Important Update - Please Read
Hey guys,
So, there's a bit of a big update about the project and it's unfortunately not good news. As you are aware the project has not had the smoothest of sailings this year. In fact this year has been specifically rough for the project and me too. And it seems the rain continues to pour...
I'll cut straight to the chase and say I'm very disappointed to announce, through measures beyond my control, there has been significant delays in the art department for the past short while. I won't go into details as that would be disrespectful and unprofessional to those involved, but it unfortunately has affected the ability to generate a new build in a timely manner.
With that said, the project is going to go on a hiatus for a while as we try to pick things up again and go from there. I know this is disappointing news, especially given everything else that has happened this year, but it is unfortunately beyond my control to prevent.
To clarify a couple of things though:

With that said, the project is going to go on a hiatus for a while as we try to pick things up again and go from there. I know this is disappointing news, especially given everything else that has happened this year, but it is unfortunately beyond my control to prevent.
To clarify a couple of things though:
- The project is not being abandoned
- Witchking will still be producing artwork going forward
- The subscribestar will remain open so people can continue to support if they wish to and get us back on track
- Beta builds will be removed from all reward tiers
- Beta builds will hopefully return next year starting from sometime in Q2 onwards
- Space Pimp & Space Ranger tiers will operate as normal from this month onwards
- I recommend Space Pirates cancel their pledge or move down to Space Cowboy (though you can continue supporting as Space Pirate if you wish!)
- Space Cowboys (& Space Pirates) will gain access to the bonus sketches (though only Space Pimps & Rangers will have access to the Alternate Universe small game project)
Hopefully this will be the last hurdle in the project until it comes time to release it completed. I appreciate you all for sticking with the project through thick and thin, it really means a lot and I hope by the end of this journey we can all celebrate with what has been created!

Next build - Update
Hey guys,
Just wanted to give an update on what's going on with the next release. This month I have been extremely focused on the battle system and really making a push to get this done and added to the game.
At the moment I'd say it's about 80% of the way there. There are some animations that need to be added and some more artwork for a few various situations. However, that said, I'm really happy with the way it is shaping at the moment!
The system really supports the character archetypes we've created with the 3 characters we have sorted at the moment. Kittenna really feels like an unstoppable force who deals a load of damage, Lillith can never be brought down as the immovable object she is and Mia will make enemies regret engaging the crew with her ability to layer status effects and keep her allies in the fight. I've wanted to make it so players have the choice to build the character's how they like, and provide different synergies to their allies.
Unfortunately with all the new mechanics and systems added to the game it will require a new save and this is pretty unavoidable. But in some ways this lines up with the intention of the next build which is to update the character routes with this new battle system as well as the intended re-writing / re-jigging of character storylines (incorporating the date ideas I've mentioned previously.)
So hopefully this new version of the game dropping in October will be a bit of a fresh air for the project and I'm excited about to delivering it to you guys! This build will feature Lillith, Kittenna & Mia's update and their introduction to the battle system. The build after will then feature Malaena, Catherine & Shelly being added to the battle system as well as having their own paths updated.
