It's me again, already! Are you tired of me yet?

There's been a delay lately when making posts, and it seems like each post has been taking longer and longer to get approved, which really makes me worried about subscribestar. I'm likely on some kind of list where each of my posts needs to be manually reviewed before it can go live, which does not fill me with confidence.

That's all the more reason to move forward with Honeycomb though! Gotta get on itch and steam and show demo 2 to the world and become popular. As long as it's a modest success I can go back to working on Syrup Town without worry.

I may be able to start on card art tomorrow, but that means picking more outfits. Speaking of, time for Crimson Covenant, Severine's outfit. Which one's your favorite?:

Yo, yo, yo dayo!

Honeycomb Catacombs definitely still needs a lot of work, and one of the things I want to work on for the next demo is card art.

I had the rad idea to make cards exclusive to certain costumes use that costume in their art, which will help a lot of them stand apart. But that means I have to actually choose each characters costumes.

Thankfully, I have you guys! I have 18 polls total, some of them with more options than the others. I can't really wait 18 weeks to release the second demo, so I'll probably just wait a few days, post the next one, and then get back to work.

Real quick though, just as a reminder, I am not dropping Syrup Town. I may be focusing on Honeycomb for a little bit, because if Honeycomb succeeds I can afford to keep making games forever. So even if Honeycomb's not your jam I hope you can be patient with me for a little while before I add the big city in Syrup Town v14.

So, here's the first costume poll! Brienne - Siegeplate. An outfit that heavily focuses on dealing damage, damage, damage!

With all the core cast implemented into the game, and with the non-furry version still in progress, I thought I'd make things a little easier on myself by having all of you do the thinking for me :P

v11 of Syrup Town will add more scenes to the current set of artifacts in game, as well as a new artifact decided by you! I'll probably add them all eventually, but they each have their own appeal. Let me know what your favorite is (and maybe what you'd do with it too, if you wanna gimme some ideas)

Charity's Cage

An artifact from Anomaly Vault, with much the same effect. You're too big to wear it, but thankfully just keeping it on your person will sap away your dominance and size, gifting them to others and encouraging them to dominate you!

In Anomaly Vault overuse of the item led to a bad end, but to be fair in that game you were an officeworker in a shady company. The mind altering effects will have the townsfolk be more aggressive to you, but the bonds of friendship in Syrup Town are too strong for any artifact to cause a game over.

Miss's Perfume

Thus perfectly ordinary bottle of perfume has absolutely no special effects, it doesn't even really have a scent. It can hardly be counted as an artifact, I guess this is the joke option.

Yep. No effect at all. I mean, some folks have reported seeing an extremely tall woman stalking them after smelling the perfume, but I'm sure that's just their imagination.

Stretchy Taffy

From Human Alteration App, it jiggles, it wobbles, and whoooooa does it stretch! Anyone who takes a bite of this strawberry-flavored treat will find their bodies extra durable and stretchy!

While Syrup Town's residents are already capable of accomodating some pretty huge insertions, this item would allow for some pretty unusual orifice pemetrations, like nipplepen, urethral penetration, aural sex, whatever whacky things I can think of!

Star-Crossed Cherry

Please not any similarities between this item and the 'Double Cherry' from a specific 3d platformer are purely coincidental.

Yes, both items do create temporary duplicates of the user, but these are meant exclusively for the purpse of double penentration scenes and gangbangs, and may NOT under any circumstances be used for high-octane platforming. If I hear even a single 'wahoo' after consuming one of these I'm nuking this whole place from orbit.

Mystic Lipstick

This tube of lipstick was created by a mad genius in search of the ultimate addictive chemical! Whatever it's made of, it has all the properties of concentrated pheromones and the illicit substance catnip.

Naturally, you're the only one who can safely handle it. And since it's yours, you might as well give everyone in town some friendly, recreational smooches!

Tragically, this option might break SubscribeStar ToS, so it had to be removed.

This is the joke option. Despite wracking my brain I still haven't found a good use for it yet.

As you all know, I've been working on the non-furry version, but I've reached an essential branching point. There's no way to satisfy everyone, so we'll just have to settle this with a poll. Perhaps the most important poll I've ever run.

For characters like Helena, and the Twins, who have short hair...

Should they have human ears, in addition to their fluffy ears?

