December | End-of-Year Things (Stats) + Extra

Merry Christmas (and other holidays). I intended on posting this earlier, but I ended up being delayed. The source files included in this post will be free until next year, where they will go in their own post. I plan on releasing the source of some more of my old images around that time.

This is also a reminder that next month is "catch-up" month, so if the "Vacation Mode" setting properly works, you won't be charged next month (so requests will be closed, but commissions will remain open). I'll be checking to make sure it goes off correctly. I am also missing 2 requests for the month.

November Blog | January "Vacation Mode" and Poll Results

In January, I'm going to activate SubscribeStar's "Vacation Mode", which is a function that disables payments for a specified time (you get to keep your limited slots). This is mostly intended to be a catchup month, so requests will be non-functional (commissions will still be open). Normal operations will resume in February. I haven't used the function before, so hopefully it "just works". Note: I'm not actually going on vacation. I don't like going places unless I have to.

October | Blog | +1 Super Hard Slot and $12+ Tier Policy Adjustment

Next month, I'll have another Super Hard ($12) slot open. Like last time, I'll open it around 8 PM Central on the 1st of the month. As for the policy adjustment on the $12+ tiers: I am adding a rule that if you do not provide me with a request or respond within 2 months, I will put you in another tier (at a 100% discount) indefinitely to free up one of the limited slots. If you're unable to respond for a long period of time, please let me know beforehand. As far as I am aware, I can't actually remove people from subscribing completely, so this was the next best solution I found. If you do finally come back, I'll still give the drawings owed for the missing months, and I'll have to ask you to remove yourself from the hidden "Jail" tier.

September | Blog Post - 1st-of-month poll suspension and Super Easy/Nightmare Adjustment

I mentioned this earlier, but next month I am going to temporarily stop the 1st of the month polls due to my backlog growing very large. I'll continue the subscriber only polls, at the very least. Now that I'm also starting to get more commissions, I'm definitely sure I'll not be able to keep up with 2 polls per month (I know, I was already behind). Most likely I will change how I do the 1st of the month polls in the future; probably to something irregular when I don't have a big backlog or something smaller in scope.

August | Blog Post - Super Hard Slot Opened (Next Month)

I appear to have a free slot for Super Hard ($12) now, but I'll enable that at the start of next month instead of keeping it open. I'm not entirely sure what time to open it so it doesn't cause a double charge on that month, so I'll probably open it around 8PM Central just in case.

On the topic of tiers, while I can't seem to disable them completely when someone is in one, I appear to be able to give "Free Access" or "Discounts" for X amount of months, so for the Super Nightmare Tier ($30) I'm going to enable that until I am ready to do those again. Hopefully this won't cause any further charges. I'll take care of the owed SN images next month.

In terms of my backlog, I'm almost done with one of the longer commissions. When I finish that, I'll get back to work on Maractus P4. Maractus P4 technically has a P5, or an "epilogue", so it's a bit longer than the usual sequences. I'm still unsure how I should go about balancing commissions with SubscribeStar images, though I do feel like the sub requests ($12/$30) should get done before the end of their month as a highest priority.

July Blog Post | Allowing OCs in Polls (Sometimes) and Temporary Suspension of Super Nightmare

I can foresee myself being slightly more busy starting in August, and due to various other circumstances, I am temporarily suspending the Super Nightmare tier ($30). This is mainly an attempt to catch up with other works, and when things stabilize, I may re-implement it. I am not sure of an elegant way to disable it, so I'll wait until the very end of the month to remove it. I would suggest grabbing any source files you want before I remove it, unless you downgrade to a cheaper (paid) tier, in which case you'll still have access to them.

Also like before, any drawing that went over the month limit will have the source file posted publicly.

July | Storm Update

Sorry for the inconvenience. I've lost power for about a day now as of writing. I have no ETA when it will be back.

Edit: I have a generator so it's not as bad as it could be in this heat. I might end up getting a temporary CSP subscription so I can draw on my laptop.

May | Important Notice - Billing Change | Next Month Plans | Pixiv Requests | Other

Hello. Thank you for bearing with me as I figure out everything and supporting me this month. As an advanced notice: I am going to adjust the billing cycle setting so it also bills on the first of the month rather than only 30 days from subscription. This is mainly so request payments can be synced and I don't have to pay attention to how long it's been since the last payment per person. I will also extend the $12 tier to 2 more slots at the start of next month (early in the morning, probably a few hours after Midnight CST), making it a total of 10. Tell your friend(s) (optional).

Pixiv Requests

In other news, after I finish the last sequence for the month (the zip file for the source files will be posted right after), I plan on making a proper commission sheet for the Pixiv Requests function. As an extra incentive to encourage more subscriptions, I will include a 10% discount if you are subscribed to at least the $5 tier (Note: Pixiv Requests has a minimum price of 3000 Yen). In the meantime, if you want to request something there, we can discuss pricing here (in Subscribestar DMs). As a baseline, I would have the usual $12 Tier image set at ~3000 Yen; complexity, personal difficulty, and usage of my own OCs modifying the price (OCs would be a discount). I have updated the About:Requests pinned post to include prices.

With the Pixiv Requests function, extra characters / comics / sequences are OK. You can do Anonymous Requests too, just let me know beforehand. The time limit on my end is 7 days to accept the request and 60 days to deliver. Pixiv technically doesn't allow discussion of the commission and NSFW images in my case. Technically. If you catch my meaning.

Note: I've been told Visa/Mastercard will sometimes act funny even if you're requesting SFW. I don't really know if there's a fix for this; you could try changing your region in the settings to see if it helps. I can only hope they fix it. For reference my region is set to Japanese and my card works in other places on the site, though I haven't used the requests function as a buyer myself.

Health

Everything is fine. The specialty pharmacy for my dermatology related injections is still incompetent most of the time and a real headache to deal with, but my skin issues have continued to be stable for years now (I have severe dermatitis that requires medication to keep under control). I also have an appointment with my GI doctor next month to discuss my infusion medication losing effectiveness (I used to get infusions every 8 weeks but we've had to increase the rate to 4 weeks since January). Due to the change, I'll have to get yet another Colonoscopy later this year. Due to a really bad storm around the 17th, I had my upcoming infusion delayed until the end of the month. I should probably still be fine.

Other

I would like to make my first purchase a UPS, as I am not sure how I have managed to live this long without one. I had several power problems this month due to storms, and it was pretty annoying. Afterward, I would like to spend the money on upgrading my computer. I feel the limitation of 16GB of RAM and 4GB of VRAM more and more every day.
