New week, new post. We've completed virtually all of the storyboarding needed to complete "Garden of Roses." This includes 14 day scenarios and a number of extra scenes. We already have a sizable amount of script past what the demo/prologue chapter includes. You're gonna want to be awake for this.

As you can tell from the glimpse into what we've included in this storyboard (low-res, to avoid spoilers), there's a lot of ground to cover. There's a large number of scenes set in the present time, and a decent number of scenes (like the one shown here) that look back into the past of Edelton where things were... complicated.

As was the case with our other titles, we have a plan of attack, and if you've been following us for any extended period of time you'll know we finish what we start. Our goal is to release by the end of 2023, and we'll keep you up to date in case that goal needs to change. We've done a good job keeping to timetables so far, and we plan to stick to that.

We're still waiting to make a fairly big announcement next month due to publisher restrictions, so we hope you'll be patient until then. As always, we plan to make it well worth the wait, as agonizing as that may be.

I know it's been a bit since our last post regarding Garden of Roses. Don't worry, you have not been forgotten and we're still hard at work getting things assembled.

We're still completing some things behind the scenes regarding (another) big announcement with Garden of Roses, so there's still a little more waiting to be done. It won't come as a surprise to hear that it's still too early to talk about it.

Having said that, the Steam store page for the game is up! You may or may not have noticed an odd tagline attached to the title. Pay no mind to that. It will all make sense, soon.

On an unrelated note, we will start resuming some updates for our IP "Bern's Breeding Sim," which has recently been changed to "Happy Harpy Home" (for various reasons).

Don't worry, your waiting will be rewarded soon enough.

As promised, we're *back* in February.

I told myself I'd spend January recovering from the long development of "Garden of Roses" and our other title, but I just ended up working on a bunch of things behind the scenes.

This week we present the fourth musical track from "Garden of Roses," composed by Irene-chan, titled "Blood-Red Thorns." A dark secret lurks in Edelton, wrapping its tentacles around everyone involved.

In other news, we've partnered with a marketer and begun our ad campaign for "Garden of Roses"! They will be helping us organize and launch the KickStarter after the demo release, as well, and there may be further developments thereafter. There's a few more things we're working on, but at the moment it's still too early to discuss.

We'll be happy to explain as soon as we're able.

This is the last SubscribeStar post of the year! After this we'll be taking a small bit of time off to get our ducks in a row, preparing for some infrastructure we hope to launch in the coming year and checking some boxes (as well as just recovering from pre-release exhaustion, in general).

This post is going up a bit earlier than usual, since we assume some people will be dropping off later this week to travel for the holidays.

Garden of Roses

We're going to be spending the entire month of January getting things ready for the "Garden of Roses" demo (and preparing the relevant Steam and Itch.io pages). Another track will be uploaded to the Youtube channel before the demo is complete, so stay tuned.

The demo is slated to be released early 2023, with the full game being completed by 3Q-4Q 2023 if costs go as expected.

An Unannounced IP

We have another IP being developed next year, as well. We can't say much about it at this stage, but it features a new dog girl and a new main character, and is illustrated by TUS ("Seeds of Paradise," "Backdoor Divas (Helga)"). You'll want to have some Kleenex handy for this one.

A Change in Distribution Method

Starting 2023 and onward, our story-heavy games are going to be distributed on Steam in a SFW format with 18+ patches you'll be able to find on our website and official Discord. We've been talking with other developers, and for our IPs that are story-heavy/porn-lite this makes a bit more sense, as it prevents heavy-handed interference with the content. Of course, if you'd rather play the SFW version anyway that's completely fine too.

However, as always, you'll be able to get the spicy version on Itch.io right away (which also will come with the Steam key). The 18+ patches *will not cost extra money*. The reason for separating them is more convenient releases, nothing more.

Kickstarter(?)

I've had a lot of people express an interested in KickStarting "Garden of Roses." While I can't say a ton about this, either, I can say that I'm in talks with some people who have way more experience with this than any of us do.

"Garden of Roses" will be completed in due time, and a platform like KickStarter could potentially help us accelerate the process as well as bring some bonus goodies to the table. Right now I'm a bit unsure of which way we'll go, there.

Pardon our dust. Things have been complicated, and we've been working hard behind the scenes to get things moving on several fronts.
