Full Body Alchemist ALPHA-03 Build for Subscribers (August Build)!

Welcome everyone! Happy to see such enthusiasm for Full Body Alchemist!!!!

It has been quite a busy month with all of the additions and improvements to the game and adding a Demo release on top of things to manage. A handful of unexpected bugs popped up (damn you Dictionary importing) mostly related to saving the game, but those are all fixed in this version. On top of everything else, we reached the first milestone for Full Body Alchemist and I look forward to seeing which one of the new areas you all desire the most!

Get down and funky in the Nuclear Swamplands. Originally the height of industry, it has now become a long abandoned dumping ground of all sorts of toxic waste. Luckily, some creatures started to mutate and thrive in the strange new environment... unluckily, they might not be so friendly.

So many changes and additions, but with this, the last of the missing major systems should be in place. Now it’s refining, polishing, and adding more content/building on existing systems!

NEW LEVEL – Nuclear Swamplands - Select the area from the level select screen to explore the swampy new area. There are three basic enemies and a boss waiting for you at the end of it, alongside 13 new area exclusive events and 47 new area/TF exclusive techniques. Rat transformation and the Aptitude reducing Irradiated status are just a few of the new things to experience.

Nuclear Swamplands CGs... That you can look at! - Three new Places of Interest (CGs) are hidden in the new level to discover. You can find them just like the previous ones, and check them out back at the lab in the CG book... but I ran out of time programming the cutscenes, so you can enjoy looking at the images for now.

CORE MODS!!!!!!!! - The major system, Core Mods (that I may or may not accidentally call relics from time to time), is here! Discover these powerful passive items with a plethora of different effects and use them to help your run. If you complete a run with them, you will get Mod Points and be able to use them to start the run with the Mods already active!

Auto-Save is back, in Pog form! - Thanks to some feedback and a bit of my own playtesting, I was able to nail down the bugs with the saving/loading system and now everything SHOULD be working correctly.

Basic Settings - A settings menu has been added with a few basics I could squeeze in for the most value. I do plan to expand on it later, but at least now you can tweak the volume and toggle full screen.

FULL SCREEN - This week I learned that my 13 year old monitors that comfortably display 1280x720 games is apparently very small by modern standards... So Full Screen is back! I’ll look into adding more resolution presents too, but at the minimum, now people should be able to see things.

New Research - Unlock the Greed Stone Core Mod and get an “extra life” by increasing your Stamina at the research table. More permanent, unlockable upgrades to come in the future and have various unlock conditions.

How to Play - Zoey now explains some things about the game if you listen to her yap in the “How to Play” section of the title menu. Considering a way to auto-complete/skip bits of dialogue in the future.

CHEATS - No only are Tainted+ level subscribers able to change and customize the colors of their Homunculus, but now there are several available cheats added just for them! These are just some basic ones, but more will be coming in the future.

Various Fixes/Adjustments - A bunch of smaller things like adding some background SFX to the lab so it’s not silent, fixing some event text, getting a few of the events that were not showing up to work, etc...

For those who want to go beyond and really support the development of Full Body Alchemist, I have a special feature just for you: Color Customization! Since this is so early in the project, I wanted to give you something a little extra before the cheats are implemented. In the customization screen, you can click the little check boxes next to the color indicators to customize the color of specific parts of your homunculus.

Additionally, this lets you use the bondage preview in the homunculus customizer screen. The UI for It is a little bugged, but it works all the same.

Finally, CHEATS! Some of them are as simple as giving yourself free Materia, while others let you ignore MP limits or start the battle with you and/or your opponent in Pleasure Break. Tweak the game to your liking, and expect even more to come. Just access the CHEATS menu from the title screen menu.

Full Body Alchemist ALPHA-02 Build for Subscribers (July Build)!

This month has been a busy one, but I think you all will be quite happy with how things are shaping up. Now that a lot of the groundwork is taken care off and relatively problem free, it’s time to polish some things up and add a little more flavor to savor as I prepare for the second area and everything that goes with it.

The update you all have been waiting for is finally here! Create your body and head on out to the Mall of the Mindless for some kinky roguelite sex fight fun! You will notice that there’s been a lot of visual improvements over the previous version alongside some core features to sink your teeth into as you try your best to conquer the bimbos... or become one yourself. Find the three secrets to unlock CGs for our hot MILF Alchemist Zoey to “investigate” and end up in even steamier situations!

There’s probably more changes that what I listed here, but the picture of my notes were too blurry to read so here’s the big changes:

• BEAUTIFUL ART - I bring you, drawn by my own hand, a lab complete with backgrounds and special button images for things like going to the map, researching TFs, a book of CGs, and the tube of customization. Status Effects, Attacks, and Icons are now dressed in their own glorious icons and every event you encounter has an image to go with it. Banished are the placeholder checker box textures!
• Mall of the Mindless CGs - For those of you who subscribed, you already got a preview of the CGs you can discover in the first area. Search for events and try different options to unlock them (win or lose) and then once you beat the level for the first time, you can then view any CG you want in the CG book.
• Auto-Save is HERE! - YEEESSS! Your game now saves! It will carry over to all future versions as well, so play to your hearts content and never have to worry about losing progress...
• Erase Data is also here! - In the upper left hand corner of the home base screen, you will see a button that will erase your save data. There is no warning yet since I wanted to get it in before today’s release, so if you accidently click it, you must immediately close the game to salvage things. An actual confirmation/warning will be added in the future.
• Abandon Run - It’s so easy, just click the button on the map screen in the upper right hand corner. Abandoning counts as a loss, but you’ll still get credit for any Points of Interest (CGs) you came across.
• Status Aptitudes - The system is now in place that shows your aptitudes for each status. The effectiveness of your base stat points are affected by these aptitudes, ranked S-F, with C being average. Your aptitudes are determined by the combination of transformations, and may also be affected by events or relics in the future.
• Exploration UI Enhancements - After triggering events while exploring, you’ll see the pop-ups and sound effects appear over your character to give you a better idea of what just happened.
• More Mall of the Mindless Backgrounds - The background on the map and in battle now shift based on what “tier” of node you’re exploring.
• Node Limitations - A little behind-the-scenes work to make each run a little more consistent. There’s now ranges on how many nodes can be event/combat nodes per tier, and some events can only be seen once per run.

FINISHER OVERHAUL FIESTA!

This one is so big it needs its own emphasis. Complete with 32 more finisher specific attacks, I’ve reworked the combat to be a little more engaging and intuitive. In the old system, you had to hold your opponent in a finisher while their energy dropped enough to no longer fight back. That’s not how things work anymore.

Now to win (or lose) combat, you simply have to max out your opponents Submission/Corruption gauge (submission is what it’s called now, might change it to corruption later). You do this by attacking as usual, but now when their pleasure meter is full, you cause them to go into “Pleasure Break.” While in this mode, you can then start a finisher. This limits their options as they try to escape and lets you keep on the pressure as long as they don’t escape.

Additionally, when you are in Pleasure Break, an enemy might transform you or bind you in place of using a finisher.

Hopefully this keep things more intuitive, fun, and snappy.

I have it on the agenda to add CHEATS in August’s release as well, just something to look forward to.

Devlog NEXT WEEK!

Next week I will talk about plans for the Nuclear Swampland area, the long promised Core/Relics system (I’ve already started implementing it), and the PUBLIC FREE DEMO that I hope to release around the third Friday of August. Hopefully, with a little marketing, we can blast through those milestone goals in order to give you supporters a voice in what’s added and hook you up with Mod support and also so I can take a day off without feeling guilty T.T!
