Progress Update, Brigit and Samara update
Since completing Dr.Midday, I've since began working on Brigit and I've made some good progress I'd like to share. There's some smaller updates I've been working to so let's get into the details.
Brigit's Skill and Traits
While Brigit is still somewhat early in her developmental stage, I've outlined her skills and abilities in game.
Firstly, as a brawler, Brigit will utilize "Martial Arts" that can still be collected like weapons or in the form of billets. Martial Arts will offer less base stats like attack or agility and lean more toward granting skills or status afflictions for the most part. As a character, Brigit is proud, self assured, bratty and somewhat selfish, so I'm aiming to reflect some of this in her playstyle. Brigit will be focused on dealing as much damage as possible as quickly as possible. She hasn't reserved any skills that specialize in helping others, and she will actively mock other characters who faint in battle.
When focusing on a single target like a boss for example, she'll be able to output a large and collective stream of damage. She's a heavy hitting and agile character overall.
Flame Lord Transformation
Similar to Samara's Twilight and Aureate resonance switching, Brigit has access to a transformative state. In this form, Brigit can output even more damage and Pyro based elemental attacks and skills, while being rendered immune to binds and sexual attacks in exchange for burning Energy while the form is held.
My inspiration for the visual design may be obvious but I was inspired by Japanese Sentai like Power Rangers. It's an aesthetic I honestly think just looks awesome.
This Dragonic power is something expected to be inherent for Brigit's bloodline, but unlike others in the Sectarian royal family, Brigit wasn't born with this power. There'll be more details regarding this detail in-game. I want to try and include Brigit's H-Scenes in her initial test release, depending on how much progress I can make over the next week.
Now lastly I'd like to talk about some of the updates I've done on the side
Updating Samara's Dialogue CG
I've been planning to update Samara's Character art after Journey's since I wasn't satisfied with it. I always considered it partially placeholder since Samara was one of the first characters I drew for dialogue.
The last small detail I added was introductory lines the characters might say when entering the Dungeons.
I want to add more instances of varying minor dialogue to increase the sense of life and reaction the characters give off. Now when first entering the Serferus Realm, there's a chance the leading character will have a line of dialogue to say.
Depending on who else is in the party, the other characters will have something to say in response or to each other.
So that about covers this update, It was definitely on the smaller side since I'm focused on completing Brigit right now. there's a few things I'm working on that I want to save until I have them in a more complete state, until then thank you again for following along, I'll have a potential surprise and more to say next time!
