Andromeda 0.5 Briefing 3

A little late, but it's that time of the month again. Time for another briefing.

First, I want to give an update on something I mentioned near the end of the last briefing. I mentioned that I was potentially getting a new job which could interfere with development... well, I got the job and have started the training for it, which lasts about 4 weeks. This does of course mean I have less time that I can spend working on the script or setting up scenes, the latter of which is impacted the most because scene setup can be slow in DAZ, so with less time to spend on stuff it can be really slow to setup even a couple of frames. It's not all bad though, because it does mean I will have more disposable income that I can spend on hardware or assets in the future.

Now, for what has progressed since the last briefing. While I haven't gotten as much work done on the script as I would have liked, only managed ~150 more lines of code since the last progress report. I did manage to finish rendering images for the scenes that I had already finished writing out and have set up some of the frames for the scene I am currently writing out, which currently is calling for ~30 images and is only maybe half written and about 12 of those images that are called for have already been posed. Beyond the new job, and as a result the new schedule for it, I will attribute some of the slow script progress to the fact going into this project I hadn't created fully fleshed out character info (history, background, personality, etc.) for all of the crew that currently exist, i.e. I had it for some but not for others. So for some characters I'm needing to write some of this stuff on the spot or when something comes to mind and I have the time making sure to add it to the "series bible" for lack of a better way to describe it.

There wasn't too much to say this time. But before I finish I will say that if my progress on the script continues to be slow like this I will more then likely restart work on the remaster because it is something that needs to be done eventually anyway and if I'm not using that computing power for something else I might as well go ahead and use it for that.
