Commissions opening

Happy holidays, everyone! I hope the season has been going well for you.

I've said a couple of times this year that commissions would be coming "soon", that I'd planned to do more this year... Clearly that hasn't gone as I had intended for it to go, as we settle into the very last week of 2024. But I'd also said that one of my goals was to have commissions again before the end of the year, and as "well, technically..." as this is, I'm still sticking with that!

Disclaimer that it's unlikely I'll start any commissions before January has begun, but I'm opening for slots now. I'm still deciding how many slots there will be - it'll depend on the scale of the requests I'm getting, probably only one or two 'big' scenes, maybe some space for a couple smaller projects or maybe even some 3D 'doodles' offered - but I know a few of you have been waiting this whole year and some even longer for the opportunity, so I'd like to at least commit to a few.

Supporters will have priority on any open slots, but just be aware it's not a first-come-first-served or anything, I'll keep requests open until the end of the year and pick my slots based on what I feel most confident with!

In short...

• I'd prefer your request be via email! Much easier for me to not lose track of who's sending requests, it's entirely possible I'll miss a notification or misplace a request if it's somewhere else.
• Let me know up-front what you're looking for, in as much detail as you can provide! Saves us a lot of back-and-forth before I can even give you a yes or a no on the project.
• Prices start at $60-80 USD for most images, $120+ for full scenes, but at my discretion I might offer a lower price if it's something involving my own characters, a scene I want to do, etc. Let me know if you have a specific budget to try and stay within!
• Anything else important, like having a deadline or needing a specific style? Make sure you're letting me know on this early too!

Finally, I'm probably doing 3D renders only for this stuff, but I've left my commissions page with some of my older examples of drawn works and experiments, you can still request this but be warned I'll probably not take these (right now) unless it's something that really catches my interest!

Update - December 2024

Writing up the draft for this an hour before my weekend job, so apologies for any rushed bits!

Starting off on that note... It's winter season (or about to be), and that means a big slowdown in work at the bike shop I've been doing weekends at. Surprisingly still customers coming in for bike services and such - less surprisingly, customers coming in to buy holiday gifts - but overall it's a lot less stressful, sometimes even a bit boring. It still does limit a bit of my time for other projects, but lately it's mostly been family birthdays, holidays, and other events taking up my time. ^^
(Those upcoming events I'd mentioned last month two months ago are all done now by the way, and went mostly quite well! Learned a few lessons, got lost or crashed off the bikes a few times - currently dealing with bruised wrists after crashing in my own driveway last week, actually - but it's been a ton of fun besides those little issues, I feel blessed to be a part of multiple supportive communities now.)

I know I've said a few times before that I intend to open commissions before the end of the year... aaand that's suddenly coming very soon! There's honestly a good chance still I won't be able to achieve that, but I'd like to try, even if it's just confirming slots and working on things into 2025. Probably very limited slots to begin with and being more picky about what I take on, but it's still a goal I want to tackle.

I covered this earlier, so just briefly this time to say that SubscribeStar has doubled from $44 a month to $88, which is so reassuring to see. I don't expect it to get back to where it was anytime soon, but the fact that so many of you were willing to follow along with me through all of this chaos, switching to an arguably more stable but still more difficult to use platform... It really means a lot, so thank you!

And now for the plans stuff!

I don't have a solid plan for a Winter/Christmas piece just yet, so I'm running a bit late there. But I do have plans in general, some of which might suit becoming holiday-themed... I have a plan for Nyue (thus her update just earlier), to give her a first actual feature image. I really liked last year's gingerbread house scene with Aya, Gwen, and Yuumi, so maybe I'll do something along those lines again too (a few different characters showing their holiday spirit?).
And I'm also thinking back to that wintery giantess scene I did, just experimenting with something a little more 'artistic' and detached from any particular setting or characters... Maybe I should make a habit of doing at least one of those each year, too? A little off-the-beaten-path experiment. I don't think I've ever done a 'generic' giantess in a city, for example...

Definitely more on the way, and I'll be trying to cram as much into 2024 as I can! More character updates and remakes, more finished pieces, doodles, commission slots, you name it. Just bear with me a bit as I continue to juggle a few too many things and figure out how best to trim it all down to something consistently manageable for me. ^^

Nyue (profile update 2024)

And now for an extra-old character update! It seems I never really made a proper introduction for Nyue when I first made her (not even sure what year that was in, probably 2015-ish), so this will be both update and introduction it seems ^^

Nyue is a Paeran catgirl, as her appearance might suggest! Ears, tail, the occasional overwhelming urge to bat at small fluffy things, the usual stuff. Magically quite a capable size-manipulator, though she can only shrink people, not undo her work... Well, aside from the 'usual' method of returning someone to their original size in Paeratopa, which her appetite helps with.
Partly because of this magical limitation, partly just trying to be nice, Nyue generally tries not to shrink others, but when she's especially hungry, nobody - not even herself - can suppress her appetite; it's an urge she's sometimes a little upset by her lack of control over, as she'll sometimes shrink a tasty-looking prey without even realizing she's doing so.

That being said, humans (and other such races) are still food to her, as much as she does like them to also be friend; while she's especially apologetic over such lapses in control over herself, that doesn't mean she's not going to enjoy indulging herself when the opportunity presents itself! She just wishes she had a little more willpower over the matter. (Also as a result though, she quite likes finding people already shrunken, or better yet, ones who don't mind being a kitty snack!)
