A Message from the Developer: New Features & The Future of NLWMD

Hello everyone!

First of all, I want to sincerely apologize for my long absence. Life sometimes gets in the way, but my passion for New Life With My Daughter has never faded. I’m back now, and I’m fully committed to bringing you updates much more frequently than before.

Technical Overhaul & Optimization
During my time away, I’ve performed a massive overhaul of the entire game script. With the help of advanced AI-assisted development (my new "Senior Developer" partner), I have optimized the engine logic and eliminated many legacy bugs. The game is now more stable, faster, and ready for rapid content expansion.

New Features in v.0.7.0b:

  • Static vs. Dynamic Toggle: I’ve added a new function that allows you to switch between static images and dynamic video (.webm) modes. You can find this toggle in the game menu and in the top-right corner during Day 7. Choose the mode that best fits your PC performance or personal preference!

  • Your Voice Matters: At the end of the latest update, you will find a feedback survey. Please let me know if you enjoyed this part and what you think of the new features. Your feedback directly influences the development!

What’s Coming Next:

  • Better Translations: Starting with future updates, the English localization will be handled by advanced AI (DeepL and LLM models) for much more natural and consistent dialogues.

  • In-Game Gallery: I am already planning to implement a full CG Gallery, so you can revisit your favorite moments at any time.

  • More Mechanics: Expect more interactive features and quality-of-life improvements in the upcoming versions.
