Hi everybody!
As said in my previous posts, it's time I let you all decide what I should work so I have a better idea of your expectations and priorities. I'll focus my work on the most voted elements in the poll and depending on the voted elements, I might be able to work on several at a time.
Since Glassix 2 is in it's early development phase, there is a lot to do, meaning a lot to vote for. Moreover, I'm open to suggestions if you want to add some more poll options in the future.
So let's see what I have in store for Glassix 2 so far:
Global Illumination: As explained in Dev Log #10, I'll fix the indoor lighting to improve the visual quality of the game.
Indoor travel waypoints: Currently, you have to use the city map to move between locations. This feature would allow the player to directly click on doors or waypoints in locations to move to the related location, similar to what we have in Glassix. Adding such waypoints is not that complicated however I'll have to create new location models for in between locations, such as hallways and corridors to link locations together. Such new location will also appear in the city map travel menu to easily access them. This new system will only focus on inner infrastructure navigation. This means that unlike Glassix, we won't move streets to streets, instead, when you exit a building or infrastructure (such as a park or mountain or forest or whatever we want to add infrastructure), the player will be sent back to the city map directly.
Free mode: Currently, we only have one scenario and most of my code focuses on scenario mode where you play a specific story, which can be short or long, depending on its creator. Free mode will be the same except there is no scenario and you'll be able to inject your own characters and their family in any city you want and play however you wish. And even later, I think it would be nice to have some kind of packing feature where you can pack up your city setup with all its new characters, jobs and all related entities and easily share it with other players for those of you who are too lazy to set up stuff yourself (I know I'd be among those players lol)
Editors: If you checked the editor main menu in game, you might have seen there are a lot of different editors to code which will allow players to add their own new content in the game! Add new characters, cities, buildings, furniture, events, jobs, businesses, schedules and much more! Everything will have a proper in game documentation too. If this option is voted, I'll release another poll to select which editor to prioritize.
Skill proficiency: A core feature for Glassix 2, actions you do in game will increase your skill experience and once enough is earned, you'll gain a level in this skill nothing too new here but needs to be coded. Events will contains hooks used in the future event editor which will allow players to create there own events in game and give skill experience or even directly level up skills if they want. (So yes, you'll be able to cheat by creating a simple event giving you max level in everything, it's up to the player to decide what kind of experience they want in the game)
Job and business efficiency: V0.5 introduce the business interface which gives you a preview of how you'll be able to climb the ladder in the game and once you have some more responsibility, get more actions to control people around you. Again, more code to write to make it work with new interfaces such as business financial panel and more.
Expand Newbit scenario: Let's focus on the story of Harry Nelson and the Mercer family. This scenario will offer several endings, similar to Glassix, either bad or good (which depends on what you think a "bad" ending is, like in Glassix ;) )
More outfits and hair: No need to explain here ;) On a side note, I do plan to add patrons only outfit and hair packages as a unique reward. Glassix 2 is free but I'd like to add an incentive for support. I'll try to use only generic stuff for those packages so that the public outfits and hair get all the important and classic models (Nurse, office lady and so on). Think of it a pure cosmetic bonus.
More sex animations: Introduced in Dev Log #9, Glassix 2 will offer a more dynamic sex system which will allow control of body parts. So the idea is to both add new sex animations as well as make this system work.
More daily life animations: Sex animations are good yes, but what about daily life animations? When students are studying, teachers are teaching, dancers are dancing, players are masturbating... Let's add various daily life animations to give some more unique life to the game!
Skill specific gameplay: Some of the game skills will require specific coding, such as lockpicking, sneaking and possibly a new one, pickpocketing (Yeah, I played Skyrim a lot back in the days :D). So more coding on this side too!
Spell gameplay: Similar to skills, some spells will require coding and unlock new possibilities in game, such as the possession spell or time stop spell. If this option is voted for, I'll open a new poll to vote for which spell to prioritize too.
I think that should cover the most important for now. A lot to do in perspective but we should get the best adult sandbox simulation game with all that ;) This poll will be updated and released each month on the first few days so you guys can change the focus easily each month and I'll try to release a new version at the end of each month.
Poll ends on Sunday 7 May! Let the voting begin!
