I'll also try my best to actually make the early access benefit happen from now on. Lately I've been just releasing to everyone all at the same time. Most of you must've noticed by now but I should still point it out: yes I want to make polls more frequently. This is another one of those benefits that is usually just there and I'm not doing anything with it. I want to change that, and that's why I did a couple of these changes, so that it should be much easier to have them occur. That being said, I have some ideas for initial polls, and I plan to start them next month. There will be polls for characters to draw, situations, and even themes (more on that later). 

Also, since the end of the year is fast approaching, I also wanna make a poll asking you what were your favorite drawings of mine this year, by month, so that I can do a nice year's end collage/post featuring all of the most voted ones. I'll make a post and announcement with more info on December.

On this same note, I wanna ask you, real talk here, if I'm not in a stated hiatus and you feel like I'm not doing enough of a certain benefit, or simply forgot to do it (be it Polls, WIP updates, Events, BTS, Early Access etc), please let me know and I'll take your feedback into account. Sometimes I just really forget about something or other, and it's very easy for me to lose interest in something if I feel like it's not interesting or that there's not enough interactions. Your feedback is really important to me and I really need it to become better at what I do and to deliver more interesting things to you! So don't shy away from saying or calling me out on certain things (just be nice please ;u;). I wanna build this together with you, my supporters, and I really need your support. I have many flaws as a human being, so please help me, and we may make each others lives much livelier ("and lewder" -Yphyska)! 

Oh, and also, your feedback on my art is important too, if you think anything can be improved on a WIP of mine feel free to let me know and I'll consider your opinion!

With that out of the way, you may also have noticed the previous Scarlet Devil tier (The $25 one) is getting canned. This is mostly due to the facts that it's too troublesome to manage the contents of that tier (specially given the sizes of the files on my small space cloud storage), and also that there wasn't anyone really interested in it, therefore I decided to take it out. It might come back in the future if demand for it is substantial enough, but for now, it'll remain in the shadow realm. 

As a consequence, "Scarlet Spice" is also no more, and it was now renamed Scarlet Meister (previously the name of the $10+ tier). Meanwhile, the $10 tier now is "Scarlet Devil", in other words, you can pay a lot less to have the cooler status around these parts now. B) Not to mention, now the roles are all part of the same "theme". Said theme being Remilia Scarlet and the SDM characters from Touhou Project. I mean, there was no "Scarlet Spice" associated with them, so that was always a little awkward. 

These updates will all be applied to my other platforms as well (Patreon and FANBOX), and thus everyone should be walking at pretty much the same pace. Also, they'll be mostly applied to content going forward, going back and altering my posts from before this change to match it would be a little time consuming. So, if you have anything you desire to see (that you now should have access to thanks to the update), link me to it and I'll update it ASAP.

Hello there, it's time once again to summarize the last month!

I haven't been posting any new WIPs lately because I've been mainly focusing on updating / finishing older projects that have been pilling up. However I am keeping track of any ideas I have for future ones on a notepad.

I've been also trying to take it easy and focus a bit more on life and myself as well, being on the internet too much or just working too much isn't exactly doing any good for my mental health. But that being said I'll pick up the pace very soon. 

The Suggestions Box and AMAs will now be available directly from my Patreon, Fanbox and SubscribeStar. Previously the Suggestions Box was only a channel on my Discord and you could also send suggestions to me through DMs. But now, I'll make it a little post every month on my platforms, that will be pinned so that is more easily viewable. Same thing goes for AMAs, whenever I run them. To make things easier I might also make these into a Form at some point too, so it'll be easier to send them my way.

I've been trying my best to be a little more active and talkative on my social media, but it's very hard for me since I'm very boring and reclusive (at least I feel like), so forgive me if I just appear to be dead most of the time. :(

I know my art isn't all that good (at least in my own opinion), and I'm also very slow to make them, and since I barely say anything besides in a couple key posts here and there, and when I post an art, it just leaves this immense gap between me and you, the viewer, and that's really bad because my goal is to get closer to everyone, hear feedback and build a community together. 

