I'm currently working on a big scene with a lot of different poses (wink wink), which takes a bit of extra time when setting up the renders, but otherwise I'm making good progress. I'm slowly getting back into the groove of doing renders all week. It's all about finding a nice workflow with some background noise that keeps you entertained but doesn't distract too much (Podcasts or Let's Plays usually are a nice middle ground for me). I'm hoping to speed up some more, especially after the current scene is finished.

I also wanted to share the results of the poll from a while back. The question was: What kind of sexual scenes are you most interested in seeing in EI?

The poll results won't directly affect the scenes in the game, but it's always good to have an idea where the community stands with these things. I think most options here are ranked roughly where I expected them to be. The three things that surprised me the most: 1) The big difference in popularity between Ashe being dominant or submissive with fem characters; 2) The low popularity of feet, since I always got a lot of comments about that; 3) The high popularity of impregnation, even though I knew it'd be popular, I didn't think it would get over 50% of people to vote for it. All in all, every option got a fair amount of votes though, so I think that's nice (even last place still got 11% of people's votes).

Episode 8 - Progress Report #10

I'm feeling better and I'm back on doing renders for about three days now. Speed should pick up again soon! 🙂

Season 2 will start at a somewhat calmer point in Ashe's life after having dealt with some crazy stuff in the last couple episodes. She's slowly coming to accept that her secret is out now. While she still feels uncomfortable about it, it seems that most of her friends have her back and that the damage done is manageable after all.

Ms. X seems to have disappeared, and as predicted, the viral storm of the leaked party video has passed for the most part. Ashe's search for a new job proves difficult, which means she likely can't be picky once she finds something. Moira Cadwell's campaign for mayor is in full swing, which will also bring a light to what kind of person her opponent is.

Then there's the mysterious Kendra who is back in town, leaving Ashe curious to what led to her falling out with Evelyn. And of course, Ashe's own past is still haunting her both in her sleeping and waking moments.

Episode 8 - Progress Report #8

I've been spending the week creating the new character models and some environments.

Here is the current progress:

The episode will contain around 2600 images, which likely makes it the second biggest one so far. As usual though, the estimate is a pretty rough one. I think I guessed pretty generously this time.

Episode 8 will take place after a 3-day time skip and will span four days (Thursday - Sunday), with a bit of a bigger event happening on Saturday.

The three new character designs are finished. The new additions are relatively important characters who have their part to play in the story, but they aren't love interests. They might get a few steamy scenes here and there, but for the new season I do want to focus mostly on the established cast when it comes to romance and sex. I am happy how the three characters turned out. I think each of them brings something new to the table, both in personality and looks. I will also tell you that not all of them are particularly likable 😅.

When it comes to the environments, I am done with the first one, and currently working on the second one. We'll be visiting a handful of new places, some of them a bit more out in nature, which is a nice change from the usual urban areas.

My plan now is to finish the environment I am currently working on, and then start with the actual renders. I will create the remaining environments between doing renders over the next couple weeks. Weekly preview images will be up on Mondays again soon, starting on the 12th.

Episode 8 - Progress Report #7

Hey everyone

I finished the writing part for this episode 🥳. I did some reworks of certain scenes and I am happy with how everything flows now. I'm certain there will be more changes coming, but for now it's time to move on to the visuals.

I haven't really taken the time yet to make calculations for render counts and stuff like that. I'll break that down for you in next week's report. This coming week I'll probably be busy with creating the new characters, new outfits, and new environments. So I'm not starting with renders just yet, but it shouldn't be too far off now.

I also wanted to share the results of the poll from a while back. The question was: "Which main love interests are you most intrigued by and most excited to see more of?"

Not too many surprises I think. Fiona is topping the charts once again, probably at least partially thanks to having the most content in the game so far. Rachel and Evelyn are closest to Ashe, so it makes sense they'd have a top spot as well. Followed by them is the cutie squad Delilah and Lexi. People also still have hope for Vanessa to redeem herself somehow, it seems. Natasha as the most controversial one still got a good amount of votes. Bella and Oriana haven't had too much of the spot light yet, so makes sense that they're down there (surely thanks to Bella's grating attitude as well 😅). And last but not least, poor Kate. It's been a while since we've seen something with her, so maybe that has tanked her votes a bit too.

Thanks for participating in the poll. As always, polls like this won't have a direct effect on the story. This is more for me to check in with the community to get a feeling of where your minds are at.

Episode 8 - Progress Report #6

Hey everyone

I made some progress with writing this week. First draft of the episode is done! 🥳

After going through the whole thing again, I do want to rewrite two bigger scenes though:

One of them because it doesn't really work as intended and just drags on for way too long. It's kind of a group game thing (similar to the hot tub scene in Ep. 6), and while I like the idea there, it just messes up pacing too much. I'll have to see if I want to cut it down a lot, or if I want to replace it entirely with something else.
The second scene has the opposite problem. It's too short for the impact it has on the story, so I'll try to get that across a bit better and give it some more time in the spotlight.

There might be a few other, smaller things to change as well.

I was also busy with the release Premium/Free releases this week, which took more time than expected thanks to technical issues everywhere 😖. That should all be dealt with for now though, and I can finally fully focus on Episode 8 🙂.

I also know that many people have asked for official translations to the game. I've decided to push that back to 2027. The Steam release has already eaten so much of my time, I just want to finish another episode of the game before I go back to taking care of administrative things like that. So, if you're waiting for translations, you'll need to be a bit more patient, sorry. I will address that again after Episode 8 is out (estimate for that is still somewhere between December and February), and I will also let you know which languages I have in mind then.
