go at once, tweelich i; celebration valley, large decorative wrench

more secret project, more playing with color theory, & a couple of sketches! the tweelich piece took like 4 days total to make including a day last week, so we didn't get to spend as much time on other pieces & writing! but was still a good time

we'll be returning to that WeatherOne character a bit next week, & we have a few of more written pieces that we are working on. we are trying to plan ahead a bit with the story we want to tell with that, & also trying to work on the language a bit more! it's a lot of planning, & it's a fun balance of trying to make sure we do not act to hastily, yet still act & write notes of all the different things that come to mind.

it has been really nice to get back into painty-stuff again. it's just a lot of fun, & very flowing. honestly, we had been preparing ourselves to get really frustrated trying to get back into the swing of painting (we had been doing pixel brush stuff for nearly 4 weeks!!), but it was a lot of fun!

windy day, bone-dry

hi hi! two pieces this week, both half-related to the writings we are working on. those writings are not yet released though, but they'll be done soon. probably going to be focusing on painted works again soon as well. pixel-brush stuff has been fun, & it's something i want to keep at on the side, but i feel like 9 pieces was a nice amount of time for experimentation with them.

I knew this place was a quiet part of the tower-city. Located atop one of its many artificial plateaus, but separate from the main structure of the city. On my way here, I passed by countless buildings carved into the inside of the massive structure, walking up winding stairways just to get to this little building. I wanted a quiet place, but something different than what I was used to. It seemed as though I could have chosen most buildings carved within this plateau. I might have heard 2 others on my way up here, & saw none on the 5-hour walk.

the two writings will be a) a continuation to cciemh's reflections, this time on the topic of CHARACTER in particular, & b) a silly new idea we have cooking.

we have more experiments with hard pixel brushes, this time looking at keeping myself on my toes with hue-shift, & what all i can do with halftones. outside that, got some research we are doing now for a side project, & a previously shelved project is starting up again soon :> not gonna get into either of them tooooooo much yet though. secrets, secrets.

busy week ! it turns out that when you do not have a super big fancy painting to do, you can get more pieces done eehee. after What That Beast Must Be & our newer painting with the earthworm, we are gonna take a little break from big fancy painted pieces, cause they take a long time to make! as you can see, we've been practicing with little pixelated brushes & harder shading lately, which has been a lot of fun.

we also have a new writing up, which explores someone's recent thoughts on what the Ptal even are, & what it is like to live in a post-mortem world & body.

today i met an earthworm, 65percent, color theory write up?

hi all ! hope your week went well. we have some silly things for you this week!

firstly, the piece we've been teasing is done. was a great time ! i very much enjoy this character. we've also done some brush tests, & are experimenting with a sketchy, pixelated thing a bit. it feels a lot nicer than the last hard-edge brush we did, & we might do more in the future.