Come to think of it, maybe this is the cause of my lack of confidence and motivation. The pandemic isn't really doing any wonders for me (or anyone for that matter), an already reclusive prick, so I tend to feel very lonely. And since I'm always so cynical and pessimist I tend to beat myself down a lot...

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get all sad in the end there, I try to not let my personal issues affect my work too much. I just don't usually have anyone to talk about them so sometimes they pile up, but I'll be fine, probably.

I've been thinking about altering my Commissions model. Up to now I've been doing the body sections format (Head Shot, Half Body, Full Body), but I've been considering changing it to a more "effort based" system. What I mean by that is the prices will now reflect the amount of work I'll put into a piece. This will allow me to give a greater variety of price options for anyone who wishes to commission me. Now, don't get wrong, this does not mean I'll put less effort into smaller commissions like Head Shots, Emotes or Avatars, I'll still try to make the best thing possible for that specific piece. What will happen is that basically each commission will now be it's own "beast".

Main types of Commission I'm aiming for: Sketch, Lineart, Emote, Head Shot, Chibi, Base Color / Flat Color, Background Only, Simple Shading, Full Shading. 

If you have any suggestions of other commission types I could add to this, feel free to let me know. 

But regardless, this is all just an idea at the moment, and before I make that decision I wanna hear from you if you think this is worth it? My idea with this is to give a little more for less to everyone, and also more for "full" commissions.

Just like the Suggestions Box, I might also make a Form too, to make it simpler to send me a commissions request, and I'm also looking into creating a Skeb too. I'll let you all know if and when I do.

We haven't achieved any goals just yet but patience is a virtue, as they say! So let's keep going! 

And also, as things go on I might even update or add some new goals as well!

Hello there, it's once again time to summarize the last month!

I decided to end my Art packs aside from the CLIPs and PSDs one, because it was honestly just redundant. I don't intend on ever removing my things from here. I considered doing terms, so people who support me for a month only get the rewards for said month (and after a period of "trust" get everything else), but I honestly don't even know how to properly set that up nor would I feel right doing it. 

I don't wanna feel like I'm gatekeeping people from seeing my stuff (not saying artists that do that are, this is just a case of me, I fully respect artists that would rather do that). I much rather would prefer to have everything available to everyone and have supporters just be, y'know, supporters. You support my creation and me, and not the rewards you get. The rewards are just a byproduct. So that's where I want the focus to be, the support. That isn't to say I'll not put out stuff for you to see, it's  just that in my perspective the means are more important than the ends.

Now I know that by doing that there will be many people who will just sign up, get whatever they came for and leave immediately, but that's fine, I'm grateful for even those, for at least liking my stuff enough that they wanna see it. Of course a recurring support is much better but I'm not gonna force anyone to do it, so if you just paid me to have access to one specific (or more) things, that's totally okay.

I also know that for some months I may not put out as many things as "expected", specially considering how slow I can be to make my stuff sometimes, so it's okay if you decide supporting me isn't what you wanna do. But still, thank you for at least giving me a chance!

If you disagree with anything or everything I said above or have any other suggestions as to what I should do, feel free to let me know! This is an open letter to you supporters, followers, watchers, fans and everyone. And I wanna hear what YOU think as well. Your feedback is important and it just might be the thing I need to feel inspired and/or motivated.

About my Art

I recently decided to change the way I've been approaching my drawing process, for the longest time now I've been feeling like I wasn't able to draw anything interesting or that my art skills were being pushed back or limited by something. I couldn't quite figure out what it was, my best guess was art block, but surely an art block doesn't last for over a year, right? Not long after, I started to notice I was having some trouble coming up with sketches, working on linearts, shading, and that it was getting progressively harder for me to draw.

