Hi! Once again, it's been a while since I last made a post here on SubscribeStar.
But I think my posts will become more frequent from now on! 😸💖

A few months ago, I decided to go back to developing NekoSuki in Unity.
Unreal is a great engine, but I realized certain quirks that would hamper NekoSuki's development on it.
After much research and tests, I feel I can develop the game more easily in Unity after all.

Last month, I was busy with other studies and tasks, unrelated to NekoSuki.
I already finished them. This month, I plan to spend more time developing the game. 🐱

I made some Akimi images in NovelAI 😻💖
The first image is a great reference for NekoSuki's intended art style.

With the help of NovelAI, I'm able to make art featuring Akimi and other NekoSuki characters. Including hentai art 😼😽

Some time ago, I also started writing an 18+ short story from NekoSuki's lore. NovelAI also helps me a lot while writing, to avoid writer's block.

Hi! It's been a while since I last made a post here on SubscribeStar.
Since the previous post, I migrated the NekoSuki project to Unreal Engine 5.

I like Unreal so far! I'll be much more able to realize my vision for NekoSuki using Unreal's toolset and features. 🐱💖

Here are some screenshots of how the game's currently looking in Unreal.
These are the results of doing some Unreal Engine tutorials, but I plan to start making actual content and maps for NekoSuki soon. 😸

Hello, everyone! :3

These last few months, I've been mostly working freelance on another game project. I'm almost finishing an important milestone on that project.
But I also worked a bit on NekoSuki, some days ago. :)

I updated the NekoSuki project to Unity 2023.1. This alone made the game's visuals much better, thanks to RealToon URP 15 shader.

I'm aware Unity 2023.2 was recently released.
But I can't upgrade to 2023.2 yet, because the MicroVerse terrain tool doesn't work correctly on 2023.2, for now. (; - ;)

I also updated Platformer Project (the main gameplay framework), so my game can have the awesome custom gravity features from its latest version. :D

I did a major cleanup on NekoSuki's Unity project, I removed many unused assets and packages. This cut down my domain reload times by half. :D

I also updated the Hot Reload plug-in for Unity, it's very reliable now.
It helps a lot with the code iteration times!

Now, I'm pretty much ready to resume working seriously on NekoSuki.
I just need to finish some stuff on my freelance project first.
