"Leia! Get the gun! Point it at the deck!”

“Go, I’ve got you covered!” Jill called out as she repositioned.

Leia nodded and dropped the vibro-axe she had just picked up as she ran towards the gun. One of the guards facing Luke realised what he was trying to get Leia to do and spun around to try and stop her. He barely completed the turn before Jill put him down. Luke was distracted by ordering Leia to aim the gun long enough for another guard to aim at him, but Sam spotted him and put a couple of blaster shots into him before he could fire. Luke nodded his thanks, then glanced over at the gun and saw Leia had just gotten it into position.

This scene does not quite match how things play out as written in The Battle of the Barge. I created it primarily for as a drawing reference, back before I decided to write the fanfic as a whole. I took down the artwork for which I created this when I cleared out my gallery a while back, and never ended up revisiting it, despite intending to. I still may do so at some point; this scene, as written, should have Jill around somewhere, and Sam should have a cloak covering her.

Leia explains the rules of the palace while she and Sam escort the newly-enslaved Jill Valentine to the slave quarters.

While waiting for the results of the "Bad End" poll, I thought I would share one of the original potential "bad end" ideas I had a couple of years ago. I'm considering having a similar scene in the upcoming version, though it will likely play out a bit differently.
