Update!

Loose Ends:
A few of you have joined during the two month vacation and for that I apologize! I should have messaged you already with a way to refund you for your generosity, but if you didn’t receive one and feel as though you should have, please send me a DM to clear that up!

The polling that was picked before my two month leave. It was Princess Bubblegum and hex maniac. A promise is a promise to me, so I will put these two on my list of must haves for future public posts. 

I will be deleting , closing or suspending indefinitely these accounts in a week. This is your time to unsub or have your account sit. Either way, you will not be getting charged.

The Why:
I think I do the best work when I’m not pushing myself with content I don’t feel passionate about and the subscription model has been that motivation killer for me. I felt a pressure each month to do the polls, manage character suggestions, then actually do the drawings; along with doing the normal weekly drawing to maintain the public posts, but doing them in advance so I would have a slight backlog if I could keep up. With all that in mind, I was also taking on around 6-10 commissions on top, because the Patreon never made that much in the first place. It all just started to be less fun. I also feel like making content for the sake of having content to fit into this kind of monetization just does not work well with my work style; and making lower quality work to justify it is a poorer experience for both you and me. (To be clear, I think it works perfectly for some people, I’m just not currently that person.)

Future:
I plan to keep posting. Publicly, for free, as I’ve done for the past few years! Continue following me on Twitter and Deviantart, if you wish to see my work! I’m happy to say that I’ll continue to take commissions for those who want something personal. As well as, making comics, which have been a fun new venture! I will never say I’d never return to this kind of subscription system, but for the time being it is far far far out of my mind. Though it would probably be something much more casual if I were.
