It's posed. I'm not overly satisfied with the rendering, however. I seem to have some issues with the wet skin geoshell I have used until now. It always served me well, so far. I don't know why but on most of the renders, it doesn't look as good as it used to. It will have to do though.
There are about 20 images left to render, I should be able to deal with them over the weekend.
Coding phase one is done, and I sent the script to my proofreader.
Next week will most likely be intense.
The post-processing should be a breeze now that I have found a way to automatize it. I've already done most of it anyway.
I have some coding left to do and a list of bugs, typos, and details to correct. I also have to find some new music. I do hope to be done with all this by Thursday and proceed with a short round of closed beta before a release in early July.

The bathroom scene. It was horribly bad. The new script is way better. And way longer too. I wanted to keep it under 2000 words, but in the end, couln't. After the final edit, the scene is 2618 words long and it feels just right. I've cut the scene and prepared it for posing. There are a lot of variants in the scene and I will be reusing the shots from path to path. I have planned 65 shots, over 4 different sets that I will have to slightly rework. I'm obviously talking about the light, as always. Upgrading the sets shouldn't be too hard. I've already taken care of the first one. Posing has begun. The first 11 images are ready for rendering. I will most likely get to that next week.
So, what to expect from the new version of that scene?
The story remains the same, it's not about change but about improving, even if in the end, there isn't a single trace of the old script left. A better script, a better flow, better dialogues and interactions, and better visuals too, of course. I'm always ashamed when I come back to these old parts of the game. The original scene 3 is about 500 words and 15 renders. It was ridiculously short, and quite frankly bad, for a pretty important scene, on some path at least. It was hurting the story. In the end, reworking these scenes feels like I'm just righting some wrongs.
I think I can make some good progress next week, there will be some challenging shots but most of them should be fairly easy. I should be able to finish the posing, and maybe even progress on the coding of scene 32.
If all goes as planned, we could be heading for a release in early July.
