SABLE NOCTIS BIO

It’s time we discussed the titular character herself.

Sable Noctis rules the Dark Elves of Mawl, a realm in the southern reaches of Myre, which is a vast continent teeming with grim and savage races, creatures, and stranger things still. At the heart of Mawl lies its mercurial capital, the city of Noctis, and within it, the seat of Dark Elf power: Noctis Castle.

As to how Sable came to rule Mawl, following her mother’s assassination at the hands of a Grimwall human named Kaios, she became its queen, her father having died some years earlier under mysterious circumstances.

While the newfound queen did her best to consolidate power, overseeing Mawl proved challenging. If noble conflicts of interest and civil wars weren't enough, the marauding Horde led by their human commander, Kaios himself, invaded the elven territories not long ago. 

Given the Horde's lightning pace and unabated aggression, the High Elf kingdom of Aurora quickly succumbed; not that they and their dark elf cousins were on the best of terms, but the enemy of one's enemy...

Without High Elf aid, to say nothing of the capricious wood elves', in a desperate attempt to marshal forces rivaling Kaios’, Sable offered nearly all of House Noctis’ considerable wealth, Castle Noctis having been built into a mountain’s rich gold vein, to every plunder-hungry mercenary willing to serve Sable.

Answering the call in legion, northern Grimwall manfolk, orcs from the western Badlands, even monstrous creatures from the very Maw itself, including Tentacle Monsters and Succubi, have joined Sable's desperate defense.

And while some might say Sable's actions were reckless, the queen has never been known for possessing a level head. Haughty, authoritative, naive, these are just a few of the ways one might describe Sable. That is, if they weren’t marveling at the queen's "endowments."

A caramel brown, her dark elf skin catches every lurid ray of light within Noctis Castle. Proportioned like an hourglass, Sable's curvaceous hips and breasts flare beyond her bare shoulders; luscious lips pout as she glares at anyone, save her most trusted advisors. Hips swaying with every exaggerated step, Sable’s tapered bob cut is just as non-nonsense as the queen herself.

From heart-stopping cleavage and thighs thick enough that only a tempting gap remains, Sable Noctis is the dark elf paramour, a living testament to her kind’s exoticism.

And that was before Sable's sultry transformation...

And with Kaios' slavering Horde now gathered before Castle Noctis’ wall, every man, beast, turncoat elf, and monster he’s recruited craves one thing, and one thing only: Sable Noctis. 

It’s amidst such dire times that Sable’s Siege begins, and that promises our queen one of two paths: rise, rise and become a queen deserving of her mother’s legacy, or delve into the depths of depravity.

Howdy, R.P. here. First off, thanks for checking out my page. Any indie project can be a solitary endeavor, so your time and attention are a currency all their own.

So...the titular question: What is/why Sable's Siege? For context, here's SS in a nutshell:

Lovely stuff. Whoever wrote that deserves a Nebula Award, but there's more to SS than meets the eye. Yes, people love to state that eroges are just "tits and ass" games, that their contribution to the gaming landscape is purely carnal, to which I'd reply that, while Elden Ring is dark fantasy tragedy porn, you'd be driven out of town for saying that's all it is.

From deliciously diffused storytelling, archaic yet evocative prose, to a panoply of builds, Elden Ring insists you look beyond its morose facade to better understand the nuance hidden in plain sight.

Pompous as it is to compare Sable's Siege with a Fromsoft masterpiece, I'm going to, because, at bottom, both occupy the same space within the gaming world: one of entertainment, contemplation, immersion, and more.

From procedurally generated events, interdependent combat/moral systems, survival-genre preparation, to storytelling that punches well above the genre's weight class, Sable's Siege intends to reshape not only gamers' eroge assumptions, but also elevate the genre.

I've plenty to say about censorship and freedom of expression, so I'd be lying if I said SS wasn't also a girthy middle finger aimed at the Puritanical Payment Service Mafia: PayPal, Stripe, Visa, and Mastercard, whose mid-2025 inquisition not only deplatformed countless adult games, but demonstrated a level of censorship and overreach few seem aware of. Inquisitions like this start with low-hanging fruit, such as pornographic material, but never stop there...

So, why Sable's Siege?

Why demonstrate that "games as art" also applies to eroges?

Why create a game that, were it stripped of its "spicier" elements, would still make for a great experience?

Why refute corporate overreach/censorship, and (gods willing) raise awareness of the gaming inquisition?

It's my hope that, throughout SS' creation, we'll answer that question together.
