Black Menagerie: Poison Ivy (Main Project)

        1. Textures
  • Minor edits to .vmt files (the file that tells SFM what the texture should be like). Now Ivy's collar glows in the dark as it should.

        2. Animation
  • Ivy's hands now also have the struggling set, pretty much making Ivy and the Machine finished. Some more general smoothing right up until it gets rendered though.
  • Worked on camera angles and movements.
  • GCPD are set.

        3. Other/Misc.
  • Halloween animation is started. A lot of the scene is built (graveyard). Took a long time to edit the .vmt files for the tombstones, so I could make them appear wet from rain. I've added that effect to character models before, but not inanimate objects, so I had to sort what the file even needed. Now I know though for future things.
  • Found some more sounds and converted them for SFM use. Mostly monstrous growls.
  • And that's about it really. This week have been pretty horrible, both in SFM and out. As such, there hasn't been as much progress on any projects as I'd have liked. In fact, 2 ideas have been scrapped (ones I've not mentioned) and the bonus/secret part for Poison Ivy has to be remade from scratch. Thankfully I hadn't gone too far into that one. I did have some ideas on other things for later though, including the next Black Menagerie Club after Poison Ivy.
