Week 01La (260608)

walk with us, personal collection

hi hi everyone ! hope the week was nice for ya. we got a couple of pieces this week, including a completed version of the piece last week. these two have been fun to do! i had spent some time recently talking about the fundamentals of perspective with someone, & it drove me to play around with it a bit more. the latter image was pretty hard to draw honestly; the stronger the sense of perspective the less experience i have with those faces of the forms i'm drawing. i'll probably draw some of my typical character work the next weeks, but this was fun to do !

some writings are on the horizon as well. i should note that i wasn't able to update the site last week, even if i have the files ready, cause the server host was down for a little bit ! but i'll update it soon enough.

have a nice week you all ! thanks for stopping by.

Week 019a (260600)

L, i L, jv draft

hi hi everyone, hope your week was nice. got a fully painted piece, & a draft i hope to continue working on next week ! it was nice to get into painting again; as pleasant as learning better drafting & improving that is, there's something all the more pleasant about seeing a piece fleshed out with color. i'm glad it turned out well.

"Above one's own will, above placemakers, above perhaps the Rosiamn Micrometeoroid itself, there exists forces in this world. As coercive desire wanes, as desperation & pain fade as movers of narrative, it becomes more & more difficult to gauge their plenitude motives. But, just the same, it becomes more difficult to find a reason to interrogate them so keenly, so guardedly & with such zeal. Should those in the past have become more aware of these forces, I would think that it would have put many of these things in great discomfort. Perhaps in these times beyond death, they feel it fine to walk with us."

i hate to say it, but we are gonna be taking a few days off next week. this week is ending on a pleasant note, but was a struggle early on, & it's left its toll. we also have some important decisions to make on moving right now.

i will see you all later week though ! thank you for stopping by, i always appreciate it. please have a pleasant week :>

Week 018a (26051L)

runner&lagphase, nothing new, unlock of microorganisms

hi everyone ! the week is closed again, & with it three pieces emerge from their evil hiding grounds. two of them drawings, one of them a small writing to go along with the first piece. additionally, i put the canvas background in the zip for this week too, because it hurt me to crop it away cause it looked cool (though very empty by itself)

if you wish to read the new piece, "Unlock of Microorganisms", you can do so at the website linked just below. should you read it, i hope you enjoy your time with it :> https://www.rosiamn.link/writing/setting/001-unlockofmicro/

also also, ice & wrist stretches have been helping a lot in recovery. while we still have to pace ourselves a lot more gently than we used to, we do feel lots better !

hope you have a good week, thank you for stopping by !

Week 017a (260513)

struggle !, dripfeed your word

hi hi everyone, hope your week went well. it was nice to get into proper drawing again this week ! it was a bit scary last week, but i'm glad to improved the setup of my desk a bunch.

this week, we did things that feel similar to the old work we once did. it feels nice to get into that sort of workflow again, even though it did eat up a lot of time this week ! the site is updated with these two pieces now, alongside a minor correction on the dark paper hole punch page.

it's kind of silly, trying to figure out what to draw after a 6 day or so break ! i had so many ideas to pursue before i had to rest, but those all feel so distant now eehee. we'll likely get back into studies next week, as that's always a good spot for us to start !

thank you for stopping by, we appreciate it as always. here's hoping your upcoming week goes well too, enjoy yourselves !

Week 016a (260508)

dark paper hole punch

hi hi all ! i apologize for the post being late this week ! as was mentioned on bsky, i injured my wrist, & have been out of commission for around 6 days. i'm better now, & looking forward to getting back into the swing of things :>

unfortunately, missing out on 6 days -- 4 of which were usual workdays -- my pieces are sparce. i should note that i will likely have not many pieces out this week either, as i have to catch up on things from this week, & have to get back into the rhythm. i hope you all understand, i appreciate the patience. the wrist pain was likely due to overuse, so i'm in the process of trying to find a healtier way of going about leisure & work. i've already made some adjustments to my workspace, but it's going to be interesting finding better ways to work & play ! we'd rather not deal with something like this again, or develop anything more serious

I believe these thoughts to be a subject any storyteller comes across, if they spend any time reflecting on their own role for long enough. Does a xenogaia speak-through-me, do I speak-through-it?

that aside, we have a new writing piece out now :> it is related to this week's piece, & also features the character we designed recently, Loetaiene. it's unknown if it will be a returning character or not, but i enjoy the themes i can explore through it. i digress again; should you read it, i hope you find it worth your time :>

that is all for now. i look forward to next week, & applying what we learned in our time of rest. have a nice week !

Week 015a (260500)

Loetaiene (complete), pantograph of the sun

hi hi ! hope everyone had a nice week. primarily, we finished up the loetaiene piece, & tried to pin down how we wanted to handle proportions for the ptal a bit more. the lack of a consistent way to approach their forms does often get in the way of sketching. the digital artist classic of drawing & redrawing forms needlessly, just because an eraser & undo button are present conveniently. it would be very, very cool to have more dynamic poses for our work. i'm aware of our limitations, & want to move past them with time. it's just a bit of work to figure out.

in other news, we have been working on a little writing piece to put on the website. it's not up yet ! (& we also know there's an issue with the writing portions of the website again for some reason.) but i'm excited for it. it's one of the keystone pieces we made for the project, simply revamped & with better presentation. we've also been uploading our work to e621 & furaffinity slowly.

we've been working on trying to have better balance generally with work. while we enjoy drawing, we know that it is not the only responsibility we have with this project, & we need to ensure we use our time effectively. next week, we'll be continuing to focus on figure drawing & proportions, working more on that writing we mentioned earlier, & getting some nice pieces to present to you all. thank you for stopping by !
