I had my first encounter with a Hunter today, and I must admit, I was terrified. I froze in my tracks, just as my master had instructed, and watched as the feline Aequis stalked past me without so much as a glance. It was a tense moment, but I felt a sense of relief once it had passed. It's hard to believe that such a beautiful creature could be so deadly.

According to my master's notes, Hunters are considered the most dangerous of all their kind, as even though they lack any sort of specialized capability, they are extremely skilful, intelligent, and, most threatening of all, persistent. I’ve never encountered one of these feline Aequae, although my master has. My master hasn’t spoken any more about this Aequae, simply saying that, if I am to come face to face with one, I must freeze in my tracks, and not take my eyes off them. No matter what they do.
