,000 people access the advanced rewards link compared to the just over 200 people who should have access to it. Piracy isn't as black and white as a lot of people make out and generally hurts much smaller creators way worse (especially when you look at the numbers above). While I will not spend any serious time fighting piracy right now or in the short term, there has to be a balance. I assumed there would be a respectful understanding between the difference of sharing a game build and sharing the other rewards for people supporting the project. If this continues to occur then I will take further steps to make it more difficult and start implementing ways to identifier leakers.
Minor point on comments:
If you choose to comment on this page, I welcome you! I accept the majority of comments and feedback (both positive and negative) and try to respond when I can. However I have and always will draw the line at personal insults or blatant, exaggerated lies. Calling me a thief or scum is a sure fire way to get yourself blocked from commenting here or on the discord. I only block people for 2 reasons, one is for the above the second is for sharing content they shouldn't have done. If anyone says they have been blocked by me, it was for one of these 2 reasons. If you aren't mature enough to express your concerns or frustrations without resorting to personal insults, then you aren't mature enough to be on this page at all.
Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support the project, as always, without you, none of this would be possible. It's been amazing to see people support the project and seeing that support grow. I'm so glad people are still interested in this project despite all the hardships its gone through. I look forward to a time where we start voting on what content (possibly soon?) you guys want to see added and how far we can take this!

I am glad to hear you are taking a well deserved break, you are doing some amazing work and have been engaged on this (And your other) projects non-stop for a very long time.
Just some feedback/suggestion for the short term: I think (Just my opinion) that at the present moment, with so much uncertainty due to the changes and re-works on your projects, you shouldn't give out hard deadlines (Until things normalise of course!)
I believe that setting hard deadlines or near-to hard deadlines is putting excessive pressure on you and creating expectations of things that are very unlikely to materialise (Due to factors outside of your control!)
Maybe a more flexible/wide timescale for releases could help reducing this pressure, giving you more leeway and hopefully taking a burden of your shoulders.
As an analogy think of Mrs. Jennings perfectly round, massive, meaty buttocks, they are so big you can't miss spanking them, if they were very small you could easily miss them XD
Take your time man I've been a sub for your projects since 2015 and funnily enough is I wouldn't have know about most of the projects i support with out some of those leaks though i understand the frustration.
Thanks for the update!
Yeah, you definitely need a good break. I’m sure you’ll make even better stuff once you’re rested. Pay no mind to the haters — they’re just making a fool of themselves. I’ll support you no matter how your projects turn out. Take care.
I understand that you need time to relax and I'm all for it because you are one of the best artist I know and love and you need to take care of your self before you entertain us so please for the love of God and all that is holy take care of yourself before you interact with us please.
