Episode 5 - Progress Report #5
Hey everyone
I've had a bit of a stressful week, so I didn't get much done unfortunately ๐ซ. I did get to continue with renders today though and I'm positive next week is gonna be back to normal.ย
Here's the progress anyways:
- Writing: 85%
- Character models: 50%
- Environments: 14%
- Renders: 15%
- Day 14: 265/300
- Day 15: 0/600
- Day 16: 0/450
- Day 17: 0/450
- Music/Sound: 0%

And on another note, I started a poll a couple weeks back, asking "What did you choose at the end of Ep. 4?". Here are the combined results from Patreon & SubscribeStar:
- 1) The Kitten - 116 votes - 37%
- 2) The Siren - 113 votes - 36%
- 3) The Cuckquean - 84 votes - 27%
It's a very close win for the more submissive route. But all in all a pretty balanced result! Which makes me honestly very happy ๐. I didn't really know what to expect when I started the poll, so seeing all the routes are liked fairly well is encouraging. Of course we haven't seen much of them so far, so it could be interesting to see how the favorites change a couple episodes down the line.

Second week of doing renders. Not much to report, except that everything's going according to plan ๐.

I'll finish day 14 sometime next week and I'm already excited to start day 15. Lots and lots of interesting stuff happening there ๐! And also a lot of stuff that'll change depending on your previous choices...

Episode 5 - Progress Report #3
Hey everyone
First week of doing renders has been going well! So far there's slightly less renders per scene than estimated, which I'm very happy about. Let's see if my estimates hold up ๐. I've also spent a little time finishing a new character and a new environment.
Here's the progress so far:
- Writing: 85%
- Character models: 50%
- Environments: 14%
- Renders: 6%
- Day 14: 110/300
- Day 15: 0/600
- Day 16: 0/450
- Day 17: 0/450
- Music/Sound: 0%
๐ Estimated release date: September/October
Progress with renders will be a bit slow until all the environments and characters are done. And there's actually quite a few new environments in the next episode. Most of them won't be too much work, but they still need a bit of time to set up properly. And there is one that needs some special attention and will take a little longer. If you've paid attention in the last episode, you can maybe guess which lair I'm talking about ๐.

Episode 5 - Progress Report #2
Hey everyone
I've spent this week reviewing and refining the written draft for Episode 5. I did cut out some unnecessary parts and I think now it might be at a manageable size. Maybe ๐ฌ. It's still hard to guess how many renders it'll eventually gonna amount to, but I've decided to go for it.
I'm not 100% happy with the draft just yet. There's a couple scenes that need a bit of a rework, but nothing that would dramatically change the overall size I think. The beginning of the episode is more or less done though, so I'll start doing renders now and rewrite the other scenes at a later time (I need a bit of a break from writing right now ๐
).
I've also already created one of the new characters for the episode. I had a lot of fun with this one, she's a bit of a unique character ๐. And just to be sure, I'm gonna mention it again: People sometimes get a little freaked out when they hear that there's EVEN MORE new characters coming, but remember that even the tiniest side character needs a model, so that's where that number comes from. Not every new character will play a big role.
So here's the rough estimate for the progress:

- Environments: 0%
- Renders: 0%
- Day 14: 0/300
- Day 15: 0/600
- Day 16: 0/450

Episode 5 - Progress Report #1
Hey everyone!
It's been a while since I've done one of these ๐. First of all, a warm welcome to all the new members that joined in the last couple weeks ๐!ย
With the public version now released as well, I want to thank you all for the comments and feedback to Episode 4. I'm fairly happy with its reception and I'm also very grateful for the many new supporters that found their way here. If you have more feedback, comments or want to chat with other fans, go check out my Discord server.
Now, onto development of Episode 5...
I've spent the last couple weeks writing the episode. I initially planned to make this episode smaller than the last one, but while writing an outline I encountered a couple problems with pacing and "packaging" the episode. Not only for Ep.5 but the one following it as well.
I made some plan changes and eventually decided to just start writing. I currently have a finished rough draft, but...
Starting with this episode it's a bit harder to estimate render counts, since I used to do that via amount of dialog blocks. But as the story progresses, there's a lot more small variations of dialog depending on your choices. A lot of them don't necessarily have different renders, which means that the render estimates with my old method would now probably overshoot by a lot.
This means it's even harder for me to figure out how long an episode really is when it's written, but even with all that I'm still pretty sure my current draft would be too big for one episode.
I've decided to spend some more time getting this draft in order before I start with renders. I currently can't say if I'll cut it down to a more appropriate size or if I'll split it in two. I'm currently leaning towards the former, since the latter would bring a whole bunch of other difficulties with it. So... thanks for your patience ๐
. I hope to finish it this coming week so that I can start with renders a week from now.
I'm also aware that I'm a little behind on bonus renders, but I want to prioritize writing the episode before I spend too much time with other things.
I also want to do a couple polls about Ep. 4, so if you haven't finished it yet, you might want to be a little careful, since you might see things pop up here with some mild spoilers.

Episode 4 - Progress Report #17
Hey everyone
It's time for the final progress report for Episode 4! ๐ฅณ
I've finished all 1760 renders for the episode. So, once again, the episode will be the biggest one yet (Ep. 3 had 1530 new renders)... I do plan on ending that trend with this episode and go back to slightly smaller updates. But let that be a problem for future-me in a couple weeks ๐

Release dates ๐:

I'm currently still working on music. Unfortunately I have to replace most of the songs in the game with this update, due to some ToS changes ๐ข. I was very worried about this, since I feared that I couldn't keep the same "vibe" going with so many changes, but I'm actually decently happy with the new selection so far. I know I'll miss some of the songs, but I think with others it's actually quite an upgrade. I'm curious what you'll think about it ๐.
So far I'm done with replacing the tracks from Episode 1 - 3, and I added about 60 new songs for this. Now all that's left is music and SFX for Episode 4. And after that it's just testing, testing and more testing. So, all on course for a release on Thursday! ๐ฅณ
Since this is the first time we'll have an early access, there'll be some additional rules up in regards to spoilers and whatnot (mainly for Discord), but I'll post those next week together with the release. There will be one last preview pic on Monday; the bonus renders and pin-ups I'll do after the 9th. I probably won't post a progress report for a little while since I'll be busy with the release fallout and the planning of Ep. 5 (and there's usually not much to report in those very early stages).