That's when I realized, my drawing tablet is actually the culprit behind my limitations. I have a very simple drawing tablet, a Wacom Intuos Draw, which is an older model of the current Wacom Intuos, it's very very basic and it doesn't have a touch pad nor a screen.

I've been mainly working with it for the past 5 years, but slowly but surely it was making my creations more and more limited, as I got better.

So to try and fix that, I devised a plan to make most of my sketches from now on on paper instead, traditionally. I'll then scan it or take a photo of it and pass it to digital. It's not a good solution probably, but I simply cannot afford a better drawing tablet (or an iPad) currently, so it will have to be how my creation process goes until I can do that.

But is it better now? I'd say yes. I'm feeling a lot more confident after I did a couple sketches and drawings on my sketchbook already, it felt like I was regaining something I had lost.

If you check my most recent WIPs, you'll see they're all mostly traditional now, that doesn't mean I'll never sketch anything digitally anymore, just that I'll put my preference into the former, whenever I'm struggling.

My newest OC, Ezrin, originated from my sketchbook, soon after I went back to drawing on it for the reasons above, so this proves to me that it can definitely be done. Surely it's a couple extra steps (specially if I wanna make variations to drawings), but I'll honestly take that any day over struggling and not feeling motivated because of "my lack of skills".

And again, if you have art suggestions, feel free to send them my way. I might not end up doing exactly what you suggested (or might), but it might lead me to something else entirely. Please, your feedback is really important!

On other (self-improvement) updates

I've been trying my best to be a little more active and talkative on my social media, but it's very hard for me since I'm such a boring and reclusive prick (at least I feel like), so forgive me if I just appear to be dead most of the time. :(

Maybe this is the cause of my lack of confidence and motivation sometimes too...

So I announced on the last summary that I've altered some goals' amount to reach, as well as revamp some others and added a new one, those reflect on my actual needs for art right now. My current tablet is pretty old and is starting to falter, for example ;u;

So far we haven't reached any goal, but we'll get there! I know it!

I also altered the amount of money needed for one of my goals, as I felt what I was asking before was somewhat unrealistic.

If you have a suggestion for a goal, feel free to let me know, I'm always listening! Sometimes it's hard to come up with these all on my own. x-x

Hello there, it's time to summarize the last two months (May and June)!

I decided to rebrand the "Patreon Summary" to "Supporter Newsletter", as you can see from the title of this post. I'm doing this to better accommodate my supporters from other websites and I also plan to be posting these on there as well. This will also allow me to use this format for more than just "summarize things at the end of the month". Let me know if you like this change or if you prefer the old one better.

On another note, my SubscribeStar (you are here) is finally live and accepting supporters!
There's been a couple things I did after my last post here, so I'll update it very soon!

I got stuck working on one single project for the majority of the month of June. It was pretty stubborn of me I know, and I apologize. I'll try my best not to do that in the future and will try to at least post more doodles or sketches while I do a more complex thing. 

That being said, I did learn a lot from it however, so for my future projects I already have a better idea of what I want my art to look like (for the most part, since I like to vary and mess around too). You can read more on my findings on my Behind The Scenes post for said art.

I started tackling some of my older WIPs and sketches at last! It's just so nice to start new projects that I couldn't stop myself, and so they kept piling up, but no more! I posted the majority of the little updates on my Discord server on the supporter only channels, though I understand a lot of people don't actually want to join Discord or don't like it (which is fine), so I might start posting them here on Patreon in a compilation format or something as well.

I'll try to keep coming up with new stuff as well as tackling the older ones too. I need to, otherwise things will never get done. x)

I'm also trying to study and practice posing, backgrounds, scenes and a lot of other stuff on the sidelines, in between projects and stuff, I need to get my creativity (which I feel I've been lacking lately) back... I might start posting about those soon, for discussions and feedback purpose. And again, if you have art suggestions, feel free to send them my way. I might not end up doing exactly what you suggested (or might), but it might lead me to something else entirely. Please, your feedback is really important!
