JULY 2026 DEVLOG
It’s July! Summer is here and I can barely breathe, not because I’m PHAT but because the temperatures are between 36c – 43c… And with me being from Europe and you know how it is here, we like the environment and the government forbids us from having an AC and they beat us with sticks and baguettes if we dare try using AC’s… So, you know what this means for rendering in this hot weather… Absolutely nothing! I’m from the Balkans part of Europe babyyyy! Here we are the ones who beat up the poleece and not the other way around. So my AC has been running constantly since last month and the room my PC is in, is at a constant 23c (73.4f for you yanks lol). The first thing that I saved up for after I bought a new GPU was a portable AC, since heat was always a problem during summer, and I couldn’t render. But now all is good…. At least for a few more days, until I get the power bill for the month, and I get a heart attack xD.
Anyway, this means that I was able to render almost nonstop, almost because thunderstorms are still a problem, there’s no surge protector that will protect against a direct lightning strike to the power pole that is connected to my house, and if it can send back the DeLorean to 1885 it’s sure as shit it can send my Pc and this game to heaven. So yeah, I’m not taking any chances and a few times I had to unplug my PC, but not as much as last year so far. Yay!
And the good news just keeps coming.
My PC is not dead yet either, nothing has changed I still don’t know which part is the issue though.
it hasn’t given me too much trouble, it restarted a few times while I was at work so a few hours of rendering time was lost, but nothing too bad. Like I said it’s not that big of a problem and when it inevitably happens, I will just replace the broken part. Read what happened here: https://subscribestar.art/posts/2552689
Since last devlog my PC was able to render out 401 new renders, which puts the total render count for this update to 3191 renders so far. And yes, I still have more in the render queue xD
I’m also still rendering animations but until I edit them and add the sfx I don’t want to mention numbers, BUT I'm toying with the idea of posting a preview of one...
As for me I’m feeling great! I have done some coding, play-testing and I’m quite satisfied with the results. More importantly I have done a lot of writing the past month so more than half of the entire story of my game is now fully written.
And for when the update will be released, like I said previously I have no idea. Much bigger developers than me who are doing this full time and for 5+ years can’t predict their release dates, how can a nobody like me then? lol
Good night and thanks for subscribing and keeping this game alive! Here are some new screenshots.
ps: the screenshots are all random from different choices and consequences from this chapter, as usual your actions in this chapter and chapter 1 will heavily influence the scenes you will end up seeing in this update.
