Rinnes stepped out of the shower, blindly reaching for a towel. His red fur was short enough it didn't tend to take too long to dry, but his hair and tail — both of which usually came to an end at his shoulders — absorbed water like a sponge, and took forever to deal with. It'd been taking even longer lately, as the only towels he could find seemed to keep getting smaller and smaller. He was sure his mom must have started hoarding the larger ones, but he had no idea why.

Once his hair and tail were adequately dry and floofy, he stepped off the mat towards where his clothes were waiting. Or at least where they had been waiting. Apparently they'd gotten impatient, because they were no longer there. Rinnes scrunched up his face, not looking forward to solving this mystery in case his gut was right about the ending.

Before leaving the bathroom he wrapped himself in a towel as best he could. Oh, he thought, barely able to bring the two corners together around his waist. So that's why.
