Hello! So, now that people can actually subscribe I wanna test stuff and figure out how best to use SubscribeStar!
Since there's no way to sort posts into categories, I'll have the game's name and type of post at the top of these, such as a [Poll], [Preview], or [Release]. My best guess is that emails you guys will get will read something like "New post, click to see!", but ideally it would display the game's name so people not interested in a game can ignore news about it.
Aside from that our first order of business is to see how polls and such work. One option is to "Weight votes based on Subscribers' tier prices", but no real info beyond that, it's vague, so let's see how it works! Is the weight a multiplier or a multiplcand? Let's see!
Before the poll itself, I made an ImgChest list to serve as an overview of the game's characters plus a few extra images at the end: https://imgchest.com/p/a846xp5kz4x I'll update the preview gallery on my neocities page soon, as the gallery currently uses an older artstyle.
The game will have a set of main characters, with minor characters only playing smaller bit parts. Today's poll and test of the weighting system will be on who deserves main character status, which design is better, Helena the Hyena, or the forest spirit Deity?
As far as I can tell SubscribeStar doesn't let you upload images and use them inline, so I'll attach the images and you can see them at the bottom. Since the game will eventually have a furry and non-furry version I've added both versions for you to make an educated decision. My original plan was for Deity to get main character status, but Helena's human form has dat undercut... Remember that Deity can transform between two forms, in the furry version it's a fox, in the non-furry version of the game it'll be a ghost.
Syrup Town Poll 1: Helena vs Deity begins, and will close in 1 week. The loser won't get removed from the game completely, just won't get nearly as much focus.
