Play through all ten levels of Corruption Crucible and take out the boss, the mesmerizing CORE, in order to save all of humanity from the Extraterrestrial threats! Be sure to support the development for monthly builds as I begin an exciting new project even kinkier than this one!

• Mask off, or on, in a new Secret Stage: Just like the two levels prior, “Slut Science” now has a secret exit in a location those who already found all the secrets to are very familiar with. This third secret level is full of enemies, traps, and intrigue! Climb the tower to make it to the CORE. Be sure to watch out for the new enemy type because you don’t want it to catch you by surprise.
• EVEN MORE Community Content – The Mask: Not the green one. Although, now that I think about it, there are some similarities. In the new secret level, you will come across floating jester masks. They’re relatively weak, but if they get too close, you will have to stop them from wearing you. If you get possessed, you will gradually lose health until you are completely possessed, resulting in a game over.
• I’m Masked! Oh no! Am I cooked?!: Don’t panic just yet! In the instance that a mask attaches to you, there are a few ways to get rid of it! The first one is to get to a trap that has an instant capture effect. The new capture will strip the mask right off of you... but you will then have to get out of at predicament. The other thing you can do is to take a single hit of BIG damage. It’s risky, and armor will make this extremely difficult, but on higher levels of difficulty you can blast yourself with the Jupiter Cannon in times of desperation. Either way, at least while you are masked, ordinary capture buildup doesn’t affect you. Nice?
• New CG!: With a special new way to submit to your Extraterrestrial Overlords, there’s a spicy new CG to unlock in the gallery.
• The CORE Spawn adjustment: The enemies that spawn during the CORE boss fight will now reflect the ones you’ve seen in the game. This means that the Masks won’t start spawning until you’ve beaten the latest secret.
• Bonuses for Secrets: You can now get the K/S/C bonuses from the secret levels too. Note that while there are more now, the maximum bonuses are still the same (they’re capped at the original six).
• Deal with it: Of course, as somewhat of a completionist myself, I wanted to add a little bonus for those who unlock everything! Once this silly little extra is unlocked, a secret setting will appear in the settings menu for you to turn it off if you “can’t deal with it.”
• Level tweaks: Made some small cosmetic changes in various levels, most notably adding the moving frame exits to the ceilings of “Just Breathe.”
• Navigation Mesh Adjustment (?): Not sure if it affected anything, since I haven’t noticed it in my testing, but Godot starting complaining when I tried to build the pathing for the enemies in the new level, so I made a tweak to a project setting. So far everything seems ok, so I hope there’s no surprise issues in the older levels.

For those who want to go beyond and really support the development of Corruption Crucible, you will get access to the special build with a very important menu: CHEATS! You have access to a whole menu of various cheats to turn on and off at your leisure. These range from the standard stuff like infinite health/ammo, to things like faster struggling and early weapon unlocks. There are even some cheats to make the game harder, including making it harder to escape capture and easier to become captured. You can even customize the difficulty to your liking.

Monthly Development Log is Next Week!

There’s a lot going on for next week’s developer blog, including the future of Corruption Crucible, the push of the new content to Steam and itchio, and a brand new game! It seems like the majority are less interested in action/animations and more interested in RPG games. I’ll save the excitement for next week, but with any luck, my next game will actually be open for community modding???