Please choose your answer with the utmost care. The fate of Syrup Town's success, the chance that it will eventually achieve mega-stardom and become super popular may very well rest in your hands.

v10 Progress

Progress on v10 is going swimmingly! A bunch of images are finished, many more are nearly done. v10's new scenes will include:

• 3 new scenes where you train Helena to last longer/be more dominant on the road to eventually knotting you.
• 2 new scenes for Khanna, one being the cut scene from v9, the other being her wall scene (you're the one stuck in the wall this time!)
• 6-ish new scenes of the deer family's home invitation and repeatables, including petting.
• 3 petting scenes for Bluebell, things get just a liiiittle bit crazy...

Jiggies

Subscriber batch 4 is just about complete. I still have a few requests left, though I may end up leaving those for subscriber batch 5 in the next release. All 38 new jiggies are being tested on the PTR, though I haven't come up with names for any of them yet.

The final meaty jiggy is of Yu, so I made 5 additional variants so the jiggy would reflect your gender and skin color. Please look forward to it!

[Poll] [Syrup Town] - V5 Progress and new Hentai University mod

Hello hello all! v5's been chugging along and there's new stuff to talk about. Thankfully I was able to escape playing the new palworld update long enough to make some progress. There's a few things on our agenda to day so let's dive in!

New HU mod: Talia by cptmikehawk420

There's a new mod character for Hentai University by Cap!

She's been added to the online version, just go to the game console:

Extract in the hentai university folder, then go to game console to enable her.

Her first appearance is in the shopping district. If you get stuck be sure to try checking around in the evening, and be sure to buy the security camera item from the shopping district.

Mary-Lou Finished

The central focus of v5 is done, introducing Mary-Lou. I think she might be a bit too one note, at least until her impregnation. Because I made her third scene so long her entire character ends up being "wants to get pregnant", moving from stuttery nervous gal to 100% done with this impregnate me now over only three encounters.

She's gotten a fair bit of feedback on the public test server, speaking of:

Pocketmanz overhaul conundrum

I was having fun with palworld and decided to make a new card set based on them. **Just for now**, I've disabled the old cards to test ideas on the PTR:

As you can see I made a lot! Finding loose cards can be fun, but I also wanted to try making actual packs. If that one tcg pocket app can make an advent calendar pack-puller fun, maybe I can to? But doing that needs more cards than I currently have.

Still, there's a lot to consider. The design space is pretty overwhelming, there's feral vs anthro versions to consider, flat chest vs booba, normal sized vs shortstackified, and all in addition to whether they have a dongus or a vagoo.

You'll need to use the even the funko pops cheat and it'll show all the pal cards. All the old pocketmanz cards images are broken while I test this stuff.

If you do pop in to look at the cards, be sure to let me know which ones are your favorites so I know what to avoid cutting (If I need to cut any)

I feel like I've managed to break it down enough that I can run a poll:

Question 1: How to organize and display the male/female versions of cards:

Group everything together

+ Omnivores can collect everything

+ No need to add extra buttons

+ All cards display together

+ Combining cards will be easier to code in

- Memory issues due to the amount of cards onscreen

- Similar art between male/female cards will stick out

Separate male and female cards by set

+ Omnivores can collect everything

+ Cleanly separates by carnivore and vegetarian modes

+ No worries about similar male/female art

- More buttons to deal with

- Will need to use brain and think about cross-set card combining

Make female cards replace male cards when in vegetarian mode

+ Way less cards to clean up

+ No need to add extra buttons

+ All cards display together

- Every male card will need a direct female counterpart

- Omnivores won't be able to collect male and female cards

And question 2: Lots of cards, or fewer cards:

Multiple sets of cards per pocketman, combinable collectables

+ Lots of cards

+ I can give player packs of cards instead of singles

+ I can do multiple bodytypes/poses

- Hard to make cards feel distinct and special

- Needs many cards to account for male/female/futa variants

- Less polish per card

- Need to separate cards into pages to prevent memory issues

- Balance between male/female cards might be skewed

+ I can be sure there are the same number of male / female cards

- Harder to pick which bodytype I want to go with

Of course direct feedback would be very helpful too. Should I do something specific with rarity? With bodytypes? I haven't coded it in yet, but there are male/female/feral/dickgirl tags in the code for future content filtering.

Keep in mind all the cards have already been generated. I feel I'll probably go crazy trying to cut down and pick just one set per mon, though I could make a dedicated shortstack set later? I don't know, this is all too much brain power for a minor thing meant to make exploration more fun. Please do the brainwork for me...
