Loetaiene (complete), pantograph of the sun

hi hi ! hope everyone had a nice week. primarily, we finished up the loetaiene piece, & tried to pin down how we wanted to handle proportions for the ptal a bit more. the lack of a consistent way to approach their forms does often get in the way of sketching. the digital artist classic of drawing & redrawing forms needlessly, just because an eraser & undo button are present conveniently. it would be very, very cool to have more dynamic poses for our work. i'm aware of our limitations, & want to move past them with time. it's just a bit of work to figure out.

in other news, we have been working on a little writing piece to put on the website. it's not up yet ! (& we also know there's an issue with the writing portions of the website again for some reason.) but i'm excited for it. it's one of the keystone pieces we made for the project, simply revamped & with better presentation. we've also been uploading our work to e621 & furaffinity slowly.

we've been working on trying to have better balance generally with work. while we enjoy drawing, we know that it is not the only responsibility we have with this project, & we need to ensure we use our time effectively. next week, we'll be continuing to focus on figure drawing & proportions, working more on that writing we mentioned earlier, & getting some nice pieces to present to you all. thank you for stopping by !

hi hi all ! with the polls down for now, we will be condensing the double-posts down to a single public post !

this week was a lot of focus on exercises & shape design. understanding what we want to do with our proportions on the face a bit more, & some preliminary experiments with eye shapes.

we also have done a handful of different painting exercises, which can be viewed in this week's file. they were just simple things, trying to improve our sense of shape design & also contrast a bit better. while i think our sense of value is generally functional, i still think we have a ways to go before we will be satisfied with color. this stuff if something i want more structured & fundamentally set afore we tackle our more major upcoming study focus. getting the look & feel of the ptal down pat will be nice, just so we don't have to worry on it for a hot while.

we will be keeping it up to date weekly, on the same days we do this place. times are busy at the moment, but we would like to do some more writing for it as time goes on. as of now, it does have all the art we've done (minus the images we just posted here), with a number of them having bonus writings :>

generally, we'll be using this place as a hub for news on the project, so if anything new happens on the website or our art or whatevs in the future, it will be mentioned here !
