π MindWare 0.1.7 (Supporter-Only Beta 1) Release
This beta release is all about a new minigame. This minigame will appear whenever AVA attempts to influence the player's sexuality (soon to be implemented as outlined in my previous post) or gender.
The minigame took much longer to create and polish than I originally anticipated. In fact, my plan was to release it on Monday, but then I discovered some serious bugs on mobile devices and in Safari. Hopefully, I've managed to fix all of them. If not, please leave a comment.
The code for the minigame is based on HiEv's 3D passages sample. When you trigger the minigame, you appear inside a 3D room with four walls. Each of these walls represents a passage, and you can turn to face different walls by clicking the left/right wall (doesn't work in Safari and mobile browsers), swiping, or pressing the left and right arrow keys.
Soon after the minigame starts, the first red warning appears on the wall you're currently facing plus 1-3 other walls (different instances of the minigame will have different settings). After a short while, the warning/s are replaced by hypno videos representing AVA's attempt to influence you in your sleep. To resist, you must turn away to face an empty wall. If you stare at the hypno videos for too long, you lose. If you manage to avoid looking at them until the timer reaches zero, you win.
You can currently trigger the minigame only from the Extra Options menu.Β
I've included an option to disable the timer and essentially turn the minigame into a 3D goon cave. In the future, the Extra Options menu will allow you to come back to all the instances of the minigame you've unlocked so that you can experience them again.

Now that this difficult-to-develop minigame is done, I can switch gears and implement all the other necessary gameplay changes to tell the story I want to tell. I will do my best to get it done in 2-3 weeks max, so there's enough time for me to give you several doses of new story content before the year is over.

- You can now disable the avatar image in the sidebar.
- You can now disable button sound effects in the settings menu.
- New OmniPedia entry about the Community Zone.
- New dialog with Trix (unlocked after the GitGud delivery quest).
- New sleep minigame (currently accessible only via the Extra Options menu).
